I've only been to Natoma Cabana during First Thursdays, and it's always a really lively spot during the event. The space has a fun indoor-outdoor party vibe with string lights, a big bar area, and a lot of people moving through throughout the night. Because it gets very crowded during First Thursdays, the energy feels more like a social event than a typical bar night. It's a good place to stop by if you're already out in the area and want somewhere with music and a busy atmosphere. The photo here was taken from their little loft area, which is actually really cute and a great spot for people watching since you can see the whole bar and crowd from above. One thing I wasn't sure about was the plastic cups. Every time I've gone they've served drinks in plastic cups, but since it's so busy during First Thursdays, I'm not sure if that's their normal setup or just something they do to keep things moving during the event. I ordered a rosé, which was perfectly fine and easy to drink while walking around. read more

I stopped by for cocktails here, and it was such a cute place and we tried the Ozzy and the Sayulita and both were very good. The bartender was super friendly and helpful and service was relatively quick. They have a cute cabana seat we relaxed in while chatting, so definitely a cute spot to hangout with friends or a date. read more

I love bars like Natoma Cabana, ambience is Jungle-tropical-ese and music was sort of EDM which was a weird mix but the drinks were solid and that's all I really care about. It's a good spot to come after work with your co-workers and there's a loft upstairs if you need to take a breather from the business of the bar downstairs. Service was quick but maybe that's because we got there right before the crowd. There's also plenty of seating for your whole crew if you're rolling deep. read more

Date of Visit: 11/15/2025 We visited the Natoma Cabana located near Salesforce Park in San Francisco. We passed by on weekdays evening and it was packed with people. This time we visited around noon time on a Thursday early afternoon and we were the only guests. Old Fashioned $15 Husband ordered the old fashioned with whiskey on a rock, and on top there were orange peel and cherry. Fredos Banana Daiquiri $15 I got the banana daiquiri with Navy Rum banana and lime simple. It was decorated with a fresh cut of lime and dried banana. read more

My group stopped here on a Friday night for happy hour before our dinner resy in the area. We got here around 6pm, and there were several groups inside. We went up to the bar and ordered directly. We got an espresso martini, queens bikini, and a daiquiri. I honestly loved my queens bikini- it felt strong but still flavorful and not too overpoweringly alcohol. We found a comfy seat and felt we could relax. Music was on, and there were many decorations in the space. The bartender was efficient and we have no complaints on that front. 4.5 STARS This space holds a special place in my heart because I had my very first HH with coworkers with my very first big girl paycheck. And, then it turned into one of the weekend party spots where I didn't have to act proper. Lol! Pass forward 10+ years, the old John Colins space is now Natoma Cabana and I returned for the first time last year. While it's a different name and different owner, the vibe is still vibing esp if you're looking for a HH with a more professional crowd. Except on First Thursdays (huge block party) when it's a totally different vibe and crowd. If you wanna go wild, spill onto 2nd street, and dance to headliners....the first Thursdays of the month is the time to visit. I didn't realize how popular First Thursdays was, so it was overkill for this geriatric millennial. Will def avoid the first thursday of the month going forward so I can romance the bottle in a little more peace! O T H E R I N F O: * Natoma Cabana is next to the Salesforce Tower. * No HH specials. * Good selection of alkie - yay for having Fortaleza on deck! * Friendly bartenders. * Chill vibe (not on First Thursdays) with exposed brick walls, wooden beams, and plants. I'd give the guy at the door -10 if I could. First Thursday and having a great night. It's 7:30 pm and have been to Natoma many times. I live two blocks away. Never again and everyone I know I'll tell them to stay away. With my wristband on I tried to go in and he requested my ID after letting 4 people in just before me with just their wristbands. Mind you I'm 65 and look it. I asked another security guard in the back and he said they only ask for wristbands, no ID's. Never again and guess what Natoma? I'll make sure all my friends from Rincon Hill know about my experience. read more

A short review for a short and pleasant experience. This is an incredible spot for a well-made cocktail in a gorgeous ambiance. The area seems to have many divey bars that are a bit dark and dingy. Natoma Cabana is a far cry from all of that. The space is open and well-lit with gorgeous hanging string lights, lots of lush greenery and there's even a disco ball on the ceiling. For good vibes and a good drink you absolutely cannot go wrong. read more

Mid day pick me ups call for espresso martinis! After exploring a little bit and lunch it was time for a pick me up and we came across this bar that was close to sales force park and decided to give it a try. You walked into a tropical vibe with lots of comfy seating and a large bar. It also looked like there was an upstairs area as well but didn't explore up there. My friend and I ordered some espresso martinis which turned into a couple rounds of espresso martinis but they were super tasty with the perfect amount of froth and not too sweet. I never understood why a cavernous lounge with echo-reverberating acoustics needs to play cacophonous urban music really loud in the middle of the afternoon. Is that the old geezer in me waiting for Enya to come over the speakers? Perhaps but I do remember an earlier iteration of this bar (John Colins) feeling more mellow and chill than when I visited recently with Jamie W. It's certainly a convenient spot at the western end of the Salesforce Rooftop Garden and now in the midst of Downtown First Thursdays. We came during a mildly bustling time when the only seating left were the stumps and wooden banquettes up on the mezzanine level. Their signature cocktails were $14. Jamie had the Mr Brown, a puckery sour libation with navy rum, lime, grapefruit, honey, and absinthe, while I went with the Tropical Bayou, more of a tiki drink derivative with mezcal, pineapple, lime, cane salt, and spices (photo: https://yelp.to/ws91XEX8oQ). They were OK but frankly not quite enough to offset, dare I say it, the noise. FUN! Stopped in on a Monday afternoon with some coworkers, it was a little sleepy but it was 2pm on a Monday. A super cute and fun interior with patio seating, really bringing the cabana vibes indoors. The ceiling is similar to that of a greenhouse, bright, and keeping us warm. The bar is toward the back and has a full assortment of beer, wine, seltzers and concoctions to make specialty cocktails. There is an upper level as well for additional or private seating. A cool bar, tucked away, but big for larger parties. read more

Such a cute bar! Definitely a place people come to pregame before heading out or hang out with your partner or friends. The bartender was cool, really nice to talk to. They were also playing a movie on the big screen when we arrived and my bf was super into it lol. The set up is for sure a cabana interior.. super comfy. Sandy peach: the drinks are definitely on the stronger side but still sweet. This drink was pretty good and you can absolutely taste the ginger but with a hint of peach. Queens bikini: I thought this drink was a little sweeter than the sandy beach, but can still taste the alcohol. I liked them both but I felt this drink went down a little smoother. TL;DR: generally easy to get a seat and a nice cocktail, they have some interesting options. Nothing really stands out however, which is a pity. I've been here twice, once on a weekday evening when it was crazy and loud and really crowded, and again on a Friday late afternoon/evening when it was pretty peaceful but got a little busy as the evening came along. Regardless, service was pretty friendly and efficient. The crowd seems to mainly be people who work in the area, or people who show up for first Thursdays (when I've walked by, it's crazy). The bar is in this cool warehouse kind of structure right next to Salesforce Park which is convenient to many who work in the area. It's also kind of nice inside, with cozy seats, and a big bar area. They even have a second floor but it's very tiny. Bathrooms were very clean when I was there on a Friday. The cocktail options are pretty interesting and not over priced for the area. However, while they are quite tasty, they kind of lack the complexity and oomph of a really great cocktail but is something I'm happy to indulge in for a casual evening. While there's nothing to complain about, there's nothing that really stands out either. It's a decent spot for after work drinks. read more

One of the things I really appreciate about this place is how sharp the team is--every bartender is consistently on point. You can tell they take pride in what they do, and it shows. Recently came here for a friend's birthday where they rented out the entire venue. The drinks here are solid and the staff is super friendly. The vibe is somewhat small inside but still a great time. The location is a bit hidden and parking is not the greatest, so I'd definitely recommend ride-sharing. Definitely recommend if you are looking to host an intimate birthday party or just want a spot to grab a drink if you are in the area! read more

Natoma Cabana was a lovely place to have after-work happy hour drinks with co-workers. To be clear: THERE IS NO HAPPY HOUR MENU, so don't expect any discounted drinks. The atmosphere was incredible, the bar was covered in vegetation and plants, beautifully designed with great seating and very creative and convenient ways to put down your drink (which I really appreciate!). My friends and I each got a different glass of wine, which was very solid, but far from incredible. I would definitely come here for the atmosphere and possibly for the cocktails, which I'd love to come back to try. It is however, hard to buy multiple drinks at a place that doesn't have any deal for their happy hour. read more

How did I not know a bar like this existed? I want to so badly gatekeep this place but it's just too good not to give it's flowers. I don't know if I went on a good night or what but I was really feelin this place. The DJ was playing 90s/2000s hits, the volume of the music was bearable, drinks were great, crowd was mellow, clean, and ample seating area. Gave me 2013-2017 SF vibes, the kind I felt going out in my 20s. Considering it's right under salesforce I was anticipating ummm... a different kind of crowd. Natoma Cabana is a great venue for meeting up with friends for drinks or for hosting events. There's plenty of seating between the cushioned seats under the plants near the entrance, the bar seating, or the loft area in the back, and the bartenders are always friendly and pour great cocktails. I've been here a few times for events and because of the different sections of the bar, despite not being very big, it makes for a great and versatile space. read more

Grabbed a few drinks here during the weekday and was able to snag a seat at the bar. It was pretty busy with folks coming after work but they came and went pretty quickly. They have a great selection of various liquors and fun cocktails as well. They're also dog friendly so you can bring them inside! We came here after dinner to continue the celebration of my friends' engagement on a Saturday night. This bar is super cute and had nice decorations. A gal in the group had reserved upstairs, which was nice because it was semi-private for the group to celebrate and talk. Granted, it was slightly hot there since heat travels up and there was a good number of us, but still a very nice spot to drink with the group which was about 30 people. The bartenders were super friendly, drinks were good, and the DJ was great. I can't think of a better place than Natoma Cabana to celebrate something, especially for our group size. read more

Celebrated one of friend's birthdays. Love the atmosphere and decor of plants surrounding the bar. The bar was quite small but it was enjoyable. The location was hard to find because it was hidden in an alley but the parking was easy to locate. As for parking, I had to pay $30 for 10 hrs. In which, it wasn't too bad, especially in SF. The food, I didn't really try because my friend had a different vendor to cater her party. The service was hard because there were only 3 bartenders for a party of 80 people. This place it's so horrible but not a good idea for a big party because the space is limited. read more

Really great spot hidden away in fidi, not the kind of place I would think is in this area. The music they had on while we were there was awesome and the overall ambiance inside too. Their drinks are definitely strong so pave yourself. I really liked the margarita I had from here it had a spicy kick to it that was unexpected. What was also cool about this place was that they had a huge movie screen projector on the back wall. read more

Chill bar that is open late until midnight in the FiDi area and has a great deal for beer & shot for $12. The servers are friendly and attentive. Plenty of seating inside with a second floor, likely good for groups. Interested in trying their cocktails at another time! read more

Lore's Wonderland escape room was a fun and delightfully whimsical experience. **This review is…read moremainly for the escape room, as we did not order any additional drinks outside of the escape room.** THE SPACE // Lore Speakeasy and Escape Room has cool themed decor everywhere, from the dimly-lit speakeasy/bar room in front, to the Middle Earth/Lord of the Rings-themed board game room, to the individual bathrooms, and of course the escape room's multiple Alice in Wonderland-themed rooms. Clearly a lot of effort went into building these rooms and evoking a certain vibe for each. THE ESCAPE ROOM // The puzzles in the escape room varied in difficulty - some required us to think a bit more, some required our observational skills to work harder, and others required a light level of physical skill/movement. We were perplexed a few times but never got stuck for too long, as the White Rabbit (played by Phoenix, the live actor/puzzle master) would jump in occasionally to provide clues over the speaker or in person. It took us about 1 hr 20 min to finish the entire escape room; I thought the pacing was good. THE [ESCAPE ROOM] DRINKS // Lore's escape room experience comes with "a flight of themed cocktails or mocktails, including "potion"-style drinks that are integrated into the experience as you progress", per the website. We got to choose one cocktail/mocktail option (Korean Cold Noodles) from a list on the website, and the other two drinks are pre-selected to supposedly fit into the Wonderland theme, with the flavors described online as "berry" and "peach". You can get both cocktail and mocktails for your party, in case some people want alcohol and others don't. We all enjoyed the flavor of the Korean Cold Noodles cocktail, which was refreshing and surprisingly a bit minty in the mocktail version. However, we didn't like the two other two pre-selected themed drinks as much. The "berry" drink gave us cherry cough syrup vibes, and the cocktail version of it was quite strong. The "peach" mocktail drink reminded me of canned fruit syrup; we also were missing the two cocktail versions, though we decided not to ask for them as the mocktail version already was less than impressive. One other missed expectation here was the size of the drinks that we received in the escape room. We were expecting full-sized cocktails, like what they serve in the speakeasy in front. Instead, we found out that the drinks are served in small "vials". Given the size of the drinks in the escape room, combined with us not even enjoying two out of the three drinks, I would preferred to go through the escape room without the drinks at all, and likely pay a bit less for the escape room then. OVERALL // I'd still recommend the escape room as a good one-time experience with a date/friends/family. Just don't expect too much from the included themed drinks! The speakeasy drinks on the main menu do sound unique/tasty, so I might come back again to try those sometime.

However, the server very kindly removed it from our bill without us asking. We order the crostini because we were still hungry and that was an absolute hit. Delicious med-soft crostini with luscious berries and sweet honey. I didn't care my hands got sticky as it was soooo good! This is the second place on this visit that's charging an extra 5% fee so that their employees can have a living wage and health insurance, which absolutely, every employee should have. With the prices they charge, they should already be able to do that, though. I read an article about this fee with many different names and I would rather pay a bit higher of a price and know the employees were taken care of than be surprised by this fee later. Two sandwich breakfasts, a mocha and a danish on top of tax and their healthy sf fee was $63. Steep for the quality we got. Won't be back.

Service: We had an excellent service, Ivan, was there to help our guests with drinks and they arrived, and he was very accommodating to non-alcoholic guests.
