FrontPoint always provided the panel's battery replacement and new sensors for free, forget about it with Alert360. Whenever I tried to contact them to get assistance or to talk to a representative it took me about 30 minutes to be able to find a phone number to call them. Once I had them on the phone their assistance was of no help, some of the agents were even curt and didn't see to care about my issue. For financial reasons I had to cancel the service, last thing I remembered I was told with FrontPoint that there were no contracts and could cancel at any time without problems. Well, since moving to Alert360 it seems that one is under a contract since you have to give them 30 days notice to cancel or else you will be charged. Since I cancelled at the beginning of September they charged me for the month, ok that's fine, but I gave them my notification before October and guess what?! They went ahead and charged me for the month with no service! Ha! I called them twice to get the charge refunded (the woman that answered was pretty rude by the way), last agent I spoke to told me the refund should've been made right away on my first call! He said the refund would be posted in my back account within 5-7 days...it's already half month and no amount has been refunded so I had to dispute the charge which is still in process. Please don't trust this people and their business practices, they will screw you up any chance they get and you won't see a penny if you are asking for money back! **UPDATE: I received a call from one their representatives on October 29 telling me they had sent me a check on October 16 and I should get it shortly. Well, it is now November 7 and I still haven't received any check yet. I submitted a review at the ConsumerAffairs website and the BBB. My bank is also disputing and investigating this issue. I still don't recommend them and wouldn't go back to them even if their service was free... **UPDATE (11/22/24): The company called me to tell me that the check they had sent went back to them due to them missing to write down the apartment number (you would think they have the complete address since they're a security systems company! The irony!), fine, I gave the correct address and the agent says they'll resent the check. Next day, I received another call saying they couldn't send the check since they don't have the complete address! This company is just joking with me at this point! What type of training is the staff getting? They don't know how to write down notes in one's file??? It's ridiculous, a joke and a waste of time! My bank still dealing with the dispute (about two months ongoing now!) which they shouldn't have to...shm. I have updated every single complaint I put out there about this company (Google, Yahoo, BBB, Consumer Affairs, Yelp, etc.) so people will realize the kind of business this is and to PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AND FIND SOMETHING BETTER!

I bought a system from Dyezz, a local business who belong to the AIBA, and support local businesses. I shall elaborate my objections to the marketing strategy. If someone walked up to you and said, "Gee, that suit looks awful--I'm a tailor and I can fix it." How would you feel? Would you want to do business with them? If you had just had a major automobile accident, and a safe driving instruction school called and said, "Gee, sounds like your really need our services," would you react positively to that approach? The insensitivity of the caller and his hard sell approach didn't appeal to me. I think it would be far better to send a letter or a brochure through the mail, rather than calling.

After researching, Allied was the best deal. Free instillation and free service calls. The instillation was that week, the team was very nice and professional. They understood how concerned I was about any alarm testing frightening my dog. They were very understanding and warned me before any tests. They ran into a few issues because they were installing over a previous owners alarm, but were in and out quickly. A few weeks later, there were some alerts on my screen , I called in and they had an electrician out the same day to fix the problem. My favorite part about Allied is I can controll my thermostat and lights right from my phone with a free application, alarm.com. I love being able to turn my lights on and off when I am on vacation or turning down the thermostat on the way home so it is cooled off when I get in! Michael worked with me on scoping the project and suggested a number of possible options as far as possible upgrades but never did it feel like he was trying to up sell me on any of these options. We revised the bid a number of times and Michael was even flexible enough to add a wireless access point at the last moment. On the day of the install Ethan and Santos arrived on time and were clean, quiet and courteous while working. The guys had to first clean up a wiring cabinet that was a rat's nest of useless legacy wiring - the cabinet door was not able to close due to the mess and they cleaned it up so that it now closes with ease. The got the ethernet jacks in all the rooms setup exactly as I had requested and then proceeded to install the wifi access point so perfectly it is almost unnoticeable. Ethan and Santos had to deal with a lot of old technology but were able to weed out everything that was no longer relevant and wire up all the new technology. They reprogrammed by universal remote and gave me a demo of the new setup. Ethan was willing to offer suggestions when I asked about possible other projects and left me with a feeling that if anything was not absolutely perfect I could call and he would be back to make it so ! These guys are awesome and you can use them with confidence knowing they will blow you away with their workmanship.
