Just tried this for the first time and really wish now I hadn't waited so long! Beautiful restaurant inside. Staff was very gracious and eager to please. Answered all my questions about what to try. I usually just stick to buttered chicken or tikki or a kabob but tried the chicken madras and was not disappointed at all! Very fresh! Garlic naan was best I've ever had. Lamb vindaloo and mixed grill kebab and a bread basket to share. We also had a fish curry, Hakka noodles with shrimp, fish madras curry and chicken biryani. The plain Nan is better than the onion Nan. The mixed grill tandoori kebab is very enjoyable. Curry of the vindaloo lamb is great. read more

This restaurant is absolutely amazing! The best food, great portions and amazing service. My son wasn't a fan of the lamb dish because it was spicy and the owner went in the back to have them make him the same dish in chicken so he could taste the difference. Alright guys here we go. First , I love Indian food and have been eating it for years. Though I'd try this place out and although the food was tasty ( for the most part ) the portions were very slack. Also, it seems that the owners , or managers are really involved, like maybe a little to involved....... Other than that seems like a nice place just be prepared to order a good amount of food so you don't leave hungry and maybe the owners or managers can just relax and let the restaurant flow..... hope this helps the community read more

We got the veg appetizer platter (YUM!), the bread basket (Good), along with spinach cheese (paneer) and the mushroom misala. Also got a great lassi! Anyway, I wish them well! Good, authentic Indian food. Placed a to-go order the day after they opened (chicken tikka masala, chili chicken, aloo parantha, and a mango lassi) for my girlfriend and I to try. The chicken tikka masala was perfect - perfectly cooked chicken, fresh green pepper and onion, and the familiar warmth of a creamy tomato sauce. Its accompanying rice was good, although milder in flavor than I'm accustomed to. The aloo parantha was tasty and filling. The food was packaged very well, and the addition of cutlery and plates was thoughtful. The owner is very kind, warm, and welcoming, and conversed with me and another customer about his enthusiasm for the business' recent opening. We had the tandoori chicken, butter chicken and the tikki masala. All the food was amazing, and just had wonderful flavors. They started us off with a small appetizer, papadum with three different sauces to try, it was really tasty. The staff is super friendly and very attentive. Winchester finally has great Indian food! This place was amazing from the very start. My wife and I actually showed up 30 minutes early and unlike other restaurants they opened up for us, wow! Friendliest people I've ever met in Winchester. I've eaten Indian food all over the DMV, Manhattan and in England and this was some of the best I've ever had. Samosa chaat and vegetable korma for appetizers then on to palak paneer, aloo gobi and butter chicken. All the dishes looked perfect and tasted perfect. The desserts, kheer and rasmalai were also absolutely amazing. Every dish was cooked to perfection and the spices were just right. A wonderful and delicious discovery for us as we made our way south on I-81 back to our home in Roanoke. Stopped for diesel, and there was Curry Cuisine, so we decided to give it a try. Smart decision! The warm welcome, the friendly hospitality, and the attentive service were quite impressive. Authentic, well-prepared Indian cuisine, one of our absolute favorites, can be hard to find. This lovely place has it all. We luckily happened upon this wonderful restaurant as it was just a short walk across the parking lot from the Country Inn and Suites, where we were staying. We were warmly greeted and seated at one of their very clean and comfortable tables. The service was friendly and impeccable. Wish I could give it lower than a 1 Star. Ordered Fried Rice with a shrimp( extra 5 dollar charge ) and got this. Biggest scam ever. Never should have got this. Have had better experience with frozen shrimp fried rice. Awful. read more

Discovered this place about a month ago and then received a recommendation from my brother, who's Indian boss took him there for lunch. Finally had the opportunity today to visit, along with my brother, and WAS NOT disappointed! We arrived shortly after they opened and was greeted by the manager. Immediately was seated by the friendly staff. The restaurant is decorated beautifully, more like a high-end restaurant but with a casual feel. The lunch special is 19.99 and is WORTH EVERY PENNY! The amount of food you get is exceptional and the flavors are truly homemade and authentic. The owners take pride in their food, which is obvious when you taste it and speak to the staff. They even fixed up some food for my elderly mother who was anxious to try it but couldn't be with us that day. We were so grateful for their kindness. Will DEFINITELY be back and will be passing this place on to all my friends and colleagues. These hard-working people are producing legitimately authentic Indian food right in your own backyard. The menu is extensive and nothing disappoints. We had a simple sampling of Samosa chaat (wonderful), Desi Butter Chicken (more authentic then the Americanized version), garlic naan and raita. The owner sent over some pakora for us: simply the best ones I've ever had. Crispy, with a light and flavorful filling. Nothing tired or stale here. What a happy accident to come upon this unassuming Indian restaurant tied to a Shell station and 7-11. The food is amazing and so is the service. We had Malai Kofta, Desi Butter Chicken, Lamb kebabs,and Tandoor Paneer. We will visit as often as we can on trips up i-81. read more

I have always loved good Indian cuisine and Winchester has some very good Indian restaurants but nothing like this restaurant. They do not alter the natural spice content of the various dishes. Other Indian restaurants will alter the spices based on the customer's request of spice level by numbers from 1-10. The waiter will explain the natural spice content of each menu item. I oedered the Rogan Josh. The waiter said it was spicy, and it was. But just the level of spice that I like. The lamb was very tender. The garlic naan melts in your mouth. The service is excellent.
