This place is a genuine mystery waiting to be solved: you're always trying to figure out where the flavor has gone and how it costs so much to be disappointed. Poor quality food and ridiculously overpriced considering the cheap ingredients they use and the very small serving sizes. I made the mistake of giving Curbside another try today and regretted it instantly. I've tried the burgers, all tiny, bland and lacking the flavors their menu promises. Nothing about the burgers suggests any justification for the $12 price tag. The tocino (according to my Philippino friends) is not real tocino, and a bad excuse for it, so don't bother with the $9 Sidewalk fries. The serving size and quality are not worth even half that cost. Today I tried the chicken sandwich, which I remembered as the least objectionable choices on the menu. Not today. If you want a good fried chicken sandwich, go to Bakesale Betty in Oakland, you'll spend less for a way bigger and way better sandwich. Eating the chicken closely resembled what I'd imagine chewing old rubber to be like, and it had no taste to boot. It was so chewy and hard I couldn't bite through it, tearing at it like a wild animal to get the first bite off, before the whole piece of chicken slid completely out of the breading, like that magic trick of pulling the tablecloth off the table while everything else stays in place. The buns disintegrate with even minimal sauces and toppings; the sandwich completely falls apart in a soggy mess the moment you pick it up as the bun just shreds to pieces simply by holding it. You will have the same problem with the burgers too. Oh and "Mom's Lumpia" is just frozen crap from Costco, and no bigger (in length and thickness) than your finger. Let's just say I will never bother with this place ever again. Total waste of money. read more

Excited to have food next to the brewery for a Sunday afternoon treat. We got the chicken sandwich and the fries. The chicken sandwich was ok. The breading was bigger than the chicken itself so there were a lot of air pockets where the bite was just breading and bun. Halfway through, the rest of the chicken came out of the breading so I ate that and tossed the rest. The chicken didn't have much flavor and I ate some of the breading by itself which also had some work to be done on the flavor. The fries however, the aioli that comes drizzled on top has this wonderful citrus flare to it and the fries perfectly seasoned and cooked with a crisp texture. read more

I would encourage everyone to come out to check out Curbside Kitchen, as well as the other food trucks and the live band here! I ordered the $14 burger, and I can easily state that it was well worth the money. It was filling and delicious, and it had a nice Filipino twist to it. Filipino fusion? Wow! This is going to be amazing! Well it turns out not so much. Looking at the menu they have 4-5 options and most are reasonably priced around 6-8$. I ended up ordering the adobo sandwich and some lumpia. How can you go wrong with traditional favorites right? Got the lumpia and the pork tasted very commercial, it had a deep off putting taste kinda like when you eat preformed frozen beef patties. Adobo sandwich was just ok.. the pork tasted like salt and pepper shredded pork. It didn't have those deep soy/ vinegar notes your typically get with adobo. Overall the food was decent. Curbside kitchen came to my workplace for food truck friday. I was pretty excited to try their burgers especially their curbside burger with tosino on the burger. I also tried their lumpia as well. Unfortunately the burger was a disappointment. I took three bites and I was done... Lost my appetite. The burger was under-seasoned and cooked medium rare. Oh m geeee...can I start of by saying these guys are amazing. So I have been trying to come here for at least a month now. Initially I wanted to catch them at off the grid in el Cerrito but I could not so I messaged them. Got a reply instantly telling me the schedule and how to follow them. So my schedule and theirs did not work out...but today I was able to catch them in richmond. He actually remembered my name so it was an awwww moment . Anyways so I tried the curbside chicken which has the cassava breading ...did not expect that deliciousness. It's just amazing. I almost missed them coz I went to the wrong side of parking lot ...bit i was meant to try out thr food today yum yum yum. Two brothers taking care of their business and you both are just awesome.. I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet. Now, food is subjective, but Curbside Kitchen is the best. I've been to Armistice Brewery once, and I enjoyed it. But once I tried Curbside, I was hooked. I go at least once a week, if not three times. If I had the time and inclination, I'd order a beer and enjoy Curbside there, but most days, I get it to go. For me, Curbside is the destination. The staff are super efficient and friendly (pretty sure they recognize me on sight), and the food--amazing. I started with the Curbside Burger and was resolutely loyal to it for a good long while. Then I branched out to the Curbside Mushroom Melt. And the Side Salad!!! Don't be fooled. With most places, the side salad is an afterthought. This salad has fresh arugula, sliced tomato, pickled vegetables, bean sprouts, and the tangy dressing is WOW. Now, the Filipino bacon on the burger is not like regular "American" bacon, and with many items you must like pickled vegetables (I love them). A couple of weeks ago, I finally landed on the "Special" -- Street Tacos. I just had them tonight (again for probably the third time in the past two weeks). Magical. You guys rock! read more

Curbside Kitchen is a pretty good food truck. While our cafeteria was being renovated, Curbside Kitchen was one of the food trucks that frequently stopped by. They turned out to be one of my faves. Their focus is on foods with Filipino flavors. Their offerings include: the Curbside burger, Curb Banh mi sandwich, Curbside chicken sandwich, lumpia, street tacos, regular fries, and sidewalk fries, The customer service is excellent - the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The food is a bit pricy though - I ordered a burger and fries and a drink for lunch.. ended up being almost $20! The curbside burger is delicious - they use a soy sauce and garlic marinade on the burger, so it is pretty flavorful. The burger is topped with tocino (bacon!) and a delicious aioli. I always intend to try something different whenever I visit their food truck, but I always end up with my tried and true curbside burger! Highly recommend! read more

It has the most interesting combinations of flavors...as they say on their website: an Angus beef patty blanketed with tocino (Filipino bacon), melted Monterrey Jack cheese and marinated onions, on a bed of arugula, achara slaw (carrots and daikon), sliced tomato, and specialty house aioli, served on a toasted bun.
