I got to meet the owner Jaime and he is very nice and honest. I'm pretty sure this guy has seen a lot. He's bee in business for I believe over 60 years! I was looking for some rims for my Toyota, I called up Custom Rims and Tires and they gave me an estimate for some rims they had in stock there - told me it would take probably about an hour to put the rims on, so I went on over today. The gentleman was SO very nice and helpful - he had one set of rims in stock that would fit my car and they happened to look great! He showed me how they would look by holding them next to the tire for me - he was so patient while I took a couple of photos so I could send them to my husband. They did the job in less than an hour - so quick and so friendly - he even pointed out to me that the patch job on my tire was not a great patch - and he fixed it for me for such a nominal charge. I am so grateful to this family owned business for helping me with all of this and making my car look fantastic. I drove away with a smile on my face. They're a little far away for me, but I liked them so much that when I need anything else relating to tires, I'll be sure to drive back to them! read more

I been to this shop a few times and they do great work and honest work to. I took one of my wheels that was turn away from discount tires due to a nail stuck some where between the thread of the tire, so I took my wheel here and they fixed it. Also today I had a very big issues with my new set of wheels turns out it was balance wrong off by 2-2.5 ounces and they corrected the problem also they found my wheel spacers wasn't shaved off correctly they took care of that to. This tire place is one of the few places that will fix run flat tires. A lot of other tire places will not fix a nail in run flat tires, they will ask you to replace the tire complete as recommended by the dealership. However, a normal run flat tire will cost anywhere around $400. Having to find this place that will fix run flat tire save me tremendous amount of money. Nail fix will only be $20. $20 comes with removing the tire, test out where the damage from the nail is, take out the nail, patch the hole, and refill with air. Very standard but hard to find place that will do that for run flat tires. I have also ordered 2 replacement tires online from ebay and went to them for installation. Installation was $20 per tire, plus $3.50 each recycling fee if you would like them to take your old tires. I was surprised to find out they charge a recycling fee, but I understand why they charge a recycling fee and the total was still reasonable. Definitely recommend for everyone around the area. They do not require appointment, just walk-in. They also work very fast, each visit was finished within 15 minutes. read more

A+ customer service, trust worthy. I came here after looking on yelp for an honest, reasonably priced tire shop. Some of the other places I researched had poor reviews on customer service or price which led to me choosing custom rim and tires, and I am definitely glad i did. I had a low tire light on for me back left tire that wouldn't go away even after refilling. I gave them a call about my problem and they told me to just come by and they would check it out. After a thorough inspection and checking the air pressure on all of my tires they said they didn't see anything wrong w that back left tire and that one of the front set tires was overfilled. I said ok and asked how much for them looking at it and he said not to worry about it. I thought that was a very good example of customer service, instead of ripping me off they know it's better to treat your customer well and earn their repeat business. These guys r very nice and trustworthy and I will definitely return when i need any work on my tires! Received quick and honest service from custom rims and tires. I was able to get three used tires for a fairly reasonable price. I was very happy with their quick, honest and friendly service. I called over the phone gave my car make, model, year and size of tires, they were able to tell me the price over the phone and let me know if they had any available. Once, they told me the price I drove over there and had my damaged tires replaced quickly and efficiently. I even got a spare tire just in case! Unfortunately, they don't do tire alignments but no big deal because they were already such a big help! My family has been going to this place for over 25 years. They always had great prices on rims and tires. But here is the BEST thing about them. They only charge $10 to fix a flat and you are in and out of there within 10 minutes. Today, I was driving home from work and I noticed a rotating noise in my tire. I drove over to Custom Rim and Tires at 5:55 pm. There was only one other customer and I only had to wait 5 minutes. Even though they are supposed to close at 6pm, they took my car in and fixed the flat within 5 - 7 minutes. I was out by 6:10 pm and it was only $10. The only downside is that they only have two spaces to fix your car's flat or to change your tire. So if they are working on two cars, yours will have to wait but they are honest with how long you will have to wait. They are also honest with pricing. They will try and get you the best deal. The owner, Jaime Lopez is a very nice and friendly. You can count on this place to get your tire fixed in no time. read more

Jaime is the man! I must be a magnet for nails, not a pun. I'm literally attracting nails...well at least my car is anyway. This is the place to go to if you catch a nail. They can patch it for you under 15 mins. One time I had a nail pretty close to the side wall of the tire. Usually that means my tire is done and I have to order a new one. Instead of up selling me a new tire, they tried and patch it instead. What do you know, the patch held and it only cost me $20 instead of $300. They can get whatever tire you need. Their inventory is pretty big also. If they don't have it, then it usually will be there next day. Their pricing is fair and negotiable. Bottom line is that there are many tire places but this place is trustworthy and honest. read more

One word SHADY. I went in this place, wanting to give it a shot since it is a small, hole in the wall, neighborhood business. Boy was I in for an eye opening experiencing. I had a crack in one of my rims, the tire was losing air, I knew exactly how big the crack was and what needed to be done (welded). However, when I spoke to the owner of the business, Jaime Lopez Sr. he told me he would take care of it for $75 and it would be ready by the end of the day. Later that day, Lopez called and said the rim could not be fixed because the crack spread and it was a complete loss, he would not be able to fix it (mind you I knew exactly how small of a job it was) and it would be $25 for looking at the rim. Lopez did offer to sell me a new rim and tire however... he insisted that I get the complete set so they all matched (knowing damn well that the other rims and tires were fine). I said I would be back. I took my rim to a place in Huntington Park (on Gage) and fixed the problem for $10. Never will I ever return to this piece of sh#t place again. In fact, I recommend other people boycott this place and run it out of town. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! TOTAL RIP OFF!!! read more
