FIRST IMPRESSION: Elaine at the front desk walked me through the process. She was very kind and patient. You'd be surprised at some of the off-putting/uncomfortable/ or condescending interactions I had at other shops before coming here. She didn't need much information other than my insurance quote. I was given a drop-off date and told how long the repair should take. She made sure I knew how the rental car situation would work. She was very proactive; she called me a week before the drop-off date to let me know she hadn't heard anything about my car rental reservation and wanted to alert me. DROP-OFF: On the day of, I had car rental issues, none of which was PC's issue, but Elaine again was patient with me until I had that straightened out and offered to make me a cup of coffee. PICKUP: -which was indeed the expected date originally quoted to me, I had some issues with my debit card and it was almost closing time. Both Elaine and Ken were so very patient with me. They allowed me to take more time to go to the nearby bank branch to clear up the issue, which put me back at PC after closing time, on a Friday no less. Ken was gracious about the whole transaction and walked me to my car. WORK PERFORMED: -was a big replacement from a rear end collision. They were able to work a previous damage that directly affected the job they would be performing into a supplemental charge to the insurance company. When I say that car never looked so good, I truly mean that. The new version of my car was thoroughly detailed inside and out and the replacement was seamless. I HIGHLY recommend going to Precision Collision for Auto Body work if you are in the area as they are kind, courteous, and true craftsmen in their field.

We called Toyota Care for help. We wound up waiting 3 hours for a tow, but the people at Steve's allowed us to use the lot and the restrooms while we waited. After a ridiculous amount of a wait, Brenda, in the office called the tow company that we were waiting for, and "shook them up". Within 20 minutes the tow showed up. While we were waiting we saw the great body work that they were doing on cars. I would trust these people to work on my car any time. Coordinating the insurance for these accidents was both a pain and time intensive, but the guys at Ace remained patient throughout, including when the car was deemed "totaled" by one of the insurance companies and the work entailed in pulling back that claim. They were courteous, respectful, very quick and thorough. They repaired my Subaru, worked with the insurance company ( the value of the quote) and made it look as if nothing had happened to it. They even detailed inside of my car and replaced the cover on the driver side seat that I told them that would pay out of pocket for because it was not part of the accident but they fixed it anyways with no charge. Steven Litwin is the shop Foreman and handled everything professionally and was very pleasant to work with. I hope my car is never damaged again but if it is it will only go to Steben's.

Second, the issue again is service. Your staffs service was the issue which I believe I clearly articulated. I would hate for that to get lost in your response for others as they are making their own decisions about patroning your auto shop. So to be clear, my issue is the service when I arrived and as I was interacting with Mike and I in no way indicated your service was poor. Now your comment stating that I wasn't spoken to "how I would like" implies zero accountability for the customer experience. I would like to have questions answered and be able to discuss the work done on my car as would anyone with the person reviewing it. Your message fails to address that sole issue. Original response: I guess the experience depends on who you are and what you're perceived ability to finance you vehicle is by the employees. I am off for parental leave and just in survival mode as one tends to be in the first weeks and was not wearing my executive suite or clothing, so unfortunately no one would not know that I run a small organization. Apparently that determines the service because when I arrived for an estimate, I was excited because this auto shop comes HIGHLY recommended. I was going to spend several thousand dollars to fix a small fender bender and then ask about detailing services. However I will not be engaging with this organization again because I was treated with such indifference that I can't imagine patroning this organization. When I arrived, and was assigned someone to draft the estimate, I approached this staff member, I believe his name was Mike, and asked questions because I had already gotten a quote. He would not look at the other estimate I had and didn't discuss anything with me. I was told that the price will be the same as the other shops and that I should just check my email for his estimate and we can talk then. I left wondering why I came if at places like Waldron Carstar, sat down with me and went point by point and discussed options and advised me as I asked questions BEFORE and AFTER I received their estimate. They treated me like a valued customer and tried to create a work plan that worked for me as a drop in. I went to 3 other shops and got same day estimates. This individuals quote came 12 hours later. Their work is probably great, but their treatment of me as a customer was disappointing given how much work I was intending to pay for. In my opinion, auto service is expensive but the customer service and care shouldn't be optional because that is essentially the only difference from shop to shop since "it's the same price" according to their rep. Fun fact, their quote was the most expensive quote. Go figure lol Update: The response was "I am sorry the estimator did not converse with you the way you would like." Again, customer service appears optional. My response was as follows when the manager referenced their reputation as well: "I actually came because of the reputation, including the fact that I was looking for detailing estimates as well but I never got to that. Because when I approached your staff and asked questions, again I was told that the price will be the same and that I should just check my email. Great people, great service and really reasonable prices. They even offered to drive me back home if I needed it. They do share a spot with a car rental place so trust that you are in the right place when you go in. Hopefully my car won't need service again for a while but when it does I'll be going back here.
