I used their service for my new condo. I was recommended by one of my friends, so I went online to request an appointment. There was $20 off online coupon available, too. I received a call from Brian - he was very professional and polite - to setup an appointment. He was able to set it up for 2 days later although the website schedule was not available until later of the week. On the day of the appointment, Brian called me to let me know the service attendant would be late a bit and if it was okay for me. Again, he was professional and polite. The service attendant showed up a few minutes later and he was very professional as well. Brian was quick to get back to me when I called for an appointment. I was able to schedule the cleaning of two couches and an 8x10 area rug within days of my call. He arrived at the scheduled time and my brother reported that he was both personable and professional. The cleaning took about 2 hours and I'm very pleased with the results. The couches are a light tan linen-synthetic blend and came out great. The wool rug looks fresher and feels softer. Everything was dry by the time I got home from work. Rates are reasonable. I just had a baby two weeks ago and I love this company considering that there are no harmful chemicals used to clean the carpets We had our carpets cleaned just last week and I must say, they look so amazing. Every time I come home from a long day, i feel refreshed just looking at them! We have very expensive white wool carpets that require special care. You can only imagine what they look like after my two dogs are being-- well, dogs on them!! However, we don't fret too badly because we know that in three months, we will have Curtis back over to make them look brand new again! This was probably one of my worst experiences with a Chem Dry company in my entire life. I just bought a house and needed the carpets cleaned from the previous owner. After the initial cleaning (which for three bedrooms and a hallway cost well over $350) the floors still looked kind of dirty. They did not clean around the edges of the room at all and there still looked to be some tracks where the stains were initially. He said that it needed to dry and we should stay off it. He also told us that none of the stains were from pet urine so all the stains should come out no problem. We also paid for the extra carpet protection so we wouldn't have to worry about it down the road. At the time we had no furniture upstairs and we were still moving in. About a week later we were in the process of moving in, making sure that our shoes were not on when we walked on the carpet. Some of the stains started to show up again but we were busy moving to call again. There is only a 10 day guarantee on the carpet and after we had completely moved in, it was past the guarantee. Less than a month later all the stains came back into the carpet!!! We have never walked on the carpet with shoes and all the company could tell us was that it was out of their guarantee period. I called and they told us, "Oh it is probably pet urine." which is exactly what they said the stains weren't when we first moved in. They also informed us that they could come out and have us pay an additional $150 to re clean the hallway. All in all they did a horrible job and didn't stand by their work and on top of that tried to get extra money out of us to fix their mistakes. I would not give them another dime and I wouldn't waste my money with this unprofessional company. Our carpets look just as bad as they did when we moved in. Don't waste your money. read more

I am completely impressed with this company. Brian and Giovanny definitely know what they are doing! I had my carpets cleaned about 2 years ago because I accidentally knocked over a candle and the wax just stuck to the carpet. I figured it was time to get the entire condo cleaned anyway. The company that cleaned my carpet then could not get the wax out and stated it was just permanently stained. I'm not a carpet cleaning expert, so I simply believed him and lived with the terribly ugly and large spot. The reason I needed my carpets cleaned this time around is because I'm moving and going to rent out the condo. The renter was fine with the spot. Not only did Brian and Giovanny get the spot out, you can hardly tell where the high traffic areas are anymore. Curtis was great!!! We have 2 rescue dogs. After a year, one of them STILL goes in the house sometimes. All along the base of my couch and a few spots in my bedroom have been frequented by this little dog. Curtis was able to get the stain out of my very light colored carpet in my bedroom and the smell out of my brown couches. The carpet in our son's room is very old and had a LOT of traffic dirt ground in. The carpet was literally black in a few spots - but not any more!!! I wish I had taken before and after pictures. I don't know that I've ever worked with anyone more professional, reliable, courteous, friendly, knowledgeable, unbelievably reasonable and so hard working. This is a man who truly takes pride in his work and is such a pleasure. Brian cleans my carpets routinely but has done some specialized cleaning for me as well...including bleaching out red stains, pet stains, removing fleas and does amazing upholstery cleaning as well. All done to perfection. I just recently had Brian come in after I had a kitchen remodel. The kitchen crew had placed my old filthy appliances on my white carpet without tarps...I thought I would need new carpeting. Brian came in, did his thing, and they look like new! I've been using Yelp for ages and found some good service people so I thought I'd finally register to write a review. We moved into a house recently that needed some minor work so I found myself at a loss on different services to call. Carpets were filthy so I wanted someone to clean and found Curtice Chem Dry - a mom and pop type operation. http://www.curticechemdry.com/. The wife answered the phone and the husband came to do with the work with two other guys (one was in training) The owner, Brian (pcitured on the site, but that pic was 12 years ago...he still looks the same though) was a super nice guy and really supervised, bringing in extra gear to do some touch ups. The quote initially seemed higher than the "specials" I was seeing on some other chem dry sites but the lady said she was into "reality" pricing. I goofed and gave her too many rooms for the quote - (6, when it's actually 4 rooms and a hallway, plus one of the rooms would count as two). She quoted me 299, plus 15% off as a discount - she initially quoted 10% off but I asked her about specials compared to her competitors so she came back with a bit more. Extra large rooms would be $60 extra. The actual bill came out to be $229 - quite a bit cheaper than I thought - even though it should have been cheaper anyway since it was one less room. They are a small operation and I am glad I went with them because their reputation and work mattered a little more to them since so much of their business is word of mouth. I would never bother to clean carpets by myself after seeing this. For not much more, you can have it done by someone who knows what they are doing. They moved all my furniture around for me too! This is THE best Chem-Dry company in L.A.! I have cream colored all-cotton upholstery with a lot of scatter cushions - and I live at the beach. This is guaranteed to create havoc with such material - brown staining because of the moisture is a given - and yet, Curtice Chem-Dry manages to not only remove it, but thanks to their continued diligence over the years, they have managed to preserve the fabric for a total now of 20 years! I would highly recommend Curtice ChemDry. They are prompt and get the job done quickly, but thoroughly. Although ChemDry costs more than steam cleaning, it was worth it because the carpets were almost dry by the time they left. They also stretched my carpet where it had wrinkles for a small extra fee. They moved the furniture, too. It is a small owner-owned business and the owner himself did the work with his crew. I think I got much better quality and service than from a large impersonal company.
