This restaurant maintains its very authentic Pakistani roots. This restaurant is very much new on the block but it gives the area a pop of color with its rich design, and cultural influence. It's certainly takes it's stance as one of the most flavorful Indian restaurants in the Spring area with curries that will sweep you to Pakistan and Garlic Butter Naan that melts in your mouth. I would recommend their Vegetable curry. It's packed full of robust notes of Cardamon, turmeric, hints of nutmeg, and a soft heat of spiced peppers! Wow! Their vegetable samosas are amazing as well. You would need to arrive here early as they tend to run out after 12 and only make a certain amount each day. Their sauces are all handmade! Most servings of food provide about 3 meals. The staff is truly the best. They are extremely welcoming as soon as you walk through the door. There isn't a wait, or least wasn't during the time I went was at about 2pm. read more

Apparently black people are not welcomed in this establishment. I was not greeted when I walked in. I had to ask if I was going to be seated. When I was told I could sit anywhere no one came to greet me and ask if I needed water. The two guys in resturant just sat there and looked at me like I was crazy for coming in the resturant. This is the worst experience ever. Why open an establishment if you don't want black people there. When I walked out they did not try to stop me nor apologize for their actions. We've been to both locations and haven't found a single thing on the menu that isn't great. The vegan in our family has tons to choose from and the rest of us can't get enough of the biryani, hara bhara masala and chicken tikka masala! There's something for everyone. Clean restaurant, wonderful atmosphere. The staff are so kind and tentative. I've dined in and ordered take out and both experiences are wonderful. I came here while I was visiting my dad and he was fasting and ready to have eftar during Ramadan ... the owner was so kind and helped us meet the time exactly on the minute and the food was delicious. My favorite thing was the "yummy in my tummy" curry with shrimp. It was creamy and tangy and very savory, the chat was good too. I found the kebab spicy and delicious. My dad wa stuffed !! I'd love to come back here again next time to try more of their signature dishes with my family. Wow, l am really sad. I only write reviews if something was really good, or reallllly bad, unfortunately this was very bad, l am pregnant and had been craving Indian food, l usually eat Tarka (a chain restaurant) but thought this time l would try more of a family restaurant. I ordered a samosa chatt, which ended up being a cold samosa in a tub of watery weird tasting yogurt sauce it was absolutely horrible, l also has chicken tikka masala which was a ton of sauce with hardly any chicken and no flavor, with garlic naan which was oily and squishy. I am so disappointed and now my tummy kinda hurts, l don't like writing bad reviews, and am disappointed l spent $30(with tip) on lunch. I will never go back here and am a bit pissed and let down. Gonna leave a picture of the watery sauce my one cold samosa was in. Ruined my day, since as a pregnant lady food is one of the only things l get to enjoy and l am always cooking at home, thought a break would be a nice treat, ended up being a nightmare. I feel so sick and am hopeful it doesn't get worse. And you may be thinking l am sick because l am pregnant, no l don't get those kind of symptoms. Place was very clean, food and presentation was great even though it took a while to prepare. Friendly owner. The reason I gave it a 3 star was the bill. The experience thought us to always check the bill. We were not given a bill to check but just to sign on the tablet. My husband asked for a print out and we were perturbed by what should have cost us $25 came was a $80 bill. Apparently we were charged for the next diners food. We went in and thought everything was fixed and I checked again and saw that I was charged for an entree that was double what we ordered. Again we had to try and fix it and the tip. We finally left with what we hope was the final correct charge and no compensation for the inconveniences. read more

This family run (brother and sister) authentic PAKISTANI restaurant should be re-named. "Pakistani Grilled Meats" Since that is it's specialty. Goat chops tender and delicious. Try the Mixed grill sampler of ground meat kabobs. Including BEEF! Many chicken kabob choices. Chick pea flour battered fried veggies great appetizer to start. (Onion, eggplant and spinach fritters.) Saag Paneer made runny style with chunks of paneer cheese. just like Himalaya so I assume authentic Pakistani style. Not a fan. Mixed vegetable curry better choice very flavorful. Nothing too hot Chile spicy like Southern Indian food is. But beware tamarind chutney definitely is. Meats also served with yogurt/cilantro cooling chutney. Try the dehydrated cold milk pudding (saffron and cardamon) topped with pistachios for dessert. Naan a big disappointment (doughy. Not charred/browned enough for me) bland tasting. stick with basmati rice which is well made. Overly ambitious extensive menu. Not all items usually are available. Ask before getting your heart set on certain items and remain flexible. Excellent fresh fruit drinks. Both frozen slushees as well as classic yogurt lassis.
