Had a NYE emergency with an out of town family member running out of a critical prescription. I called this location late in the evening with little hope. Lexi, the pharmacist on duty, picked up my call for help and went over and beyond. She not only checked for stock but was able to confirm insurance coverage. I was able to pick up the prescription within 15 mins and averted a trip to the ER. While I was there at pick up, Lexi was again helping two other customers with their prescription - double checking their coverage and providing excellent customer service. Lexi's dedication and compassion should be applauded and rewarded. I hope CVS knows how valuable she is to their brand and to our community. read more

I feel like pharmacist hold us a hostage- we came to gay a prescription for my daughter and the pharmacy did not have the prescribed medication, but they told us that the urgent care needs to call pharmacy and ask for replacement. They went back and forth for 30 min, both refused to talk to each other. It is the only 24 hours CVS in our area, so we did not have any options for the same evening. This morning I'm at another urgent care and they confirmed that the pharmacy suppose to call the doctor to issue a replacement. Be aware of stubborn and not willing to to help pharmacists! read more

The Manager Albert and Hispanic woman in cosmetics are 1000% romantically involved and it shows. I recently had a unpleasant experience where the item I was trying to purchase was not ringing up at the clearance price that it was marked for. The woman in cosmetics was called to the front by the associate ringing me up. She came up from the back a long while later and her first words were "why did you call me up here what's the problem" the associate left it to me to tell her what the issue was and when I explained what was happening she said "great, it's on sale you got a deal what's the problem" the associate that was ringing me up made a face like 'yea this is how this woman is' and literally turned her back on me and started doing something else. I asked for a manager. The cosmetics girl kept repeating herself over and over asking what the problem was and that she didn't know why she was called up, I told her they called her up to verify the price was in fact clearance. She said if it's not ringing up as clearance then it isn't clearance. So I went to the area I got the product from and brought back the tag for the item which clearly showed the clearance price. By that time the manager Albert came from the back fixing his pants and sucking his teeth already visibly not concerned with the situation. The cosmetics girl was still like a broken record saying she didn't know what the issue was. I told her now that the manager was there I no longer needed her input and dismissed her from the situation. As she left she made a remark that she was going on lunch anyway, like anyone gave a damn. Mentally that idiot was already on lunch probably in the back with Albert securing her job. The other cashiers were well aware of the relationship with her and Albert by the disassociation they gave the issue. It's very obvious there is something more going on with those two for a nothing cosmetics dept girl to have that much sass and attitude she has to know her job isn't going to be jeopardized by speaking to a paying customer like that. I hope that woman is fired. People don't even want to step into businesses right now for many reasons so to be faced with unnecessary issues and then on top of that deal with extremely rude employees is so upsetting. There are people with social anxieties that wouldn't stand up for themselves in situations like this I mean for god sake we're in a damn pharmacy CVS! I will be contacting CVS corporate to see that this woman is trained properly or relieved of her duty because someone like that should not have a job dealing with the public. read more

This was the worst CVS pharmacy I have been to and I have been to plenty. First, parking is very challenging. It is in the same complex as the Whole Foods so expect to look around for the spot. And parking spaces are tiny. I was driving my sedan that day and some jerk in the huge SUV was taking up more that one space so I had to find other space next to smaller car. Next when I went inside, there was a sign says Covid 19, flu vaccine, appointment recommended. So I stood in the vaccine line thinking I get my booster. It did not say appointment REQUIRED. Then when my turn came, a skinny and old minority lady was like "You need an appointment." So I pointed out the fact that sign is very deceptive since it doesn't say required but says recommended. Then I asked if there's any appointment, then she goes, "look it up online." How rude!! Her connotation was that I was beneath her. Reason I was there was that I was told by my work that I could not come Into work unless I had a second booster. I drove my irritated behind to the CVS pharmacy in Pasadena and got accommodated. One of the few 24 hour pharmacies in the Los Angeles area. Which was a blessing when I ended up with a prescription from a visit to the ER too late to go to most pharmacies (plus one place I tried doesn't contract with my insurance company). Since the doctor told me I needed to start on the antibiotic ASAP as an alternative to being admitted (which would be a problem as I am entering the critical period of my training to restart my old job after a year on disability). Unfortunately the 201 bus that serves this location ceases operating in the early evening. The 603 runs later but is on Riverside. I am getting around with a walker so that kind of a schlepp was out of the question. A quick and fairly affordable taxi trip from where the 180 left me on Los Feliz was the solution. The pharmacist in a matter of minutes handled filling the prescription and even via my Extra Card got me a $2 discount on the hydrocortisone I also bought. What a relief! Thank you, CVS! read more

I would not typically leave a review for a retail pharmacy on Yelp, until there was a national shortage of my medication, and Jude in the pharmacy took the time to help me out. He knew that I hadn't had my medications in weeks. He gave me a breakdown of alternatives that he had in stock, including the brand name (instead of the generic) of my medication. He advised me to call my pharmacy benefits manager and ask for a one time exception to the rule. In the end, they were willing to do this and Jude and his team filled my prescription the same day. This may not seem like a big deal, but most retail pharmacies I called were not willing to spend the time Jude did helping me out in the midst of this shortage. I live in Silver Lake and as a local and a healthcare professional I'm happy to know we have such a great pharmacy close by. read more

This review is only for the pharmacy. Do NOT come here if you need ADHD medication - they will not treat you like a patient. The pharmacist immediately had a judgmental demeanor when she saw my script, and seemed to hint that my need for this ADHD medication was for illicit reasons. She rudely asked why my phychiatrist was located in the next city over (he's been my psychiatrist for years - why ask?), dramatically inspected the script and paper it was on for at least 3 minutes as if it was fake, and told me matter-of-factly that the medication was on back order. When I asked why and when I could expect the next shipment of medication, she said she had no idea when it would be available again ("maybe months"), that I would just have to wait, and that I could not come back later and request my prescription slip back, even with a still-unfilled prescription. "If you leave it with us today, you better not come asking for it back later," she said. I get that maybe it was a busy night, maybe she had a bad day, but by the embarrassed look of the nice woman working the counter as she empathized with me, it just seems like this particular pharmacist is exceptionally rude on the regular. I consider myself to be someone who can "keep it together" in tense situations but that day I walked out of there and cried in my car. I was desperate. I had spent hours calling and visiting four other CVS locations that also said that the medication was on back order, with no estimation of delivery date and no helpfulness from the pharmacies beyond that vague info. Out of frustration, I agreed to leave my script with this CVS pharmacy. After several months of not receiving ANY news about my prescription on back order, I gave up and had to figure out another way, with another psychiatrist appointment, and a new script. This happened in February. In the months since, I have yet to receive ANY call or follow up, and for all I know based on other reviews, I'm sure the pharmacy lost my script by now too. Note: Like I mentioned above, this happened after I visited four other CVS locations who all claimed that this ADHD medication was on back order. Only one out of those four other CVS pharmacies actually spoke to me as if I was a patient, and not someone trying to procure ADHD medication for illicit reasons. The moment I mentioned the common ADHD med I was looking for, the employees over the phone switched to sounding dismissive and suspicious ("do you have a prescription?!"). I'm a young woman in my early 30s and was able to explore other options - could you even imagine how they'd treat a parent desperate to get their child much-needed ADHD meds? Just say the medication is on back order and that they have zero clue when it's coming in and be rude AF? Screw CVS. read more

I've been here twice in one week and I've had Eric & Albert ring up my items. They're both very sweet and helpful, this has become my favorite CVS store because of them! Although they have self check out, I prefer a person because self check out won't allow me to use my extra bucks without an employee allowing it by punching in numbers or swiping their employee card. Eric & Albert are both one of the best cashiers I've ever had, I go to CVS at least once a week for their sales & promotions that I can pair up with coupons. Thank you both for your patience! After my bad experiences with CVS on Cahuenga Blvd in Hollywood, who never had my prescription in full it was one here two there and the people who worked there were lazy and couldn't even be bothered to ask who was next in line was, you had to figure it out yourself. The pharmacy claimed to be open until 9:00pm but most of the time it closed at 8:00 or 8:30pm. Every time I picked up I had to go through the same misunderstanding every time until I would finally convince them that they did have my prescription, despite them telling me they didnt. So when a good friend of mine recommended this location, I was more than skeptical, I figured it was the same at every CVS but she persuaded me to come here, that they always had her prescription on time, there were rarely any long lines and that the staff actually cared about making sure everything was in order, what a change and a relief, I used to dread going to the Cahuenga location because it was so stressful , but I don't have that anxiety anymore, so a big thank you to the staff who really are a credit to the term 'customer service' read more

Typically, I would not be at the pharmacy at three in the morning. However, in this case, my migraine headache is just too much to deal with right now. I am really glad that this is the nearest CVS store to me, the one that is open 24/7! The pharmacist technician that helped me was very sweet. She was able to give me a few good recommendations as to what I might be able to do to relieve the pressure in my sinuses so I could get a little sleep. Being that it is 3 o'clock in the morning, there was no line of customers waiting to be helped. Called ahead to make sure they can take Canadian passport photos, which they confirmed, but when I got onsite, the dimensions they have programmed for this countries passport photos was incorrect. They didn't seem concerned about that at all. You know what's awesome? A bladder infection. It just about rivals an all-expense paid trip to Italy. It's fabulous, right? Ugh. Any girl who has ever found herself buckled over on her couch at 11:30pm can relate to the awesomage that is a friggin bladder infection. Well, this was me last week and it was not fun. I had been popping Advil like it was candy and still nada was helping relieve the pain. Since it was too late to call the Doc, I remembered those amazing little burgundy saviors known as AZO's and in the car we went to CVS to get some! Sure enough they had them, along with a giant jug of No Sugar Added Cranberry juice, along with a really cute red shower sponge. Hey, I can shop while in the midst of bladder pain. It's called multitasking, bitches ;) The guy who rang me up was super nice and the security guard even smiled at my pathetic state. All in all, an open 24 hour breeze and I am thankful to the CVS Gods for plopping this location down in the Lake de Silver. read more

I had to update. I ended up back at this pharmacy because of the 24 hour availability. I haven't had problems for the most part, but I keep it simple here and don't really ask questions. I get a call today from one of the pharmacist who seemed stressed, and said he's been trying to refill my prescription for 3 days and can't get a hold of the doctor. My prescription was already filled and I picked it up on Monday. I had to call them, because it is worrisome when the pharmacist doesn't look at the computer to check records. Of course they knew nothing and seemed confused. Come on. Mistakes here are not ok when you are dealing with medication. Check the screen and do your due diligence before bothering customers. Hire people who have common sense please. read more

I came to fill my script and I was told they only have 10 days worth and was promised the rest in 10 days. I came back after the 10 days and was told to wait till tomorrow. You will have the rest for sure. I came back a couple days later witch was today. After waiting 40 mins I was told my script is expired and they don't know what I'm talking about. I have never meet a group of employees that don't care about there job or the customers this bad ever in my life! On top of everything the head nurse was loudly giving out my health information regarding my meds in front of 20 other people! After I asked him nicely to plz keep his voice down when discussing my medication he apologized. Then after I waited another 15 mins While all the employees acted like I was a ghost. I had to pick up my kids so I asked for them to fix my issue and have my script ready tomorrow when I would be able to come back. Drove from the valley, while working for Lyft, and stopped in and asked if they had a restroom. They answered no. When I asked where the closest restroom was, they directed me to Gelson's. I then remembered that the 365, which I've shopped at before, had a restroom and when asked, they happily directed me to it. I hope the liars at CVS get sued when someone ends up with a urinary tract infection or gets seriously sick from their inhuman and dishonest practices. Gross. But no, he refused to do so. This asshole also made me wait over 40 minutes at 3am when there were no other costumers. I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS PHARMACY AGAIN. and I filed a complaint with CVS. I had the accident on August 21, 2021 Where I suffered three pelvic fractures, one femur and one fracture to the lower back from falling off of a balcony. I was rushed to the hospital where I had to undergo surgery and then be admitted. I was thrn transferred to rehab and it's been the most traumatic experience of my life. I've never made so many calls & had so many appointments in my life in regards to one thing! The most frustrating of it all is being in pain and being told I can't have pain medication. The pharmacist at CVS 2530 Glendale Blvd Gave me such a hard time because I'm 30 years old and she took me for someone wanting to use pain medication for enjoyment versus looking at my five fractures. She was so rude to me even though I went into the pharmacy in pain and almost crying in a wheelchair; Luckily for me my pain management receptionist defused the whole situation... I will be moving my business to another pharmacy. That pharmacist has an attitude issue and isn't very kind at all. She doesn't deserve to be working in customer service, especially dealing with people who need medication. If you ever have a hard time getting pain medication I'd recommend Dr. Villanueva in Glendale.
