Great food. But the restaurant is not very consistent with their OPEN/CLOSE TIMES. It is currently 6:45 (google and apple says it closes at 8:00pm) doors are closed. On the doors it says it closes at 7:00pm. So Make sure you call before going to get your food! read more

My friend and I have been discussing visiting this restaurant for awhile! So while in the Greenacres area we stopped in for lunch. It's located in a strip mall with signage that can easily be missed if you're unfamiliar with the location. Slow down as you approach so you don't miss it! We walked in and was really impressed with the decor inside. The store-front look throws you a bit on the outside but the inside is nice, cozy and perfect for just about any occasion. There's a television playing classic Island music (think Trinidadian/Guayanese). The food is cooked to order so keep that in mind if you are in a hurry. We were driving by but the next time, we'll probably call ahead first just to allow yourself enough time; especially if you're dining in. If you could believe it, it was this foodie's first time ordering Roti, doubles and the sort. With the help of my friend, I decided on doubles, and chicken eith. The drive back to the office was filled with the smell of the delicious food and we were not at all disappointed by the flavor or portion size. 39 weeks pregnant and I was catching up on the last season of New Amsterdam where Dr. Frome takes doubles for one of his patients. Omg! The craving hit me so bad. On doing a lot of research the closest restaurant that sells Doubles was 60 miles away. My thoughtful husband drove me here today and what a great find this turned out to be! Starting with Ashley, who is a gem! She was so nice and professional and extremely helpful. She made our experience a true delight. She is an asset to this restaurant. We started off with Doubles and the memories came flooding back. My craving was satisfied as they had one of the best doubles I have ever eaten. We continued our meal with curry goat, and curry shrimp with dhal Poori. Both the dishes were a perfect blend of flavors. Brenda is an amazing chef and we could taste the freshness in her cooking. So lets start by saying I was so excited to Learn that this place exists! We moved from NY a couple years ago and miss it cause of the diversity and good traditional food places. So my son was in the area so he stopped in for doubles. He bought five. By the time i came in from work i was left only one it smelled good. I opened up to check it and it look official! I tore off piece to put in my mouth when I spotted something that look like a string... So I open up and pull it out. What is it.... YES a long strand of hair!!! YUCK! Had to visit my favorite Indian/Trinidadian restaurant again. No seating is readily available inside of restaurant because of covid19. I always call before placing an order, so my food will be there when I arrive. I ordered a $9 lunch special which consist of: Stew chicken, Callaloo, Macaroni pie, rice and beans. I also ordered $2 Doubles with tamarind and pepper sauce on the side. The woman at the register was very friendly and professional at pick up. Food quality was amazing. Food was hot and fresh upon consumption. Very very flavorful dishes, it's very hard to find Caribbean places that cooks with flavor just like having it in the islands. 10/10 would recommend to anyone that wants to try Indo-Caribbean foods! read more

The lady over the phone was super nice and patient. Due to COVID you can't eat inside but you can order for pick up. The doubles are vegan and they were awesome with the spicy sauce. I also got the veggie platter and you typically can choose rice or roti but the roti is not vegan. You also get another side with the veggie, but since their sides change frequently, it's not on the menu but they will tell you, your options when you're ordering. The goat was not cooked down properly (TASTED LIKE RUBBER) and I never received the side order of the Chick Peas. I called the owner to express my concerns and all they can do is blame it all on Door Dash. I explained to her (THE OWNER) that DD did not prepare the food, she did. The owner was very rude and her excuse for the goat being like rubber is because its previously frozen. Love knowing West Palm has a Trinidadian mom and pop shop so you don't have to travel down to Broward for when you want a good doubles. The food is good and taste just like any other trinidadian restaurant. However, the place is very limited on seating as it is small. It does not feel very welcoming and the staff does need to improve on service and customer satisfaction. I know many people who come here and has had some issue with service, but you will rarely hear a complaint about the food! Don't forget to ask for special side toppings like hot pepper, tamarind, or the cucumber chutney as it does make the cherry on top of everything, but they will charge you extra which I find odd, as those things are basic trinidadian condiments, as pickles or honey mustard is to an American restaurant, or hot chili oil in a chinese restaurant which you don't normally get charged for. read more

I'm happy to say they delivered on both spice level and taste. It was flavorful, not too oily (as doubles can be sometimes), and DEFINITELY spicy. Best part: it cost $4.50 for everything :) while it wasn't lunch portion it's a great snack. The negatives though: tv was a tad too loud, and they charge more for more sauce which stinks if you want more sauce. The doubles are OUT OF THIS WORLD, the pumpkin is divine, the Kurma is delicious and you will only have amazing things to say if you have ANYTHING from here. The young ladies are beautiful and have sweet smiles and personalities to go with their mind blowingly good food. The music is always pumping and you can't help but move your body a little while you wait for your food. Well, I recently had doubles and aloopie at another restaurant in South Miami, Palmetto to be exact and it was just as amazing. I have an obsession with channa so I ordered veggie roti, separated and both roti channa and potatoes dish had a nice consistency and tenderness. The flavor was just the right amount with trini style curry and seasonings, I also ordered mouth watering doubles and had a sweet tamarind sauce and hot pepper sauce to die for with my order. I went and ordered some doubles. I decided to do a live video. The double was nasty and covered in oil. It was so oily you couldn't even taste the doubles. Today was my first time ordering food from here and it probably won't be my last. Thanks to my kid I wasn't able to cook this morning before work and it's also my fasting day (can't eat meat). Just everything about it was better even the kick of pepper. Channa was cooked with more love. The dhal with rice and veggies was satisfying. Really satisfying. I would order it again to be quite honest. I mean, it's not my momma's cooking but it's damn near close and it was SO good! I don't usually like pumpkin but for some reason I wanted it today and I wasn't disappointed. This spot truly exceeded my expectations. So, today we drove from Dania to Lakeworth to try a different type of Roti. But, upon arrival they were closed due to a late party from the night before. So, the owner came out and referred us to Curry Tabanca (as their friend). However, when we told the cashier (the white lady) that we were referred to her place of employment, she negatively commented that the food at the other place was "bad". I quickly interject and told her that was uncool for her to badmouth the same place that referred us to her establishment. I find it odd that the owners have someone who is so rude and negative to be their front of the house cashier (replace her). She is absolutely rude!!! We drove up there to visit the Island Roti, and had it not been for them we would have never made it to Curry Tabanca. My advise to the owner (s) Either train that woman or educate her on Caribbean values. Please do something about it. Great goat; love the aloo pie. If you've never had trini food; you'll love it if you like Island or Indian food; super flavor and yes pepper is spicy. I came to this business at 6:40, and was told that they stop serving the kitchen at 6:45 then the lady told me to go to the ATM, because it's cash only. The atm in the store was out of order. The lady then said place your order first so that when you get back your order will be ready. I waited for the customer in front of me to cash out. Right when I begin to say my order, she now says just go to the atm and come back don't bother to place order first. So I went to the ATM and came back in 7 minutes. When I came back the same lady told me that the kitchen is closed for the day and I can't get anything today. I came back after less than 10 minutes. This place is my go to place for roti. Once in a while I need my fix. I've had both the chicken and the shrimp curry. Both dishes are really good with fresh and hot roti to go with it. I've also had their Doubles which is a fried dough stuffed with a chick pea curry filling and a cucumber chutney which goes well with it. Their Bake N Shark is also really good too. It's a piece of fried flat bread with fried pieces of shark and a sort of coleslaw with different sauces on it. They also have an assortment of sweets that I haven't tried yet but look mighty tempting. The food at this restaurant will be some of the best Trinidadian food you have ever tasted. The restaurant itself looks clean and well maintained. The down side is the service. The person at the counter isn't the friendliest but if you ask queations about the food she's very informative with some prodding. Food takes a while to come out of the kitchen once you order. You are looking at a 15 to 20 minute wait. There is no one to actually wait tables. You eat your food and bus your own tables. read more
