This place has gotten worse since the last time we were here. The elevator is broken so you have to use the service elevator at the back of the hotel. The breakfast is pretty awful now. Hard broiled egg, some bread, muffin danish, banana, fruit, cereal and juices/coffee is about all they serve now. The carpet has always been nasty. I don't know why they choose to use black lighting throughout the hotel. It gives off a weird blue light at night and makes the property look like a haunted house theme. It feels more like an apartment complex than a hotel. There are dark corners and feels creepy. The bathroom sink doesn't drain properly. I don't think they have any maintenance person because I can see the, "landlord special" all throughout the hotel and rooms. If you don't know what the landlord special is, look it up and enjoy the laughs. We arrived 2 hours earlier and tried to check in. We were told it would be $40 for early check in. Understandable, but pretty bad service considering the hotel is almost empty. Throughout our stay I think I only saw about 10 cars in the parking lot. We chose to go get lunch first instead of paying the $40. I don't think we'll stay here anymore. We only stayed this time because it was the lowest price property for the area besides motels. read more

When we checked in we were informed that the elevator was out of service. We would need to climb to the third floor with a lot of luggage. There was no one who could help us. We had reserved several days earlier, but got no warning about the elevator situation Fortunately, when I said I could not walk stairs (was recovering from an injury), a couple checking in who got the last first floor room (they had just arrived with no reservation) offered me their room. When I finished checking in, I asked the young man at the desk to recommend a nearby restaurant, he replied, "I don't know about restaurants, I never eat out here. I don't live here." When housekeeping took care of our room when we were out, they took away used towels, etc, but did not replace them. We had to call the desk late in the evening. The energy here is thick I think this place seems haunted as is it's eerie asf my bf woke up screaming in his sleep and before that it was just creepy. They also put a mirror in front of the bed which is demonic energy as is. I stay away from all that but yeah eerie hotel. It's legit scary, so dark not enough lighting and when you turn off lights in room you can't even see what's in front of you. We have stayed at the Cupertino Hotel numerous times. This stay was far worse than our previous stays. Our bathroom sink leaked, the bathroom exhaust fan made horrible noises, the shower was awful and the electrical receptacle didn't work. During our previous stays breakfast included hot meals and the happy hour included a variety of hors douevres. This time there wasn't any hot food for breakfast and a single plate of salami and cheese slices during happy hour. We requested early check in when we made our reservation. We did not get early check in and were later told that there was an additional charge for it. We requested a crib with bedding. We received the crib but no bedding, just an infant blanket. The computer workstation has never worked. It cannot access the internet. Any document we needed had to be emailed to the front desk to be printed. We will never stay at the Cupertino Hotel again. read more

Had a great one night stay at the Cupertino Hotel with my partner, family and friends. We stayed here because our wedding was located at the Hakone Estate and Gardens. This hotel was close by, affordable and comfortable. The room was spacious, bed is good, although the bath isn't impressive. It's clean, and nearby stores if you need anything. We enjoyed the hot tub and pool the most. It was relaxing with the palm trees and lights. There was fresh towels laid out by the pool for guests which was nice. Check in and out was easy. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family. read more

The carpet was disgusting! It looks like at one time this was a nice place. Don't let the pictures online fool you. The carpet in my room was the dirtiest I have ever seen. Not only the carpet in my room but all the carpets I saw, like the hallway and dining area. Dimly lit areas near rooms are kind of spooky. I didn't feel totally safe coming into my room late at night. This is a hotel motel kind of place where there are outside walkways to the rooms. With a little renovation and some deep cleaning this could still be a nice place but not with the present owners. Apparently cleanliness and updating is not important to them. I discovered this gem from extended family and I have been coming ever since on my own. I like coming here to relax. There is breakfast you can order the night before and its braught to your room, so you can really enjoy your morning and lounge. Also there is happy hour, a pool and a jacuzzi. However, I think the website was not up to date with their COVID guidance at the time I booked online or may have changed by the time we stayed. OK - so the front desk guy, super super cool and personable! No complaints there. Its the room that needs major fixing... We got a suite which should've had a fridge and it was locked. The jacuzzi didn't even have a stopper and once we tried using it, it didn't even work! As I'm writing this review, I'm currently here at the hotel and the shower head isn't working. So I guess we're not taking a shower before we check out.... none of the employees knew how to use either the jacuzzi or shower head. We're they not trained in knowing how these function? Came to Cupertino to bring my brother to see the Apple Store, and stayed overnight at Cupertino Inn/Hotel. I was lured by their free parking, wifi, and breakfast, but wasn't expecting much since their price point was so good ($131 for a double queen bed room). However, the rooms were spacious and clean-- two TV sets (one in living room and one in bedroom) and a large bathroom with two sinks as well. My favorite part is that in the evenings they have a free happy hour with drinks and small appetizers (just a snack really) and the huge breakfast buffet with omelette station and waffles. Wish I had more of a reason to stay in Cupertino to come back again, but highly recommend this place. Very good value for now. read more

The Pool is heated !!! I booked a Friday afternoon for a cool escape with my kids. We got all set up and found out the pool was HOT. ( keep in mind this is summer weather, we're in June and we're in a heat wave ) The jets were releasing HOT temp water into the pool. Not warm , HOT. The kids tried to hang but their faces were getting really red. I told the man at the front desk and he said the maintenance guy on site had left for the day, and he could not offer me a refund until he spoke with his manager that came back on shift Sunday. I had both my daughters with me and another mom with her daughter. Other parents were complaining of the heat from the pool to front desk staff. Front desk staff said they personally turned down the heat.. In "20 minutes " the pool would be cool for us. The temperature NEVER went down!! We kept checking and tried to make the best of the circumstance's but ended up ordering pizza with snacks and just stayed in the room instead. Total bummer and waste of my money. I feel like people come here for happy hour and juvenile night swimming while drunk. I had the bottom floor and caught no sleep because there was a party outside by the pool and it was really loud. The night desk man had mentioned the elevator was broken due to a party of 90+ people who had broken the elevator one night from a party. I don't think this hotel is kid or family friendly like it used to be. It definitely caters more to juvenile hotel parties. I won't be returning. read more

I'm gonna base this rating on value. Wife booked with some site, like HotelDealz, or something. $104 plus taxes, fees was around $127 I think, for a Friday. Asked for ground floor, got it. Room 104. Pleasant people. Room, bed were nice enough. You can tell that they are trying to update, provide value. You know, carpet a bit worn but clean. TV smaller, but fine. Was a nice room really. Good bed, clean bedding, etc.. Gave us a good tasting glass of free wine at five. The free breakfast is great too. They advertise a pool and hot tub. Pool is nice, but the hot tub was a little murky, and unheated (COLD). This is the reason for four stars, not five. I was kind of looking forward to the hot bubbles, got none. But for the price, I'm not gonna complain much. For what we paid, this hotel delivered. If they had heated that thing, total five star place in terms of value. read more

My experience at the Cupertino Hotel was awful!!! I would not stay there again, nor would I recommend it to anyone else. It may have been great in the past but it was so bad that I checked out three days early and ate the cost.!! FALSE ADVERTISING. I had booked a King Executive Suite. When I arrived I had a small dark, dingy room. The suite part had a small love seat and mini desk. It was on the first floor in a corner. I was going to be there for a week working from the "suite". As it was on the first floor I could not open the front shutter as the walkway was outside, nor could I open the back shutters as it was overlooking the parking lot. Thus there was no privacy. SERVICE I went to the hotel and showed them the picture of the room I ordered and pointed out that it did not match the room that I had. She stated that they were not responsible for the pictures representing the hotel. I then asked if I could see other rooms and was told that only managers could show other rooms and that I could call back the next day in the morning. She said that there was another one on the third floor but the elevator was broken (it remained so for the remainder of my stay). She stated that they were remolding and that the mangers offices were being done first so they were all at other proprieties. I called the next morning and was told that all managers were at an all-day meeting off site. ROOM SERVICES. I sated that there were two people in our room but we only received towels, toiletries, cups, coffe/tea for 1 person. Each day my roommate had to go to the front desk to ask for another set of towels, cups etc. The second day I had a zoom meeting at 3:00 p.m. When I left the hotel at 8:30 a.m. I asked if the room would be ready as I had a 3:00 P.M. meeting. I returned at 11:00 a.m. and asked if the room would be cleaned by 3:00 p.m. I was told that housekeeping had a schedule of when they cleaned each room and she didn't know when my room was scheduled to be cleaned and 'that mine wasn't the only room being cleaned that day so they went by their schedule". At 3:00 p.m., they had not yet cleaned the room so I completed my call and had no service that day. BREAKFAST. They advertised "breakfast included". It was, at best, store bought pastries, sliced melon, hard boiled eggs. I expect that kind of food if they advertise continental breakfasts but when they advertise breakfast I have a bigger picture of what the choices would be. I spoke with friends who used to work there years ago and they spoke quite highly of the breakfast. ENOUGH. By the third day I had had enough of bad service, excuses about why something couldn't be taken care of, that there was no one that could do anything because supervisors weren't available (all day meeting), they weren't responsible for what was out of order, and housecleaning had schedules. I checked out with 3 days left on my stay. I am sure that I won't be refunded, but continuing to stay at such a horrible hotel was untenable. I would not recommend this at anytime to anyone.!!! read more

Love, love, LOVE this hotel and the staff. It was our second stay here and everything was lovely. We like staying on the first floor near the hot tub and were able to get the room we preferred. They follow COVID regulations and I felt safe with how everything was handled. Our first stay was during the fires in August and the staff handled that amazingly. There was nothing but love and understanding as some were experiencing the worst days of their lives. We decided to have a night out for our 5 year anniversary and wanted to stay here as we love the king suites and the location of this hotel. We were greeted by staff who remembered us from August! We were also treated with a nice little surprise celebrating our anniversary from the hotel. We are looking forward to our next stay! read more

Too much unnecessary stress & noise. Considered quite a few hotels before choosing this for a relaxing evening, after a very long driving. Even thought of staying here last year. They have allot of great reviews, nice perks, larger rooms & online photos look nice. I requested a quiet room but immediately ended up in a room with a lot of loud kids above us yelling and pounding on the door. We'd just seen all six and parents being loud in the hot tub. 6 kids under 12 so we went back for a room change, but it was next door to their friends. This was also when we realized the hotel is all exterior corridors that face the pool area. If it was this noisy in Nov, I wouldn't want to risk it in the summer. It was nice to find the hotel has happy hour 5-6 pm with wine & snacks. Disappointing to find the six kids and parents had taken over happy hour. Kids eating all the snacks, often with their hands. The mom is how they learned to eat the community snacks without tongs. After watching several times, I complained to the front desk because it was so frustrating and unsanitary. He only apologized and offered to give me snacks to go! By the end of happy hour, kids were running around with smaller kids on their shoulders. No one from mgmt was going to speak up and the parents didn't care. We weren't the only guests frustrated. We enjoyed take out in our room, which has a separate sitting room. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. We were very thankful it was quiet considering part of the large party was next door. The hotel is right next to the fwy, which I didn't realize. Also adjacent to a shopping center with a grocery store. In the morning we went down for their nice breakfast. There's scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes and continental breakfast. Again there were the 6 kids and 5-6 adults. We overheard they were staying another night and we were so thankful to be leaving. In spite of the perks, we don't need that much noise or stress where mgmt thinks it's best to look the other way. read more

Last night after being exhausted decided to book Cupertino Hotel from HotelTonight. We get to the front door and it was late. Finally someone answered and from the minute we got she was agitated and yelling. I had a confirmed booking and I asked her if she would honor and she said no. She was yelling about how they only had VIP guests staying and they couldn't have people like us. I have no idea what that statement means (I'm Indian) but it felt racially motivated. We were forced to turn away but the hotel STILL charged us for a room. Horrible service, I strongly recommend not staying there. read more

I stayed at your hotel last night and my sheets were not washed from the previous guest. There was a crusty bloody booger on the pillow cover. I discovered it while I was laying on it. Clearly showing the sheets had just been refolded after the previous guests did god knows what in the room. Extremely unsanitary and unsettling. read more

This is the first hotel I ever stayed in when visiting Cupertino some 15+ years ago. I finally stayed here again during my last trip to Cupertino. They are in the midst of changing the name from "Cupertino Inn" to "Cupertino Hotel." Personally - I like the name Cupertino Inn better. Sounds more homey. The elevator lobby's and some other areas of the hotel feel a bit worn and dated. The pool area looks really cool at night. Looks like they have some blue LEDs or something illuminating the pools. I stayed two nights. Room was clean and comfortable. The bed was firm and did not kill my back. The Wifi was fast enough to get my work done. Room included a mini-fridge - which was good. They offer breakfast down on the main level out by the pool. I did not get a chance to check out breakfast. Staff was friendly and efficient. read more

Didn't look like the pictures at all. I got here at night and the walls of the outdoor walkway (most rooms must be accessed by walking outside, which is a weird design) were lined with cold blue-light LED's that gave the whole place a clinical feel. They also weren't very bright and left shadows everywhere. It honestly felt like a Halloween haunted house. Front desk lady also seemed super tired and sounded a bit depressed, quite frankly. I have stayed at the Cupertino Inn numerous times for business. The staff has always been nice and the rooms have always been clean. This is not a fancy hotel but not bad for business or family stays. They have free wifi (connection is not always great), free breakfast buffet (not bad) and free drinks in the evening (always nice). Overall this is a good place to stay in the Cupertino area. They have also recently renovated their rooms, it is a huge improvement. read more

I loved this hotel, staff was very nice, great amenities and the room was very nice. I was a bit worried after reading the reviews, but decided to book anyway and happy that I did. Check in was easy and complimented with a glass of champagne! The room was very spacious and very clean. The hotel was gracious enough to add a personal touch by leaving a fruit tray on the desk, along with breakfast vouchers, Complimentary welcome drink voucher , hotel information and the weather for our stay! Happy hour from 5-6 pm. Bartender was amazing! she was delightful and attentive. Breakfast was very tasty, I love the different options and the omelet bar. My sons and I do staycations here and we did one again for New Year's Eve they are 10 and 12 and they love it, I should say we love it. The pool is always heated and open as well as the Jacuzzi. They have breakfast in the morning the rooms are clean nice. They give you a parking pass, and I called ahead of time to see if they were microwaves in the rooms and they said no but they would put one in my room so I had it before I checked in... You can't beat that. This is probably the best hotel I've stayed at in the Southbay. It's become our home hotel in our home city for cool little staycations. read more

This place has an "olden days" charm​ without being dusty. The rooms are super clean, the beds are comfy, the breakfast buffet with fresh omelet​ station is really great (so many options to chose from, and there is always fresh fruit and juices), the employees are all very friendly and the pool + hot tub is a great addition! I love about this place that the staff is very attentive, that they have a courtesy​ car and that the courtyard is full of living plants and colorful lights at night. A/C works just fine, you can open the windows and there is enough room to store all your things without falling over them all the time. The honor bar in your room is a nice touch as well. Location wise it's next to the highway and a strip mall with everything you might need on a trip (restaurants, a safeway, ...). So all in all, I am a fan and can recommend this place. read more

I enjoyed this hotel! I was travelling for business, so I can't speak to price, but from what I saw it was around $200 a night during my stay in early May. The outside seems a bit outdated, and I think this hotel has been here for a while, but the inside looks recently renovated and pretty nice! The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and have pretty much just what you'd expect. The beds are comfortable, but the WiFi is a bit slow. They have complimentary breakfast in the morning starting at 6:30. It has a decent selection of fruit, cereals, baked goods, and two hot entrees, which, during my stay, cycled through sausage and potatoes, biscuits and gravy, and pancakes and sausage. They also have an omelette station, which is really yummy, but the people making them really take their sweet time, so if you're in a rush, I'd probably skip that station. They don't have a gym, but you can go to the YMCA down the street and show your hotel card, which supposedly gives you access. It's interesting, but it is a bit inconvenient. Also, they have happy hour everyday from like 5-6, with some complimentary drinks and hor d'oeuvres. I didn't get to try, but I guess it's a pretty cool idea. Overall, this hotel seems to attract a lot of business people or people travelling for tech companies (Apple's old HQ is right down the street). For that case, I'd say it's pretty good: simple, straightforward, and a polite staff make it really easy for people to just go about their business. read more

We just came home today from a one night stay. Our stay was perfect. No complaints. It was a weekday stay so it was super quiet and it felt like only a handful of people were there during our stay. The room was very nice, up to date, bed was comfy, they had one firm pillow which was amazing to me! (Hotels usually have flat ones), a nice robe to wear, and the room had AC and a heater which worked perfectly fine. Wish we remembered our swimsuits cause the pool looked very inviting! Everything was very clean. Location is right near the freeway and in a good area for food and other things you may need! Breakfast was awesome! Got a free drink at the bar (beer or wine only). If I had to be "knit picky" about anything, I'd say the tv channels didn't all have great service, sometimes would go in and out but we weren't there to watch tv, just needed the tv to fall asleep to. I'm sure prices change all the time but for the price I just paid this is a great deal. It's a Saturday night and paid $170. There is a nice little lounge area separate from the boudoir as well as a little kitchen area... I don't know, I just feel like it's a great deal. We came to Santa Cruz for the weekend and stayed last night in the most ghetto tweaker hotel with a bed and nothing else and a shitty bed at that and paid the same price. Not to mention the attitude I was given by the front desk lady and I was probably one of the best kept people staying there, at the Cupertino I'm probably the worst and they treated me like royalty. Ya it's 25 miles away from the area we are visiting but that's a small price to pay, the hotel last night was 15 miles away and not worth it at all. Listen, I've been down in the dumps okay, I've stayed in hotels on skid row and the Valley Inn in Watsonville made them look like the fucking Algonquin in NYC. Stay away from there and come to The Cupertino, well worth it. The Cupertino is pet friendly y'all, we had to sneak our perfectly behaved pup into the Valley Inn. No bueno read more
