Curry Craft is our go to Indian Buffet. The quality of the food is always outstanding and consistent. This weekend they had special active food stations serving cheese, masala or chocolate dosas! The staff is always courteous and friendly. We drive all the way from PQ even though there are numerous Indian buffets in Rancho Bernardo and the Miramar area. The food was excellent, we ordered garlic naan, chicken curry, and saag paneer and it was all very delicious. The service was top notch, they were able to answer all of our questions, which can be a lot sometimes because of a nut allergy and we're super friendly but not hovering. The music is at a good level that you can talk to your group without overhearing much of others conversations but also not being deafened. I especially love the artwork and decoration, I commented on it and was told that the owner's wife did all of it, so definitely look at everything while you're here. 10/10 read more

My friend invited me to an Indian buffet in San Marcos for lunch. The food was great, and they had a wide variety of dishes for me to try. I've had Indian food before, but I don't remember much about it, so it was nice to see the names of the dishes displayed. Of course, I tried everything! The store was clean, the staff was very welcoming, and they had a lunch buffet for $17! I couldn't believe the value -- seriously, I asked the host if I had heard him right. Anyway, it was a no brainer. The food was fantastic (I especially liked the crispy garlic naan). The food here is good, it's the closest Indian food restaraunt near me when I have a craving for it. They hve a large variety of items to choose from, I usually order food to go, ordering is fast and easy and ready when I go to pick it up. Curry craft is located right outside of Walmart in San Marcos shopping center and easy to find. We like to order the chicken vindaloo and chicken korma, with a side of garlic naan bread and lamb samosas. We usually order our curry spicy hot, but the last couple of orders were not correct. The curry was bland and not spicy at all and one of our chicken orders was replaced with lamb, my reciept said chicken orders. Overall, we enjoy the food and will be back. read more

I decided to take my sister to lunch this past Monday 7/14/25. As we walked up to the restaurant, an overwhelming stench of human urine overpowered us. You know the smell... of downtown San Diego where the homeless use streets as bathrooms. It's unmistakable. I could barely walk in the door to tell them how putrid the smell was. I about faced and left as quickly as we arrived. This particular restaurant has a covered patio entryway. The tile floor was wet and puddled. Was it water or urine, can't say- but the whole experience put me off that I'll never go back. read more

This is an update to a review I did a few months ago. We visited this location today, 2/4/2024, and were greeted by the very lovely and friendly Sky. I'm happy to report the food is still Excellent !!! Had the Butter Chicken, Chicken curry and the Spinach Paneer. The Chicken curry and the paneer had a little kick to it (chill hot) but not overbearing...just the right amount and was complemented well with the Butter chicken. We had both the plain and garlic nanns, both were delicious and not to filling. They still provide "all you can drink", mango lassi which is as smooth as silk and not to sweat...Bravo & Thank You !!! The fresh salad was made with fresh veggies like, romaine lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, onions and green baby tomateos and complimented all the curries. I typically debone the tandoori chicken and use the curries to moisten this meat which tends to be dry and hard after baking in the serving trays. A special shout out and a BIG THANK YOU!!! to Sky for being very attentive and checking in on us to see if we needed anything providing us with fresh naans as we needed them. TallGirl, AdventurousAunt and I went for lunch the other day, I left happy and full! The short, if you like Indian cuisine. Go here! We chose to go during the time that the lunch buffet was served, because ... you can try a bunch of things and see how they are. When I walked in, I was rewarded with the scents of all of the flavors I was craving and no other restaurant was offering! I was sooo excited. The buffet offered my old favs, but, I really wanted the Manchurian Cauliflower. So, we ordered that off the menu. We were not disappointed!! TallGirl and I found we like our naan different. She likes hers a little more chewy, this offers one more crisp. I thought it was delightful and delicious as did AdventurousAunt! The service was quick, kind and professional. The buffet was well laid out, in a logical, progressive order, it was clean and all the right temperatures. I saw a good amount t of take out orders going out the door. Here's the deal tho, with take out, you miss out on that amazing scent of all of the flavors when you walk in the door. So, you do you boo, but I'll be dinning in. We sat inside, which has both booths and tables, they also have a nice outside patio. The regular menu is robust! Is is presented digitally. Stopped in to pick up the meal for 2 special: 1 entree, naan, 2 samosas, and a dessert for 30 dollars. I was skeptical that they would give decent portions but the portions ended up being great! Lots of bread, perfect sized entree (we got chicken tikka masala, they filled it up to the top), delicious big samosas. We're very happy with the food. Served 2 plus enough for leftovers. While I was waiting for my order, the front of house guy offered me some water and this is so random but the water was so crisp and smooth. I don't know why that stuck out to me so much, maybe I was just really thirsty but the water really did it for me. He was very nice and hospitable and made sure I was comfortable for the brief amount of time I was waiting for my meal. I haven't tried the buffet but I hope to soon. read more

Curry craft is the best, the staff is always helpful and the food is fresh and delicious. I love that this location is open as late as it is because it's not easy to find real, non fast food places to eat past 9. I stopped by quite late one night when my girlfriend was in the ER, I was waiting for her to get discharged, and had a lovely conversation with some of the staff while I waited for my food. Another time I stopped by and they gave us a couple extra dishes on the house. More than once I've come in to grab food and they've given me a free mango lassi. Seriously give them a try, they're my go to for Indian food. read more
