Today, was my first time trying curry up now. I got a Chicken Tikka Masala burrito and Peri-Peri fries . I was not expecting it to be that big, that flavorful, and that spicy! I got it Desi because I love spice and Indian cuisine never fails to bring the spice. I also enjoyed the Peri-Peri fries as they had the right crisp and seasoning. First time here and it was really cute, clean and inviting inside. I arrived right when they open and had the lunch special for only $9.99. I had a burrito and fries! The fries had a tasty seasoning on them and the burrito was filled with flavor. I loved their blue berry soda...had to get a refill to take home. You usually don't think of fast casual Indian food but this place delivers. It's more California-Indian fusion and they don't claim to be authentic. We've been by a few times and either ordered ahead for pickup or ordered and ate in the restaurant. I think some places tame down the heat level for American palates but the burritos we've gotten have always been sneaky hot (we call it glow-y). Mango lassi and chai are okay but not outstanding. So upon entering this place around 1230p I was shocked at how dead it was. The person behind the counter who I guessed was the manager welcomed me. I told him I hadn't been here before and needed a few minutes to review their overwhelming and way too busy menu. He started berating me with questions, to the point I almost walked out. After he finally shut up, I was actually able to make a decision. I got one of their lunch specials, a fried chicken sandwich and fries. Took a little while to get the food. I know this isn't a fast food place, but again I was the only customer in the building other than one other couple who appeared to have already been served. Once I got the food, it was very tasty. The fried chicken was a little soggy but I looked past that. The fries where very good too but a lil heavy handed on the spice. The dining room was very clean and had been decorated for the holidays. I asked the manager as I was finishing my meal if it was normal for them to be this slow on a Wednesday afternoon during what would normally be a lunch rush. He said it was a little too slow for his taste but that they had enough to-go orders (DoorDash and so forth...) to keep them busy. Not sure how much I buy that but good luck to them anyways. Very tasty food. Just about the only establishment in the Triangle where you can order a meal that has multiple items in it without paying buffet prices. I live alone and rarely eat Indian food because I don't want to have to pay $65 for 3-4 entrees and then have leftovers for as many days. The menu is mildly fusion but still significantly Indian. The lamb vindaloo was tender chucks is a spicy brown gravy. The lentil dal and yellow rice (turmeric?) were standard issue. Array of fountain and bottled beverages was more imaginative than the standard fast food chain. Seating area simple but elegant. Definitely worth a visit for quick casual dining. I have been a regular here for several months. I work nearby, so it fits into my 30-minute lunch break. I like the burritos, but I LOVE the spicy fries. Today, I came in and ordered my usual lunch special (burrito, fries, and a drink for $10). I went out for a quick walk, and when I came back, I was informed that I would not be getting my fry order because they were for DINE-IN ORDERS ONLY! Instead, they gave me these wagon wheel things (see picture), which tasted like the love child of bland Funyuns and styrofoam, and some tortilla chips. I would love to discuss with the person who thought it was a good idea to punish frequent take-out customers by making such a nonsensical decision. Also, after being in food industry management, the right thing to do was to give me what I ordered and then inform me what the new policy going forward is or offer a refund. I'm no expert on Indian food but I was very much surprised by the quality and taste of the food here. Casual atmosphere, very clean, laid back environment. We got our food to go, but I could see this as a nice spot for lunch or dinner with a friend or spouse. Ample parking, convenient location. Appropriate service and the food was sufficiently spicy and not watered down. I love that they have designated vegan options that were intentionally labeled and packaged. All dishes had a beautiful presentation and I could tell they were packaged with care. Nothing leaked or fell apart. Samosas, fried cauliflower and two different vegan burritos. Met a friend here for a week day lunch. It's located in a retail/residential area that seems to be becoming more popular. I wish they were around when I was in my 20s! Plenty of parking and easy to access. The interior (and exterior!) were very cute! I loved the decor and the ambiance. The gentlemen behind the counter were super helpful and were very excited to explain anything on the menu that we didn't understand. I had glanced at the menu before we went so I kind of knew what I wanted. I ended up getting the mini samosas and the chili garlic naan. There was more that I wanted to try but it was a little pricy to me. The food was delicious and the presentation was great! I was impressed with everything that I experienced here. As we were leaving I saw a special on the door that I failed to notice on my way in...it was for a lunch special, El Jefe I think?, and I will definitely be coming back to try that. Returned twice now since my 1 star review. I'll keep this short for once. The actual "street food" items were amazing. The tandoori chicken sandwich is my favorite hands down. Never had anything like it cuz no one makes such a sandwich. The seasoned fries it comes with are amazing too. Tried some different "chaats" and they were really tasty too. Tried their guac out of curiosity and it was fresher than most Mexican places. Glad I gave this spot another chance. Heard about this place recently opening and had to give it a try. We ordered ahead of time to go which made things a lot easier. The Pav bhaji was great, though def had a stronger ginger taste. The paneer pizza was okay. The paneer didn't really taste like much but the sauce they used was pretty good. The samosa was good but they came cold and had to heat them up which I did not expect. Overall the food was okay but I think they have a lot of promise to grow once they figure out what they are doing. Atmosphere inside was very clean and felt like a fast casual restaurant. Food prices were average for that area. Plenty of parking. The staff was also very friendly when I went. Overall I think the food here is okay but I also think it just needs some time to figure out their processes. I came by to grab a free burrito on their opening day. There was a line out the door so I had to wait for a little while, but once I ordered, the food came out fast. I chose the chicken tikka masala burrito but a lot of their other menu options looked good too. The burrito had really good flavor but it was so spicy that I could barley eat it. I have low spice tolerance and always ask for spicy dishes to be made mild, but I wasn't expecting this to be spicy (there was no indication on the menu that it was) so I didn't think to ask. Came in here for takeout for a quick meal before a car ride. Staff greeted me when I entered and asked if I had any questions. Very helpful with any questions that I had. Inside is pretty big with lots of seats that I waited at while waiting for my food to be ready. The menu had a variety of items and I had difficulty choosing what to order. I ordered the chicken tikka masala burrito. It was actually pretty filling. Flavors were good. Waited about 10 minutes for my food. Price was okay, maybe a little more than I wanted. Loved this fast casual spot for flavorful and filling food! It's cutely decorated, and our to-go order was ready a few minutes early. The burritos are massive (like bicep-sized, the kind Chipotle used to make before they got skimpy) and made with various flavor-packed protein or veg curries, chickpeas, and basmati rice. We also tried the chicken 69 (a spicy fried popcorn chicken), which was fine, but I wouldn't get it again. It's flavorful but not the kind of coating that I like (battered). My favorite was the naan pizza. It's naan sauced with this caramelized onion-y curry, and topped with juicy tandoori chicken. Would definitely order this every time. There's lots more on the menu we didn't try (samosas, sandwiches, and more), and I'm looking forward to future visits. The only downside is that just about everything we tried was baseline noticeably spicy (hot), so it may not be good for folks or kids who don't eat spicy food. read more

The ravioli would have been good but they put the sauce in with them right after taking them out of the fryer and the sauce lid melted and sauce was everywhere by the time it got to me. Absolutely fantastic place to eat some casual Indian food! We came for their Grand Opening, which involved some free burritos. We also purchased some samosa chaat and a chicken tikka bowel. The food was served quickly, beautifully arranged, and tasted great! If I have a hankering for some chaat, I finally have a place I can go to that's not in Cary! The service is fast and friendly! Nice looking clean place. Service was good. And while the food tasted good, maybe I should have gotten a Thali instead of a burrito but I was sucked in by a novelty item. I should've known better with a fast food Indian chain based in Texas. It was nice and spicy but did not cross the line to overly so. The item I got is the Tikka Masala burrito which comes with either chicken or paneer. I got the chicken. My issue is, I couldn't taste the Tikka Masala which whenever I've had it was in a reddish orange sauce. This was not. There was none of this sauce in the burrito. It was mainly Chana Masala (a greenish brown sauce) with rice and and onions and some chicken. It took five bites before I got any chicken. It was tasty and filling but call it what it is a Chana Masala burrito. Which by the way tasted just like the to go Chana Masala I also ordered. I may go back, I don't know. read more

I've been here twice--once for takeout months ago and again recently, though unintentionally. After my first visit, I had decided not to return, but this second experience confirmed it's time to leave a review. There are a few bright spots: the garlic naan is excellent, the saag paneer is flavorful, and my toddler really enjoys the colorful potato wheels with sweet dipping sauce. The manager has also been kind and accommodating, which I appreciate. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience doesn't hold up. The chicken tikka masala was overly thin and tasted more like spicy tomato soup than the creamy, roasted flavor I expect. The chicken lacked that tender texture and signature roasted flavor you find at other Indian restaurants. The chickpea dish was underwhelming and bland--definitely a pass in favor of the saag paneer. Additionally, while the manager was pleasant, the cashier was not friendly, which impacted the overall experience. I wish I could say this place had improved, but after two visits, I won't be returning. read more

Very lackluster spot for Indian food. We got the papdi chat (the portion was tiny and it didn't have all the elements of a proper chat nor did it have the characteristic balance of sweet and savory- it was horribly salty) and the sexy fries with paneer (I liked the flavor, but again tiny portion compared to the price and fries were not at all crispy) for appetizers. For entrees, we got the chole batture (chole had minimal flavor) and the karol bagh thali (saag paneer and peri peri naan were decent). Overall, the food just did not seem freshly made and did not pack the punch expected of good Indian cuisine. After finally eating there I can now 100% say this place is worth your money. Next the dragonfruit lemonade, which was the bomb. A galactic experience, generational, immaculate. The flavor was so vivid and strong. A perfect drink to accompany this food. Next the Thali plate, which had a vast range of flavor. I know my words are dry when describing this, but the entire plate has extreme taste range. The Sexy Fries were very unique because of the topping, spicy lamb. Have YOU had lamb on your fries? It was fire, literally, because it easily very spicy! And last but not least, the samosas. They weren't the best thing we had, but they were delicious! The sauces worked incredibly well (as they should) with the potatoey texture and flavor. We were actually heading for a cup of coffee and saw Curry Up Now was open. I was eagerly awaiting their opening and was thrilled to stop in. The service was friendly and helpful, Amit answered all my curious questions. The food was so delicious and fresh! I would recommend the samosas, EXCELLENT! And the nann bites were delicious with the most enjoyable masala dipping sauce to accompany them. We definitely plan to return for a full meal and I am excited to try the bowls.
