Trying to call the pharmacy... can't speak to a person. It's all "virtual assistant" and super frustrating. Even when I got to a human at the store they could not transfer me to the pharmacy. The pharmacist misread the instructions from the doctor and gave my son double the prescribed dose. My son took the doses per instructed for two days and noticed there are not enough tablets. I went back and waited for 30 minutes in line to see why there is a discrepancy between the instructions and the number of tablets and the pharmacist won't even come out and talk to me directly. The person at the counter gave me the instructions from the doctor on a piece of paper and said they filled it correctly, and when I talked to the doctor he said the pharmacist didn't read the instructions correctly. He walked me through what was written and it was obvious that the pharmacist misread simple instructions. This is a basic and dangerous mistake. What is more disturbing is she did not even double check when I went to ask about it. Professional negligence. I am reacting this way because the drug was for a kid. Hopefully they will look into this to avoid mistakes like this. I will stay away from this pharmacy from now on. read more

My friends and I decided to go look in this store and actually shop. We had stuff in our hands and wanted to go see the valentines section, we got exited and ran to the section but during it a woman who was working their screamed at us and called us names. She said, we needed to leave immediately, she then pointed to the door and said the door is that way. Honestly very rude, WE WERE PAYING CUSTOMERS!!! My friend then asked if she could still buy her stuff, and the staff member told her to quickly pay at the self checkout place and then to leave. Her voice was so rude, were are nice people and should have just been told to not run; I do understand that working in these places might be tough because of teenagers, but she would have never used a tone on an adult. When I rang the bell for customer help at the Allergy cabinet, he was there in a split second to open the cabinet, then when I walked up to the front of the store to pay, he magically appeared again to ring me up. e gotten deliveries via the CVS app on MANY occasions to which she replies "you can't have , we don't deliver". I al looking at the APP and at my credit card where I had been charged but she just refuses to bend. I mean who am I going to believe, the CVS supervisor who tells me it doesn't exist or my clearly lying eyes that actually SEE the charges and the order. I ask to speak to another manager because talk to an unpleasant brick wall is producing no results. She says " he's on lunch" he might be back in about an hour. I give her my info and terminate the call at which point I realize by the time this person gets back from lunch CVS will be closed. So forget it I'll just go down there. When I get there I ask the you man behind the counter about it and lo and behold my order is SITTING THERE ALL BAGGED UP waiting to have someone notify the delivery driver. He calls Angelique up to help him check out the order and I say " This is the order you said didnt exist with the ORDER number I gave you repeatedly." To which she says "You said delivery...." Yeah I did say delivery which is why the tag had the little car on it that INDICATES for delivery. I ask to speak to her manager so I can get this worked out and I am told by her that he won't be in until the morning...the same manager she assured me would call me back in hour WASN'T EVEN THERE. So she lied just to brush me off a not to have to deal with finding my order. If she had exerted a modicum of effort or cared even the slightest bit she would have found my order, I could have come down to get it which I had to anyway and that would have been that. Instead she chose to not look, not care, be an absolutely wretched example of Customer Service for the poor kid who had to ring me up while she is yelling about basically how right she was. So interacting with people isn't for everyone, and she is a perfect example of who you DON'T want facing the public. read more

Just don't bother. Tried to get a vaccine here which I am definitely covered for. The woman (Kyla) at the counter came back and told me I'm not covered and would have to pay out of pocket. This led me to have to call the insurance company literally an hour to get through to them. They told me they submitted it as a pharmacy prescription instead of a vaccine service and that's why it was rejected. Untrained staff, seems like they should know how to get it approved by insurance. Done with this location. read more

After having an especially stressful morning, I visited this store late yesterday afternoon to spend my $10. CVS credit. The first thing on my list was liquid body wash and second was toothpaste. I searched through their body washes and didn't find a fragrance I liked then reluctantly settled on a double pack of Sensodyne Pronamel Toothpaste. When I got to the counter the cashier asked me if I had found everything I had been looking for--a standard question cashiers are trained to ask. I started to tell him yes, but said no. "What were you looking for?" I told him body wash but that I didn't like any of the fragrances because too many of them contained coconut. I then told him I liked Dr. Teals but there was none. "Oh yes, we have that!" I then proceed to follow him to the soap section and at the end of that aisle were the Dr. Teal bath products. I chose one and a single tube of toothpaste and walked back to his register. I paid for my items and then asked him his name. "Craig, and I'm the new store manager." "And another thing Craig," I said," I appreciated that when I was in the other other line, you called the gentleman who was next and when he said he'd stay where he was, you called me over to your register." I was in another CVS store the day before when the cashier hollered down to the line I was in for the next customer to come, after I'd been in line behind a woman dealing with coupons for at least 10 minutes. I didn't hear him and the guys who had just arrived behind me got there first. We were looking to get the updated vaccine because I am leaving to a different country and we went to a lot of different locations and places but were impressed and very satisfied with the service from this particular location. We were put on a waitlist and were called when a spot opened up. So so thankful they were accommodating and had excellent customer service. read more

Now a CVS Pharmacy. Today I decided to go into this store as I needed Christmas stamps, and didn't feel like going to the Post Office or Safeways. I will not make that mistake again. As I was walking into the store, one of the managers was going after a woman who may have been an employee, asking where she was going. She snarled back "I'm cashing my check and picking up my son". I should have known at this point not to continue, but I guess I really wanted those Christmas stamps. Once inside the store was a ball of confusion, but unlike the Temptations song, it was not at all entertaining. Two angry cashiers were cussing at each other demanding to go on break.. "F.. you, I got here first." "I don't give a s...", "There are no other f-ing employees" and so on. I made a trip around the store, and sure enough there was nobody else working (and it wasn't like there were so many customers that they had that as an excuse). I held my nose, went to a checkstand that seemed to be shorter, witnessed an argument between the cashier and a customer, and asked for two books of stamps. Obviously, English wasn't this cashier's first language, so it took a little back-and-forth before I finally got my two books. I once worked at this store, about 15 years ago, and it's really sad to see what it has degenerated into. Not that we were all angels, but this type of crap would never have been tolerated. I don't know what it is about the pharmacies in Northern California but they all lack some serious customer service skills and it seems to me pure laziness. The pharmacist's make pretty good money to be lazy and lacking in friendliness. I I had to transfer all me prescriptions from Rite Aid to CVS. I like CVS I was okay with it. Till it took at least two weeks if not more because of right now they still do not have all my prescriptions transferred. And I have gone in twice and called twice about it and all they tell me oh it takes a long time to enter everything in and then I asked well then how can I get my medications if I can't get them filled? She didn't have an answer.. really? What if people depend on their meds and get sick or die? Seriously? I had to contact my doctors to put in new prescriptions to the pharmacy because they are so incredibly incompetent to transfer all my medications. My blood pressure goes up every tine I have to go pick up a prescription. There is always a problem. Recently, they told me they were ordering my prescription and they will let me know when it comes in... days pass, a week passes nothing. I went in and they tell me they don't have it but I can go over to another CVS to pick it up. Ughhhh! Why didn't you tell me that a week ago? Please help me help you.. jeez!!! Janet Chaudhuri, who is the Sales Manager of CVS in San Rafael, at Las Gallinas definitely isn't an ideal representative of CVS. After my unpleasant experience with her today, I think I will consider taking my business elsewhere. She undoubtedly needs serious customer service training, apart from her lack of knowledge in store policies. She has a natural way of making a customer feel unimportant! I have been shopping at this CVS since it was Long's drugs in 1986. My only complaint is the very loud and rude Clerk. I heard him yell when I was at the back of the store selecting a cold drink. He kept yelling NEXT COME ON UP. When I was about to pull out my $20.00 to for my items he pulled it out of my wallet. Management needs to discipline him. read more

If I have my medication prescriptions sent here ahead of time, it's not a hassle at all. The pharmacists are friendly and very efficient in how they explain instructions and side effects of the medication. However, never come with a paper prescription here. It will take FOREVER to get filled. Even wandering down the aisles to waste time doesn't pass enough time to wait for the prescription to be filled. Besides the pharmacy, sometimes it's fun to look at their holiday section. Usually right after a holiday or seasonal month, there are deep discounts to be had. I've picked up a few great planters here as the summer months end. I've also picked up some candies for 80% off after Valentine's Day or Christmas. Oddly enough, they have reasonable prices on Wild Bird Seed that I used to fill my bird feeders. Today I went in for a Costco-size bag of cough drops to help with the flu that struck me. At 5.99, I got their CVS brand that helped soothe my throat with their minty goodness. I was fortunate to be here right at opening when the cashiers weren't overwhelmed (otherwise the wait can be a nightmare). I was in and out in 10 minutes. read more

The absolute worse cvs store! Never have I encountered such a rude cashier as i did in this store. After scanning my care card he literally threw it back onto the counter.. this was after my terrible crime of simply saying hello. when I asked of my care credit could be applied.. he barked it was already done and to put my card into the machine and pay!!! One of the worst CVS's. I had an appt at 1pm for a Covid booster. I came a little early and was told that the pharmacist was at lunch and that she would return in a half hour. I came back in a half hour and waited another 20 minutes. Another person had a 12:30 appointment and he was waiting as well. Finally, the pharmacist showed up gave him his shot and his arm began to bleed. Obviously he was concerned. The pharmacist said she'd never had this happen. I almost left but stayed and when it was my turn, she went to take my temperature, but the batteries in the thermometer were dead. She just put the thermometer away and gave me the booster. No one ever checked on either one of us for the required 10 minutes to wait. On top of this the place was dirty. Go somewhere else! read more

Out of tissues, are you F ing kidding me. So the last time I visited this place prior to tonight, it was because my husband had a hankering for root beer floats, and this CVS is conveniently located to me. After waiting in line FOR F-ING EVER and then being rung up for over $12 for a carton of ice cream and a 2-liter of root beer, I was like, forget this place, I am NEVER coming back. Well obviously I'm a glutton for punishment because I've had a cold and ran out of tissues, and again, this place IS conveniently located, which is the ONLY good thing about it. So I ran over for a box of tissues and THEY DIDN'T HAVE ANY. This full-size, and supposedly "full service", drug store, did not have any boxes of tissues to be purchased. I was, and still am, just absolutely floored and aghast. How does a drug store not have TISSUES? It's not like I went there looking for a Faberge egg or something. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect to find tissues at a full-size drug store. Oh well, if they HAD had any, they probably would have cost like $15 a box. So here's a riddle for you: what do you call a store that is WORSE than worthless, because it stocks barely anything and the things it does sell are marked up 200%? Well, I call it a blight on my neighborhood and I will now, legitimately NEVER EVER EVER set foot in there again. Worst. Store. Ever. read more

Huge line every time I'm here. I dread this place like the plague, let's hope I don't actually catch the plague while I wait in line! Last time I had to pick up a script the line was huge and there were only 2 employees working. While I'm waiting in line I notice they call out a last name. The person whose name was called comes running from the front of the store back to the pharmacy, goes to the front of the line and pays. I'm standing in line with about 8 other folks. Not cool!!! They call names out when scripts are ready but there is no separate check out for them, therefore they get in front of everyone in line! Terrible system! The entire line was furious every time this happened. When I finally got my turn I politely asked for the manager. Nora came out from the back. I told her what was happening, how long I had waited and that the only reason I was here today was because I came in the day before on my lunch break and had to leave without scripts because the line took too long. I told her I felt bad for the 2 employees working, they were so stressed. Nora proceeded to tell me that she is fully aware of the problem and hates it. She went on to say that the store currently has HALF the staff it did two years ago because the owner won't hire more help, he's too cheap!!! I thanked her for her honesty and told her to hang in there! So, there you have it. The owner doesn't care so it won't improve. Very sad. I'll be taking my business elsewhere. read more
