I am far from a professional when it comes to IT installations, but I know enough to be dangerous. And after getting quotes to install ethernet in my 1980s circa home, one never wired for ethernet, one that just went through a significant renovation where I, in my supreme wisdom said "WiFi is great, now! Who need hardwires anymore?" was now faced with retrofitting several rooms and office with ethernet and said, this guy over here, the independent with a normal sounding company name, yeah - lets go with him! Mistake!! After schedule, and reschedule, and delays, and reschedule, we got nowhere with contractor number one. Meanwhile, Roberto and Peter at Those Tech Guys had patiently followed up several times, continued to be pleasant and professional, and AFTER I said no thank you I am going to go with someone else! So I made the dreaded call back - "So remember when I said if things change . . . " Peter was quick to jump on the phone, and walk me through things at every step. Gave me a highly competitive bid, and an install time of only a few days from when I called. They cam onsite, were clean courteous, and efficient. They played with my dog (I mean who doesn't love a bowling ball Staffy Bull Terrier mix?) and made light work of the install, and the final cost (with tip!) was even below the initial quote. This was made possible as Peter walked my home and together we found opportunities to do things more quickly, and save a few dollars along the way. In the end, I didn't choose Those Tech Guys first, but you should. No regrets here, other than I should have picked them first!

Enter George from Sevan Locks & Doors. George answers his phone! We made an appt to have the door fixed the next day. Boris came out and fixed it! Reasonable fee and excellent work. Thank you George & Boris. I found Sevan locks & doors on the BBB website. They were the only company in this area to have an A+ rating with no complaints. They are also a member of BBB which was even more reassuring. I wish there was a BBB for FreeCycle customers...

He was able to tailor a system to meet the needs of our family at a price that we felt was fair. We had a few minor issues with the installation process but they corrected everything in a very timely manner. Landon was our installer and he proved to be friendly, respectful, and helpful. We LOVE the product and the features available provide peace of mind along with a nice cool factor. We feel that the incentive program to stay beyond the contract along with the referral source is a great one too. Talk about going from First to Worst, this sadly is the case for Custom Security Systems. I recently had a forth system installed in a new building after the business was acquired by Stanley security systems. Then, they became Stanley Convergent Security Systems, then they became Securitas Security. My experience with the last system was that it cost a fortune and hasn't worked right since it was installed. There have been multiple service calls but problems remain. And forget calling the main numbers for any help. I have literally been on hold for over 30 minutes numerous times while waiting to speak with customer service. One thing in particular I love is that without fail, if a person from a Securitas department says they will call you back, they won't. I really feel for the local people who used to make Custom Security Systems so great. But the companies that have churned them into "The Borg" that is Securitas has absolutely ruined a once great company. If you do ANY business with them, you do so after being warned.

They have many services, but we were looking for someone to make duplicate sets of keys for our RV (Southwind motorhome). We made a lot of calls only to get answering machines, mobile locksmiths, and kiosk machines. None of these helped, so we drove to Always and were able to get our duplicates made on the spot. The locksmith who waited on us was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. He also warned us about some mobile locksmith bait-and-switch scams and how to avoid them (check their business license/permit). I highly recommend Always Safe & Lock if you need keys or other locksmith services.
