Josh came out for the estimate and was also the installer which is really important to me. He has very good pricing, was on time for both appointments, very professional and polite which appears to be getting more rare these days. He also actually called me as I had requested, when he was close by, so I would know and be prepared for his arrival. I can't even count how many times I've asked others for this in the past and have them just show up with no call after saying they would and most times even late. Josh values your time too, which is so nice. He did an amazing job on our brand new garage door. It looks incredible. He was clean and took great care in how he treated our home. Addendum: 2 days later, my husband who works far too much had a chance to check the installation and found something I didn't see. Josh also left some wood behind so the clean up wasn't perfect. When we inquired about some slight damage to the trim. Josh said he would come help fix it but claimed it was not in his wheelhouse. Something my husband didn't buy because all it involved was a little shimming. My problem was that Josh was aware of what happened but didn't point it out to me when I came to look and pay. When asked why, he didn't really have a good answer and stated that he didn't think it was that big a deal. Definitely not the answer a homeowner likes to hear. I fixed this to 3 stars when initially or was 5. I'd always prefer to be told if a mistake is made. It made him look bad and makes me change my mind about my comment on him taking care in how he treated our home. It would of been better to have been told rather then to wait and see if we noticed. 5/13/2018 Update: The owner Josh reached out to me promptly to explain about the no show. He was very sincere about how to make this right and I decided to give a 2nd try so I set an appointment with him to come out today. He arrived as scheduled and installed my garage opener in about 90 mins. I was watching the installation and Josh is truly a professional! The installation was quick and smooth. He also gave a briefing of how to use the new opener, as well as how to lubricate the parts on the door to make it quieter. I'm very happy with my new opener now and enjoy the quietness a lot! Let me just start off by saying that I've gone through eight different garage "emergencies" - everything from snapped torsion springs, to cable drum slippage, to.. ...backing a car into the garage door before it was fully opened and sending the door off its rails. I had, yet another, snapped torsion spring (it was old, almost seven years) and a support cable yank itself out of its anchor during the snapped torsion spring calamity. A casual inquiry to Cutting Edge via Yelp resulted in a quick response. I made an appointment with Josh and he gave me a very small window for his arrival (a good thing), which I'm not used to because I'm normally accustomed to Gas Company time frames of "be available from 8 am to 9 pm"... Josh showed up on time as he said and was ready to go. After an inspection of my situation, he provided options for my garage torsion spring replacement and his prices are incredibly reasonable. Let me put it this way... he has the best offer in town (I always do my research).
