It's obvious that CVS is no longer a viable business. This location, among so many others, just don't even answer the phone. The corporation is clearly leaning on their pharmacy services, to the point where if you need help with anything else, you have to physically go down to the store because they cannot be bothered to answer their phone. Another wonderful (sarcasm in my voice) experience at this location. Had my appointment for 12:10 today with email confirmation. Waited on the drive through line for 35 minutes just to be told at the window that they don't have me in the system. Showed my confirmation email with code and she said there was nothing she could do for me. Instead gave me a number to call. Called the number and they told could not do anything for me. HORRIBLE SYSTEMS IN PLACE. If you can't get it right, don't offer drive through testing at all. Last week they cancelled on me WHILE I WAS IN LINE WAITING! I came here with a friend of mine to pick up some things and print out a photo of a chicken and pick up some developed photos. I was able to snack on some Starbursts while she tried to work the photo printing computer which wasn't easy but eventually we got it to work. The photos were also expensive to develop too, but that had nothing to do with that particular CVS. read more

Most of the pharmacy staff is pretty rude at this location. Always long lines and if they have to fix something with your script you end up waiting on the long pharmacy line twice rather than them troubleshooting. This is a big mega-chain, so why does the pharmacy close for lunch? I took a 1/2 hr trip to pick up a script only to discover they were closed for lunch and had to wait for them to re-open. If they need to hire more people or stagger lunch times they should do so. They should also train their pharmacy staff on customer service. In my limited interactions with store staff, they were more customer-friendly than the pharmacy staff. read more

Went in to pick up my scrip and the girl with the multicolored hair took my info and told me to wait so I sat in the seats they had for at least 10 minutes and hear one of the pharmacy techs call my name so I knew it was ready so I remained sitting there while a friend of her's came up and they were just purposely taking time to converse knowing they were holding up people and she took other customers knowing my scrip was ready, I think I was there a total 30 minutes if I hadn't stood up and said what's up with my order I would have had to sleep there., I should feel sorry for the girl, she has some anger issues. CVS continues on a downnward trend. They care nothing about the customer experience. Repeatedly they fail to fill prescriptions in the time frame promised. Many times don't even tell you they don't have your drug in stock and they have to order And have you return to the store repeated times and still don't have the prescription filled. They continue to expand their business without adding additional personnel to handle the workload. Repeatedly a horrible experience. Very very unhappy, but they could care less. read more

I also wish I could give 0 stars. I've used this CVS for a while now bc of the convenient location but I'm done. I've had issue with Rx not being ready and rude staff but this week has been the kicker. They had the wrong Dr on my Rx and told me it could not be changed. This was their fault, it was a written script I'd brought in. I had to fight with them to get them to cancel out the wrong Rx and re-enter it correctly. Clearly they did not want to be bothered. On Tues, my Dr electronically submitted a new Rx for antibiotic. Dr provided me an initial dose so I went the following day to pick up the Rx. 26 hours after it was submitted, it wasn't ready. They asked me to wait 30 minutes for it bc they are too busy. That's inexcusable. read more

Honestly wish I could give 0 stars, place is an absolute joke and as pathetic as you can get. waited for 30-45min in the drive thru (only 2 cars a head of me) just so they can tell me that my medication was not ready and would be another 30min on top of the 2hrs that had passed already since the prescription was put in by my dr. Then I drove home which is about 5min down the road and I get a text stating my prescription is ready. They honestly don't care about they're customers and their well being, NEVER USING THEM AGAIN!! read more

This place is really going downhill and I'm specifically reviewing the pharmacy. Today I was helped by Christopher. Helped is actually not the right word. I clearly explained that I was there picking up cancer medications for my father. I mentioned that I confirmed with the doctors from Danbury Hospital ahead of time that the medication was called in and available for pick up. I say that because we've had issues with CVS in the past, including today where they have called and left an auto message on our machine saying that medication's are ready and then we get down there and wait in a very long line just to find out that they are not. I asked him specifically what medications were available when he responded to me that Dad's medications were not there. He said neither one was there but that there was a medication waiting for my father but it was neither of the two I asked about. I gave them my father's information very clearly. Spelled everything out and was completely kind. Even got his doctor on the phone and they would not speak to them. Sure enough, one of the two medication's was there being held for my father. The other one was not due for a refill yet according to the pharmacist but they left us a message that morning saying to come pick it up. When your father is on hospice care and dying of cancer and you're afraid to leave for just a few moments here or there, having your time wasted like this is absolutely infuriating. Complete garbage pharmacy- or a really crappy employee- either way, what a joke. I even got my father's physician on the phone on a Sunday on an emergency call and Christopher would not speak to him. Additionally, for the medication that was ready, he would not help with setting up auto delivery. This is a service I have used for my own migraine medication and none of the drugs my father is on have any restrictions for auto delivery, as I was told by a CVS employee over the phone. So Christopher, you're an unsympathetic jerk. And you suggesting I would then need to come in the store to wait in yet another line after waiting so long in the drive-through line is ridiculous when I have to get back and care for my dad. This is the reason why healthcare is going to hell in this country. And maybe you should not be in one of the caring professions. You're not cut out for it clearly. Completely forgetting about the people behind the corporations. Maybe fast food is more for you. read more

I have been shopping at this store in Danbury since it was built and was never so rudely waited on before like this morning. The man who waited on me was impatient and rude. There were two items I bought that were buy one get 50% off which rang up the correct way. I told him that there was only one on the shelf for one item so he gave me a discount for it but neglected to do the same for the second item. I could not find another one for the special price. He told me that there were plenty of them on the shelf. I said I don't work in this store and I did not see anymore. He left the register to look for another one and found one remarking that there were a lot of the product back there. This happens too frequently at this store, they don't have a second item for the special sale. I also asked for an item they are now keeping behind the counter. He was disrespectful with me because I tried to choose one but could not read the labels. Fortunately there are plenty of other places I can buy these products in town or online and not be treated like garbage. read more

Not that thrilled with this place. They have all the stuff you expect a drugstore to have, convenient hours, and a rewards program. But I'm just not wowed by the pharmacy portion, and isn't that the whole point to this place? They don't seem to have their act together. First I was told I couldn't refill prescriptions online because they didn't have that capability. That sounded wrong to me, so I checked and sure enough you CAN order refills online. One down. Then they started calling me on my cell phone to get my refills. Excuse me......but I am not always somewhere I can discuss health matters freely. I told them that, and asked them to stop. I was told the only way they could stop calling me is to totally remove my phone number from the system. That means they have no way to get a hold of me if there's a problem that actually justifies a phone call. Two down. Then tonight I went in to drop off a prescription and was told the standard "wait 10 minutes." Ok. So I went off to browse the magazine rack, only to be paged -- yes -- PAGED on the store PA system that my prescription is ready. So much for my right to privacy. Three down. I'm truly debating whether I have a good enough reason to go back. Considering that they always seem to be out of brand name medication and there's usually a 2-3 day wait to have it ordered, I'm thinking not. read more

Too bad I can't give 0 stars. What is wrong with the pharmacy staff here? Incompetence doesn't even begin to explain what goes on. I went to my local CVS, but they didn't carry the specific pain medication I needed, so they checked other CVS's in the area and were told that this pharmacy DID carry it. I came straight over to find that they did, in fact, NOT carry it. After telling the employee that I had someone call ahead of time to make sure they carried it, he replied, "I don't know who you talked to, but we don't. We're going to have to order it, and it takes 2 days." Not given much of a choice, I asked when it would be ready in 2 days. He said that it would be ready by late MORNING and that I could just come in and pick it up. Fast forward 2 days later, I call in the AFTERNOON to see if the script is ready, only to be told that it has not been filled yet. I ask how long it would take, and the female employee tells me HALF AN HOUR. Fast forward AN HOUR, and I arrive at the pharmacy to find that it still is not ready. After 3 different employees giving me the run around for 2 days for a pain med I needed right after my surgery, I was livid. The employee at the pharmacy desk that day (they change the employees everyday it seems) only said there was nothing she could do, and it was being filled, so wait 10 MORE MINS. 20 MINS LATER, and the script was finally ready. I guarantee that if any of these people were in pain like the patients who rely on their scripts being filled in a timely manner, they would have expedited the process or at least been more competent at their jobs. Pharmacy is very slow when it comes to getting things done. Parking lot is cramped, the parking in the middle section is an accident waiting to happen. Store Manager (dark haired lady) was rude to my wife when she didn't understand something on her bill. Find a different pharmacy! read more
