One of the better Indian buffet spots in the SD extended area. Little far from SD but worth the drive for sure. Has veg and meat options. Good variety of appetizers, sweets and curries. Naan/roti is served hot to table as needed. Highly recommend the place. read more

We ate at Curry Craft for the first time tonight, and I have to say--it was hands down the best Indian food I've had in San Diego! Every dish was full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The customer service was just as impressive. Everyone was so kind, welcoming, and attentive, which means a lot when dining out with a 15-month-old. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and even offered free dosas to try, which was such a nice touch. It's also a great place to try if you're new to Indian food because they offer a buffet along with their full menu!! Curry Craft has definitely earned a spot as one of our new favorite places to eat. I tried a little of everything (chicken curry, Khmer, chicken Tikka Masala, garlic naan, butter chicken, vegetable samosa, the Mango Lassi, etc). The food is delicious! The service is good. Ambience is casual. I was super full. I don't do a lot of buffet places because I get full fast. I am not sure if you can order entrees instead of just the buffet?? My siblings and I decided to try this place to celebrate our birthdays. We live closer to the other location across from San Marcos High School but upon reading the reviews, a couple of people recommended going to this location instead because it was better. This place is located in the eastern part of the strip mall where there's a Walmart & Kohl's. Ample parking for all the food eateries & shops. We arrived at 11:30am and decided to try the lunch buffet. It wasn't busy at all the entire time we were there. A couple girls were serving. The restaurant is clean and quiet. The buffet had a good variety of curries. There were flat breads and rice. Rice pudding & orange slices for dessert. And mango lassi which was delicious. Although the dishes were delicious (we sampled all of them), most of them were all spicy. And my poor sister who loves Indian food, couldn't eat a lot because she couldn't tolerate it. She usually orders a 1 for spice level and it was more than that. It was surprising that these dishes- especially in a buffet wouldn't accommodate all customers. We came in and were attended to right away. We ordered the chicken tikka masala, lentil soup, garlic naan bread and samosas. Everything was so delicious!! My gf doesn't like spice and I do, so we didn't get any but I added some chili on the side which made it just to my liking. Fair prices and good food, what more can you ask for? They also had a good environment and played what I can only describe as like Indian hip-hop‍. I liked it so much I did a Google song search to add it to my Spotify playlist. Went here on my way to Costco never had Indian food before. But I'm so happy I stopped here. The service was top notch the woman working the counter was extremely friendly and attentive it was busy and she was by herself so props to her for dealing with all the pressure and still providing excellent service. It's really cheap for what you get I would expect to pay more for the service, the taste, and the quantity not complaining lol. She really makes you feel at home. The food was absolutely delicious props to the chefs. They have this drink that tastes like a mango smoothie not sure what it was but it was delicious. Everything was hot and fresh. Curry Craft Nordal is fantastic! I visited their other location and loved it, but this one off Nordal may be the better one. We came during the buffet hours 11am-3pm and enjoyed the nice ambiance. The lady at the front was nice and attentive. The variety of curries and masalas they offer is impressive, and each one was delicious. A solid 4.5 stars! We stopped by right when they opened and the lunch buffet food was fresh and ready. They had about 3-4 vegetarian options and 3 meat options, samosas, vegetable eggrolls, along with fresh rice and flatbreads. There was also salad, chutney, a sweet rice dessert, and mango lassi. Everything was fresh and delicious! The server asked us if we preferred garlic or plain naan when we first sat down. She didn't mention that the naan was not included in the lunch buffet price, which is fine because we would have ordered it anyways, but it should definitely be mentioned in the future for other customers. The lunch buffet comes with flatbreads so you don't have to order naan if you don't want to. The naan was extremely fresh, hot, and lathered in butter and garlic. I am so happy to have an Indian Buffet that is operating again, and so close to me! I've been to Curry Craft twice now for the lunch buffet. I was excited to see that they have lamb in the buffet, which is hard to find! It is delicious, and so are a lot of the other options. Naan comes with it, and you can upgrade to garlic naan for $.99. I would love if they added some more salad ingredients to the buffet. A lettuce, and maybe carrot option to go with the cucumber and onion would be great. Make sure that you let them know that you're going to get another plate. My table was cleared this last time, because they assumed I was done. I lost out on the last of my naan, unfortunately, because they had tossed it. read more
