I've been looking for someone to cut short precision styles since my stylist moved out of state. One of my coworkers who always has gorgeous hair styles let me in on this secret. This is a good alternatives to the more expensive chain salons like Fantastic Sam's or Supercuts. It's cheaper in price, but not in quality. Plus, they have a punch card which gives you 50% off after 10 visits. One thing I recommend doing is asking for the estimated wait time at the counter if the place appears to be busy inside. In my last visit, there were several people seated in the lobby. When I asked the stylist what the estimated wait time was, she said that should to take me right away. I recommend this place for a quick hair cut. Plus, it's in a good shopping center with Ralphs and some food places. read more

Ehhhh, it was okay. The lady who took care of my daughter was really sweet. I just think she could have thinned her hair out a bit, but you never can tell til they blow dry the hair a bit, and they don't do that. You pay extra for a washing, and it's convenient enough since its right in the Ralphs parking lot, but the place is dirty and could use a good clean up. Not my favorite place, rather drive up to get a supercuts or fantastic sams, where I feel like they are a bit more cleaner and you at least get your hair blow dried, especially the kids! read more

Got my hair colored. I was a faded red auburn going back to my natural dark brown and wanted a few highlights. Note- my hair is short. A bit past my chin, not even close to my shoulder. Well my hair came out a bit dark, hopefully a few washes fade it to brown. It hasn't faded one bit, my hair is black. The highlights are ok, not sure if she kept them in too long or I picked a wrong color they are almost blonde white. I got a. Little in my bangs area and some underneath. When asked for styling and she said it was a blow dry. I said yes, duh I want to see the color? Well the stupid blow dry was $15. My hair doesn't even touch my shoulder! Some context: I concede that I am largely unqualified to review the aesthetic merits of this or any other hair salon. I typically go to Supercuts--I don't care which one. I make only one request --the same one-- each time: any and all "styling" conducted, if not replicable with ZERO effort on my part, will not be appreciated. If a stylist can abide this simple yet counterintuitive request, the establishment is well on its way to 5 stars. That being disclosed, and although it may seem like a backward compliment, I feel all the more compelled (and qualified) to review Cut Loose. What brought me here: 1. Open 7 days/week 2. Really positive reviews, mostly for Olivia --so I figured I'd try to snag her 3. Proximity 4. Price--comparable to Supercuts, but still one of the "little guys" (not a corporate behemoth). Unsurprisingly, the illustrious "Olivia" was unavailable. I dumbly nodded when the lady behind the podium unceremoniously guided me to a chair, then to a hair wash station. Apparently, she had taken my initial call and was ready to get to work. I liked her already. Second disclosure: I was ashamed of what I'd brought to this poor, nice lady. I'd had a couple careless encounters with tiled floors resulting in several scalp staples and a debilitating "unstable" upper arm fracture. My roots were unintentionally pink from thoughtlessly dousing my scalp in hydrogen peroxide after disabusing myself of the staples. Worse yet --and my reason for coming in --I hadn't brushed, let alone washed, my mass of long, fine-stranded hair in over a week. Without flinching, cringing, smirking, or running away screaming, Vana patiently removed the array of clips and pins I'd accumulated. We decided a deep conditioning was in order, and for the next hour and a half of us chatting or me app-ing, she patiently parsed through the seemingly irremediable ruins of my hair [please consult exhibits A and B]. My previous disclosures validate my position that Vana, specifically, and Cut Loose, generally, are exceptional. While I cannot attest to her full range of skills, I can reasonably aver that whatever she's asked to do, she'll do with humility, open-mindedness, patience, and in the spirit of empathy and camaraderie. These are qualities less-easily discerned from what, by comparison, I now see as traditional or "simple" styling procedures. So, why only 4 stars? Well, my ignorance might be more to blame than anyone/thing else. Presumably, no one likes surprises at payment time, so when the quoted price of $25 leapt to $50 (for the deep conditioning), in addition to the anachronistic credit card fee (who has that except liquor stores and donut shops?!), I admit I was a bit sour. Clearly, though, my experience warranted the 20+minutes (okay, more like an hour) it took to write this otherwise favorable review. Hopefully, readers are diligent enough to see this post through to the end. Further, I hope they are discerning enough in this and all other matters not to take others' value-laden, socioeconomically-informed judgements as reliable truths. I'm just glad I can brush my hair again. read more

I've been to Cut Loose four or five times in the past 4 years and I was a walk-in today around 12:30 PM. My hair was super long and crazy looking this morning. I needed a change. I got set up with Maria right away and requested a long bob. She immediately knew what I was asking for, clarified the length, and was so talented and methodical about her cut. She is a hair craftsman. And a sweet heart! As for prices, my cut cost $22 dollars, plus a blow dry for another $6. The whole process took around 35 minutes. I've had uber expensive haircuts in the past and it looked like I got a $100 hair cut. At Cut Loose, I've had nothing but pleasant experiences and I always come out looking waaaay better. If you need a quick cut, I highly recommend Cut Loose. I'll definitely go back and will see what they can do about my eyebrows next time. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON. I was there recently and asked for a simple volume blow dry with beach waves. The lady nodded her head and said she understood. New update! Anna (again) is totally worth it. I had a wedding to go to, and the bride requested that I not have blue hair for the photos lol so I needed to hanger my color within a 2 week period. Anna not only got my hair there, she did it carefully so there wasn't a ton of damage. We got my hair to a lovely red color and added some tape in extensions. I went two weeks ago , with high expectations . I had called over the phone too see how much the styling I would want would cost & I was told 50-100$ . My hair is medium Length so I assumed no more then 80$. I was hesitant from the beginning but they did make me At ease with what I wanted , yet it didn't come out how it was suppose too & too top it off I was charged $120 that day . I asked her for something that would not take to much money to keep up with, and for something darker than what I had. I came in for a trim and sat down with a new stylist. My cut was fine, but while I was trapped in the chair the stylist brought up a controversial topic and would not let it go. I tried to give short responses to drop the topic but she stayed on her soap box even if I said nothing. She asked me loaded questions like "Don't you have to get extra vaccines as a nurse?" (I told her that I didn't) and "Don't you care about all that mercury you're putting into your body?" (I didn't put any extra mercury into my body) And I felt that I could only say so much while this person had a pair of scissors around my head. I felt that the situation was really unprofessional.
