The reviews are true, absolutely the slowest pharmacy I've ever been to. Call in your prescription, and when you get there its not ready and the line is 5-6 people long. The lack of service at the pharmacy is just horrid. Not only did my physician have to call today after calling in the script yesterday but then, when the pharmacy manager assured me that the prescription was being filled, he left for lunch and further left me to wait another 30 minutes. When I asked the status I was told that it was not yet filled at all and I was given no estimate as to when, if at all, the simple prescription would be filled. And, as I waited, the universal comment was that this is a pharmacy to be avoided entirely. There are other pharmacies throughout Marin County; and, the lack of service at this location will not be endured by me any longer even though I have been a customer for a very long time. I also see that many other persons share in my frustrations. Perhaps CVS needs to read the reviews and make some well need changes immediately. Follow up on April 6, 2016. I did write to the executive branch of CVS after the above episode. Thereafter CVS called twice to make sure that I knew that the prescription had been filled. I also received contact from not only the Senior Supervisor but also from the District Manager for CVS-----this contact has been most appreciated as it is clear that Senior Management understands the concept of customer service and caring for the needs of the customer. I am a very unhappy (now former customer), since after today I will NEVER set my foot in the Greenbrae CVS store again. When I came in to the store today I first printed out the special offers or discounts that I may receive on the numerous items I am buying today. One cupon had an offer of buy one get one for free, which would be honored when I presented it at the checkout. There was very little or no stock available on a few items. They had a special on minerals, buy one get one free, that I decided to take advantage of, in addition to the coupon. At checkout I presented the coupon to the checker, he said it was already done which I thought was unusual since I presented it just then before he totaled everything up. I had specifically gotten two of something where I then will get one for free. Well, I got my receipt and before I left the store I checked it and as I thought, the coupon was NOT honored. I can not believe how rudely I was treated by the manager? Jose, older man, no explanation, no apology. After all, the employee made the mistake, even though I pointed out the coupon. I am not unhappy with the young man who checked me out, mistakes happen. It was the rude, older gentleman that had to fix the mistake. He was extremely rude. I did not complain about having to line up and wait again, to get this corrected, so he should have been more oriented to expedite this in a polite manner. I do want to add that there was two employees in the cosmetic section that offered their assistance if needed, they were very nice. For the last 2-3 years I have NOT used CVS Pharmacy for my prescriptions due to the poor customer service there. I use Walgreens, and I highly recommend Walgreens Pharmacy. I have been coming to this pharmacy for years and my kids used to love it, but the last 2 times its been a nightmare. I dropped off my kid's prescription only to be told it was written wrong and the pharmacist had to review. I called my Dr. to followup which he did. I was told to stand at the consultation desk but no one came up to me for 30+ minutes. After asking me what I was waiting for, I said I had been directed to the counter. Round and round and long story short is that the pharmacy didn't have the product in stock - not that the script was wrong. After several more illogical conversations and strange lectures and half apologies the script was filled but in a form my child wasn't able to take. Why there wasn't more dialog with the doctor for the 3 times he called on alternatives (there are several) and I wasn't told *immediately* that they didn't have in stock so I could try elsewhere, I don't know. There seems to be an attitudinal barrier in serving customers; everyone behind the counter is busy doing other things and only 1 pharmacist is there to troubleshoot? I hate coming here now and I'm looking now for a new pharmacy. read more

I was just on the phone with them. After five minutes of waiting, I was told that there were two people ahead of me on the phone. I waited for a full half an hour after that, hung up and redialed only to find that they must have forgotten me, because their 24-hour pharmacy is closed until nine. I'm desperately trying to get my medication so my autoimmune condition doesn't start making me bleed again, but I guess I'm just going to have to live with it and not eat until tomorrow. Really pushed me into writing this review. First for me. Never felt so uncomfortable shopping with my family my wife and I have stopped in a total of four times and that will be our last. We stop at this location because it is convenient after work for last minute things or emergency drug store items feminine products, memory cards, snacks ect. Of the times we have shopped this location it's usually after work around 8pm. Not five minutes into each visit we have some middle Age guy following us going out of his way to guest service us aka make sure we are not stealing things. We know this interaction because both my wife and I work retail along side assets protection. The first time understood but not knowing your routine guest and continuously profiling people and following guest while they shop is unprofessional and sends an old message. We don't want your business. WELL message received. New to Marin. This is an unfortunate welcome. read more

Unfortunately, I need to go to the pharmacy once a month to pick up three different medications. There seems to be a problem every single time. The lines are long, employees lack training and can't pronounce the names of the medications. To make matters worse the parking lot is under repair and parking is difficult. I'm switching pharmacies as soon as possible. read more

I've gotten my prescriptions filled at this pharmacy for years (as in 20+) and have had some issues but no ongoing problems or complaints. Recently though this pharmacy has been a DISASTER! It feels like most months it takes them about 5 days to fill my prescriptions. Really, 5 days?? This month they processed them through my old insurance and when I called to ask I was told ' looks like you have new insurance..' Ummm, nope. Had the same all year, not sure what their computers defaulted to. I've had my MD mark do no substitute on my RX and they've been filled with a different medication anyway. When I inquired I was told "Oh we were out of that brand so the pharmacist filled it with ---instead." No sure what part of DO NOT SUBSTITUTE isn't understood but it's pretty clear. Had I not checked they would have basically sent me home with a new medicine I'm not prescribed. Then there's this whole issue of their auto-refills, script sync and faxing MDs for refill requests. No matter how many times I've told them I DO NOT want anything to happen with my prescriptions unless I initiate it, they do it anyway. Apparently NO doesn't mean NO! read more

Pharmacy is the WORST! The employees are rude and unprofessional. Clearly they need a course in customer service and professionalism at the work place. They are busy chatting amongst themselves about their personal lives that they do not care about the customers who have been waiting for over 30 mins. They seem to be completely miserable in their jobs and based on conversation, their lives as well. These employees looked older so I am unsure why they still act and talk like high schoolers. Me and my friend we talking and he thought I was talking to him he didn't let me buy anything and called the cops on me!!!! Really!!!! What an asshole I waited for the cops because I did nothing wrong when the cops got there they thought it was a waste of there time they could be handling a real emergency so I just left with a grin on my face so that bald manger could see I think it's because I'm Hispanic I always got this vibe. This review only has to do with the restrooom at this location. Some months ago I overheard the manager telling a customer that the restroom was out of order, and they should use the one a 'ways down the mall. Possibly a month ago I saw that it was still marked "out of order", and I asked the manager about it. He said that the problem was not simple plumbing but "pipes" outside the building. I mentioned that this was too bad, but his customer base does skew to older people who often need a restroom with some urgency. He agreed, and told me that actually it is their obligation legally to have a restroom available. It seems as if, no matter how challenging this pipes issue is, it could and should have been corrected by now. read more

As a mom of a young child with many health problems, I have visited many pharmacies in the Bay Area at all hours of the day/week. I have the experience to say that this pharmacy has hands-down the worst service I've ever encountered at a pharmacy. Here are things I've encountered at this CVS pharmacy: 1. Long lines. Every time. (Perhaps most frustrating about this is seeing the staff behind the counter chatting with one another while a line of patients trying to pick up prescriptions forms down the aisle.) 2. Unfilled prescriptions despite doctors calling in prescriptions in advance. They do not fill a prescription until you come in. Maybe this is so you will waste time prowling the aisles with your whiny sick child and spend more money in their store to assuage your child? 3. Blaming the unfilled prescriptions on the doctors... or the patients... or the parents... or the person who took the message.... or the person who forgot to check the messages... but never the pharmacists. And never an apology. 4. Incorrect information about medications - I was told to keep a medication in the refrigerator, and then when I spoke with a doctor and read the directions, I was told this was wrong! 5. Surly service. No apologies for the wait, no attempts to change any system. 6. No attempt to right their wrongs. read more

After receiving a coupon for photo processing I decided to get my Christmas photos here. When I picked up the photos, they had been processed with about 1/4" cut off the perimeter of the pictures. The picture I downloaded was different than what was printed. When I complained to the manager, Jose, he first seemed to imply I had edited the submitted picture. I explained the picture shown on my computer of the order differed from what was printed, he just shrugged and said they only print what is sent to them in the computer. No apology or offer to redo. Don't process pictures here unless you don't mind them automatically changing what you submit. read more

After a long day of heavy hittin construction "real nam shot" the last thing I want to do is go tampon shopping for my girl, but since I love her to death I decide to stop on here and get her a box. I find the store to be well organized and clean but with the WORST personnel I have yet to encounter. With absolutely no exception, they are rude, unhappy and angry people. I actually saw two employees in a screaming match with a manager and I watched a cashier angrily tell an older customer she couldn't use her coupon because she hadn't given it to her before her purchases were rung up. Her words were "not now, you're not using it". The poor customer was so confused. Seriously, these people need to get jobs they like. Yikes. read more

The manager was called, who then walked to the fridge to check, came back, and looked disappointed to inform the cashier that I was right. Wow, how can one pharmacy employee so many rude people with an "I could care less attitude"? I'm referring to most everyone working in the pharmacy AND in the store itself. I can't think of anything positive to say about this drug store except that it's on the way home when we're at our place in Marin. Today's negative experience was the end of my patience with the inefficiency, rudeness, and glib performance in the pharmacy. I'm looking for a different store where people appreciate my business and have enough respect to at least try to get it right! I just moved all my prescriptions to Scripdash. They filled my prescriptions promptly and flawlessly. CVS NEVER could fill my prescriptions reliably. It seemed to always take more than one trip to CVS to get my prescriptions filled. I'd get endless texts and phone calls saying my prescriptions we're ready and when I went to pick them up, either it WASN'T ready, or they'd fill them separately and I'd have to make multiple trips. Bad. Scripdash got off to a great start. They didn't have to be that good to be better. read more

This pharmacy is always packed. Wait times are ridiculous. I had to wait 20 minutes today to drop off and there was no one in line in front of me. Then had to get in a different line to pick up. They are not helpful when you have a coupon for a RX. Individually most people are nice but by the time a lot of people finally get waited on their patience has expired. read more

Before beginning the editing of photos at the machine, I verified with a manager the coupon price quoted to me by the CVS corporate office, which office provided me with a coupon code. Lerma, the manager, authorized the coupon price and even wondered whether the lower sale price that had been offered the week before was still in effect. I proceeded to edit over 200 photos, but before processing the order I asked to speak with the manager once more. Desi appeared, since Lerma had left for the day. Desi refused to honor the authorization by Lerma. I had spent three hours with careful editing and was disturbed with his nonchalant dismissal of any argument I offered. Finally, after considerable back-and-forth repetition of statements, and even after having walked away from me twice, Desi suggested I proceed with the order. For some reason the touch screen was not responding and I had to wait until Desi finished with a customer. He had seen me struggling with the machine but offered no assistance. He casually told me it was necessary to use the mouse. He asked for my CVS card and as he rang up the order said, "You're lucky, this is, in fact, on already on good sale," showing me the figure of $24+, which would have been less than the $26, plus tax, that I anticipated. He handed me the receipt and began barraging me in a friendly, intimate way about the vacation represented in the photos, etc. I felt he was attempting to make amends for his prior poor behavior and felt willing to forget about reporting him. When I was a fair distance from the store I looked at the receipt more carefully before putting it away and discovered that the price charged was almost double what it should have been and returned to the store, telling Desi there was a mistake. He said he would call another manager, for whom I waited. Carlos appeared and I had to repeat the events once again, explaining at the same time that I found it perplexing that I had had to spend so much time with this issue, when it had already been resolved by a previous manager whose authorization was not honored by either of her successors. Carlos in a haughty, condescending manner said he would "take care of it this time," but that online prices are never honored at the store. When I commented what Desi had done was not honest--deceptive, in fact-- Carlos ignored my statement, rather than, at least, apologizing for "a misunderstanding," which it clearly was not. His reaction to me was demeaning and, in fact, unprofessional, not worthy of what his position warranted. CVS at this location has had excellent employees, but they do not remain long. I'm not surprised. I'm not likely to visit this store again, unless these two employees decide, as well, to leave or are asked to leave. read more

Tonight came in and had to go through two people to "find" prescription (sitting in the middle of a stack of unattended faxes). Waited 20 minutes during which two different people botched the order. What a tragedy to no longer have Longs....I don't just miss the old store, I am tired of a shrinking inventory (and that which remains ranges from marginal to flat out garbage), increasing prices, that asinine card you must have in order to get the better price-I know you can use your phone number, but the entire concept stinks-and just the whole confused re-done interior. The summer season always meant a great variety of merchandise that was uniquely Marin; now it's almost exclusively China. The employees are miserable working at CVS. They are unhelpful and rude. I had just gotten off from work, and I wanted to go home. Waiting in line I asked the cashier to call another person to open a register. She turned a deaf ear and ignored me. I got her name and called CVS to complained.
