I'm so so sad to have to say this as it's been a place our family has frequented since I was a child, but just for the safety of others- I ordered a lot of food from here last night and ended up with severe food poisoning. I felt the effects just 45 minutes after eating. It was excruciating pain and almost sent me to urgent care. I've came here multiple times with family and have sometimes had a really rude man as the waiter who talks rudely in Chinese which I can clearly understand(not sure what the point is). But recently when I came we were served by a really friendly and accommodating woman who I believe is the owner or the owners wife! She's great. Coming back to this restaurant gave me a nice rush of nostalgia. I used to come here as a kid with my family. Years later, I'm back with my own family and the food is still great! The clams, house crispy noodles, duck, and wonton soup were our favorites. We went with the snow pea leaves since they didn't have water spinach, which was still a nice substitute. The ambiance was comfortable. Service was not amazing but much better than expected. The young lady that served us was very sweet. Just a few small things that could've been better: the hot tea cups were dirty (our server did replace them), our orders weren't written down so one dish was left out (the server quickly put it in and the dish came out pretty fast), and the usual condiments like hot chili oil, soy sauce and vinegar weren't available in any of the tables as they were being refilled (our server did bring some when requested). Been going here ever since I was a kid. I haven't gone here in 2 years so here's my most recent experience. First we ordered the wonton soup. It came with plenty of wontons for a party of 4 with a nice simple broth. Wontons tasted pretty average. I use to looooove their Orange chicken.. However this time they used less sauce, and less meat. It is more crispier than it use to be which is not a bad thing but the way it use to be was better. I also decided to try their Szechuan beef. Some of the meat was kinda chewy. But some were good. The flavor was there. A little kick to it. There is a slight pungent flavor to it that kinda put me off. Probably from the veggies. Lastly we had the crispy tofu with shrimp. This dish took a while to come out but the texture was amazing. There was just a hint of shrimp on top but it complimented well with it. The sauce was light and not too overpowering. It went well with the tofu. Overall had a pleasant experience here. Service was prompt and friendly. We met up with friends here for dinner while we were visiting from San Antonio. The menu was a bit hard to decipher as a vegan since I don't eat any meat or animal products. Inconsistent flavors & RUDE staff! We got take out last week. Cashier not only had bad attitude, but also raised his voice when my mom asked for the receipt. Increased price on everything by almost 3$. Last year a fried rice was 12$ now its 15$ and they wanna charge you 1$ for 2 tiny plastic cups of chili oil. The size portions have also changed, they went from serving out big 2 person sized portion in white styrofoam to-go boxes.
