Strictly for the pharmacy. I am terminally ill, so I get a prescription for pain pills, along with steroids and chemotherapy. My doctor sent my prescription Tuesday. Called yesterday to see if they were ready. Nope. The tech then said "oh we'll call them tomorrow." Called my doctor today and said the pharmacy hasn't reached out, but she approved everything. I go there today. The guy says "oh we got into contact with your doctor, but the pharmacist needs progress reports. It's after 6 on a Friday during a holiday weekend. REALLY?! It's not a pharmacists job to say if you can have your meds or not, especially after being approved. I'm sick and need my medications. After this, I'll be switching over to walgreens. The clerk had refused to sell a drink to the lady in front of me cuz she couldn't figure out how to ring it up that's when I knew I should have driven a little further and gone to the one on edinger. I was going to switch my prescription over to this CVS, because it's closer to me than Walgreens, but after calling in and being put on hold for over 5 minutes, I decided that I would rather drive further than deal with this type of service. I do feel that being put on hold for over 5 minutes is a long time based on the service that I receive at Walgreens. Never have I been put on hold that long. FYI this isn't my first experience with them. I had my son's prescription filled here and when I came to the window to pick up the medication the pharmacist told me to come back in an hour because she was the only one there. If you are going to run a Pharmacy right please have more than 1 person on staff to fill prescriptions if you expect to get more customers. read more

Every time I go here I wonder why I went here. I go to a tiny Walgreens 2 miles away. They always, ALWAYS have the medication I need. This CVS not only rarely has what I need, but it takes days for them to get it. They carry a brand of one medication that I prefer, but since they can't actually get it within 5 days, efforts to get it always fail. It's not an uncommon med either. And they've never offered to, say, order it in for next month, call a different store, or do anything that would allow me to buy my medication at CVS. They just don't seem to care. They do have nicer pharmacy techs than they used to, but still if I can't get my medication they aren't much use to me. I have chronic health problems and spend hundreds/month on medication, none of which goes to CVS because they just can't seem to get it together. I would never buy stock in this company. read more

I was here yesterday, looking for some new products on the makeup aisle. There was a lady putting makeup products away on the makeup aisle and she was muttering to herself the ENTIRE time about how long this was going to take and how much she hates her job, etc. I was there for 15 minutes and couldn't take it anymore. She was also cursing left and right. SO unprofessional and made me uncomfortable as a shopper. Seems to be my general experience with this place, pretty bad customer service. So I called Pharmacy and was put on hold for 40 minutes and nobody ever answered, I hung up and called back but this time to asked to speak with a manager. I was told there was no manager available, and they directed me to a supervisor. This lady should not be in a supervisor position with such a shitty attitude and disregard for customer service. The only thing I had asked was if i could get assistance and to make matters worse , her reply was oh well they are busy. As a supervisor, not manager, her response could of been a lot more professional, she could of said one moment while I find someone, one moment, ill see what i can do, I apologize, how may I help you? A friend of mine got his prescription filled there. They did not tell him they put 2 different kinds of pills in one bottle. The same prescription but different manufacturer. He called the store to ask a pharmacist. He was on hold for 30 minutes. he hung up the first time after 10 minutes. Then a woman came on and kept asking him to spell his name over and over,. then he was put on hold again. After a LONG TIME...20 MINUTES, He needed to know if it was okay to take these. The person almost put him on hold AGAIN but he finally got a pharmacist who apologized and explained the meds. What an ordeal. BAD customer service in the pharmacy and the staff is not very friendly. i prefer the CVS on Springdale. MUCH better customer service and more communicative, professional pharmacy staff.There are a few in the pharmacy that are friendly and a few that are definitely not! read more

GREEDY AND CORRUPT. CVS advertises that it will take 5-7 business days to get results... It took us 10 days... They have known for weeks that they are backlogged and yet they continue to cram people in to administer the test ... they should NOT take so many appointments to begin with if it is going to take so damn long on the other side... It is better that we deal with the frustration of being unable to find an appointment than deal with the anxiety of waiting past a week for the results... THE WORST PART OF IT IS that THERE IS **NOBODY** TO TALK TO... The customer service number for CVS Covid testing is a FRAUD. They leave you on hold for over TWO HOURS and then they HANGUP on you... We just want to simply talk to real live human being just to see if it is even being processed, if maybe there was some sort of error, or just to get ANY piece of information but there is not ONE live human being that we can talk to... They say they are trying their best... I doubt that... It is all about getting as much insurance money on the front end as possible and who gives a @&ck how long it takes for results. There is not ONE THING the customer can do about... CVS should know the immense stress and anxiety some people have while waiting for results... If we knew it would take so long we would have looked to other places... We have since learned of other nonCVS locations to get tested with much quicker results... We are now wiser... There is a reason why ALL locations for CVS reviews on Yelp have less than 2 stars... Their problems with Covid testing is part of a SYSTEMIC problem of low quality service... Before all this I didn't need to deal with CVS... but now I see how this is a company to be avoided!!! By the way, we took at another nonCVS location the same nasal swab test FIVE DAYS after the one we took at CVS and still we got the results more quickly!! read more

My friend standing with me whispered to me, "uhm... aren't they supposed to call you?" but i just dismissed it. I went here yesterday night and was looking for some dog food manager was fallowing me around like if I was going to steal something. Then when I go to pay for the stuff I got the most rude cashier. The pharmacy is always understaffed!!! A wait is fine, but I have found sometimes it is as bad as 20 minutes just to talk to someone! The technicians are very friendly and professional, but the errors are far too common. When dealing with prescription medications, attention to detail should be the highest priority!!!!! Past occurrences: *I spoke with 4 pharmacy technicians on 2 separate occasions, that assured me the menopause pills they gave me were BC pills (true story). *Charged me $80/month for a medication for about a year (despite having insurance) and every time the technicians said it's not covered. A year later, someone in the pharmacy said all that was missing was a certain authorization!!!! Recent occurrences: *Often cannot refill prescriptions due to being out of the medication, but can't take the refill RX slip early, because it's not time to refill, which is extremely frustrating. *Spent 10+ minutes with a friendly technician, asking her to please change my RX back to the original medication as my doctor doesn't want me on the generic due to the pills not being identical (generic only has to have 80% of the same as name brand, according to my doctor). She told me it would be ready the next day by 11am, which wasn't a big deal. So I came back, after receiving the text confirming it was ready (at 4pm). I waited patiently for 20 minutes, and get to the window only for he technician to say "we don't have that ready for you". As a local and small business owner myself, I know how harsh reviews can ruin a reputstion but I think it's important that someone from CVS corporate knows what's going on so can learn from these complaints, limit their liability, ans to make their pharmacy better for the clients and less stressful for the understaffed and sometimes undertrained technicians. read more

This is the worst CVS that I have ever been to. I honestly don't know how they stay in business? When I first moved here, my new Dr asked me for a list of my prescriptions. I went into this CVS and asked for a list, the guy in the Pharmacy Dept said, "No, we don't do that". The Pharmacist Ms V. Vu is the RUDEST, most unprofessional, pharmacist that I have ever dealt with. I picked up 4 prescriptions for my daughter who was sick, Ms Vu said, "Maybe I will call your daughter because you probably can't remember these instructions"... implying that I have memory loss? Another time they called me that my prescription was ready, but when I went in, they said they ran out of the medication and gave 4 of my pills to another customer, so would I come back next week for the 4 pills that I was short. Weird. The next time I saw Ms Vu she screamed at the customer she was checking out. It was then that I transferred my prescriptions, and my family's prescriptions, to another pharmacy that treats us nicely, and is helpful. I don't recommend this CVS, unfortunately. read more

This is a nightmare of a place!!! My husband has several health issues with many prescriptions. They haven't gotten their act together so he can have test strips or insulin! This is after the Dr's. office has called 3 times!!! After several attempts to straighten this out they refused to sell it to us at a retail cost! Visited this location many times before, staff is ehh at most. But I did notice when I was there on 2/15 I was greeted by bald employee who was really nice and helpful. Although when I was checking out it seemed like this poor guy was by himself. When I was waiting in line ready to checkout there was about 4 people in line ahead of me. So the bald gentlemen calls for back up over the intercom. Some big blonde lady appears and looks at the line and then asks the bald gentlemen "what do you need?". He needs help lady! Get back there and help him, unbelievable. The lack of sympathy that CVS gives their employees is shameful. Seems to be a trend at every CVS store I visit. Anyway this gentleman's name was Amer. I don't think I'll be returning to this CVS any time soon if I can help it. I've been here a couple times and noticed they never seem to have what I need in stock, but up until yesterday I had never had to actually interact with an employee. I went to CVS around 5pm, bought some hair products, Easter basket goodies, and a 6 pack of beer. Only the self checkout lanes were open. I waited in line for 5 or so minutes until one was available, I rung the beer up first and the machine prompted something to the extent of "that item requires assistance, set item aside and continue scanning the items" I looked around and didn't see anyone to help me, so I continued ringing up my items. Once I rang everything up, I stood there and had to wait until an employee came over to check my ID. Once the woman, who I later found out had a name pronounced "Eww" (I have no idea how to spell it because she wasn't wearing a name tag) came over I showed her my ID, and rather than apologizing and informing me of company/store policy she snapped at me, acted completely put out, and very rudely said "you can't ring that up here! Pick that up!" (pointing to my bag full of items) she grabbed the beer and walked to a register. I told her there was no sign stating alcohol couldn't be rung up at the self help register and very rudely she informed me "everybody knows that!". Uhh no they obviously don't. I however was informed that it was my responsibility to know what I can and can't scan at checkout, and it's my job to go search for someone who works there to come to the registers... All I wanted was an "I'm sorry, let me ring those items up for you" not a lecture on how I should have known better. "Eww" should really be retrained on customer service or thrown in the back where she would have more limited contact with customers because she is REALLY going to cost this place business with her attitude. read more

This is absolutely the worst pharamcy EVER!!! Every time I call I'm on hold for at least 15 mins. They always seem like they cant handle the volume of customers they have. When I do finally get through they don't do their jobs correctly. They need to hire more employees to handle the workload or more competent people. read more

Inept would not quite describe the pharmacy in this store. Let us start with the basics. Communication with pharmacists and assistants is nearly impossible. They get my prescription wrong every single time. When you ask about your doctor sending the prescription, they look and look and look and they tell you they do not have it. After you become frustrated and a bit upset, somehow they find it. It is horrible. Do not think of signing up for their automated text for when your prescriptions are ready because they will keep texting you about picking up prescriptions you already have. I do not know how they corporate office is unaware of the disaster this place is. The fact that they are dispensing controlled substances to the public is outrageous, mind boggling. They are simply awful. I keep giving them a chance and this time I had it. They had me on an automatic refill I clearly said I did not want and they obviously charged my insurance for it... when I called they say, oh yeah, it says here you do NOT want the refill, but no explanation as to why they keep doing it! And calling me to pick it up!!! Someone do something about this place. People who can communicate clearly would be a plus, not just someone who knows chemical compounds. There should be so much more required of someone who is supposed to help you with your health! read more

I stopped by the CVS store at the corner of Goldenwest Ave and McFadden Ave in Huntington Beach, CA to get a flu shot. After standing in line for many minutes (perhaps 10-15 minutes) while the only two employees in the pharmacy helped one customer go through a handful of insurance cards to find one that "worked", a pharmacy employee acknowledged me. I said I'd like a flu shot and handed the employee my insurance card. The employee took a few seconds and then spoke with the other pharmacy employee. At the end of their conversation, I asked how long it would take for a flu shot. I was told at least a 30 minute wait. The employee never did figure out how much the flu shot would cost me. My recommendation to this store pharmacy is ADD A SIGN TO THE "FLU SHOT AVAILABLE HERE SIGN" THAT INDICATES THE WAIT TIME!!! It really is very sad that I pay so much money for health insurance here in the United States and it doesn't even cover the cost for a pharmacist to have any common sense! read more

When we were browsing the makeup section, the manager had a real stick up her ass attitude as well and was generally unhelpful. My mom and I bought some makeup today and while she was taking time to read and doublecheck the receipt because her vision is getting really blurry even with her glasses. The cashier, some young Asian student named Lanny probably in highschool, had a real attitude about inserting the card at the bottom instead of repeating it politely and looked to the side to curse "Jesus Christ" under her breath to her coworker and neither stepped forward to help my mom. Lanny had no reason to be in a rush, it was like 2:00 pm, she had no customers behind us yet she was both ride and unprofessional. She avoided looking at us in the eye afterwards. We were in a hurry so I just threw her a dirty look and left. This is not the first time, we've gotten such bad service from a CVS pharmacy and I would never return to this location or any other CVS. Go to Walgreens or any other drugstore, at least they know how to treat their customers right. read more
