One time I was at the pharmacy and there was a Karen who cut people and the customers stood up for themselves. The pharmacy staff was tried to service her asap to get rid her. Parking for the shopping center is tough. Every parking lot with Trader Joe's is an automatic cluster----. There's always a lady asking for money in front. Not a ding on cvs but the shopping center. It's private property, so they could get shooed off. They block the sidewalk making it not ADA. It's usually the grandma or mom sitting down. I've seen the mom with her three kids and partner with guitar at the national freeway exit and the kids are all elementary-middle school. One of them has an iPad. My bf offered to buy her something and she asked for the $60 formula. So he offered if there was anything cheaper and she asked for a bathrobe. He walked away and she was complaining how he didn't buy her anything. read more

Wow, just had a terrible interaction right now at this store with one of the Managers. I was waiting in line to check out at register 1, which was lit up as if it were open. There was an employee three registers over working on something, so I was waiting in line until she was done. In the interim, another gentleman entered the register area and asked if I needed help. I indicated that I needed help with checkout. He then looked at the registers and said that they are all down, but that he can help me at self check out. What I came to find out is that he meant he can walk me over to the self check out register. I asked him if the registers closed at a certain time at the store. You could tell he thought that was a ridiculous question and replied (with attitude) "no, they don't close" (mind you, he just told me they were closed but not WHY). I finished up my checkout and asked him again to get clarification at which point he says WITH EVEN MORE ATTITUDE b/c he thinks my question is silly, "no they don't close at a certain time. They are closed now because the money is being counted" Hmmm, so why not say that the first time when I asked because you KNEW what I was asking but I got the impression that you thought it was ridiculous so you were just going to make me fish for an answer or not give and clarity. Sir, Self checkouts are taking away jobs! I prefer not to go to self check out because a) I don't work at the store and b) it's my preference to go to the regular registers because soooo many times the advertised discounts don't show up and so I'd just prefer to have the cashier deal with it right then and there rather than having to find an attendant and then bring them over to the self check out areas (such a waste of time). The Manager was so rude and gave such attitude, and even said, "Ma'am, I'm not gonna go back-and-forth with you." and walked away. Seriously? How rude. I asked if his manager was there at which point he said that he was one of the managers. "Really?" I asked, "and this is how you treat a customer?" (if you had heard his sarcastic responses, you would understand more of the frustration for this review.) Large companies like CVS and grocery stores are asking us to pay premium and then do our own check out plus bag all of our stuff at the end as well... People are losing their jobs as a result!! To the manager of CVS, this is the underlying concern and the reason for my question. All you needed to do was apologize from the very beginning and just let me know that the registers were down temporarily due to money being counted. More than that, it was your attitude that was the most disrespectful and dismissive. This is where I go for my pharmacy and it just seems like they have tech issues frequently, they assure me my refills will be ready next month but when they're not I have to go and request it manually even though the prescription/order is in their system and they're surprised every time that it's not already put in and ready. Then I have to wait like half an hour while they fill it. I think this location has issues with their tech in the photo department too- many people were having issues and one of the machines doesn't work. So far I bet you're thinking this place stinks, but what really makes up for it is the staff. They find workarounds and creative solutions to system failures. It's just a shame they're not better supported! I feel like management or HQ needs to take a look at the tech and operating systems so that the wonderful staff doesn't have to constantly be putting out fires read more

I visited the pharmacy today and this was the first time I encountered Doreal (Pharmacy Texh) She seemed a little annoyed. No,"hello" or "how can I help you?" Just straight to the point. "Are you here for pick up, vaccine?" I mentioned how I was checking in for vaccine. She asked if I had already checked on my phone and I said, "oh I did not do that. I can check right now." She ended up just checking me in through the computer instead. Maybe she was having a bad day or so, but customer service should be a priority. I thought it was just me that she was speaking in a rude tone, but when I heard her talking to a patient on the phone regarding their prescription, her rudeness still came across the same way. I've been coming here for quite a few years now, and this was my first time to experience this. Everyone else is for the most part pretty polite. Shopping in the Palms area of Los Angeles, California... On my list of things to do (during this vacation) was to mail a postcard to my Yelp friend in Germany. I brought the address and stamp with me - I just needed the postcard. In the distance, I saw the familiar red CVS sign... Thank goodness! I know that store! I have a CVS card already, so, I will get credit for any purchase! Whew! The free parking lot is shared with Trader Joe's... How convenient! I just parked once and visited both businesses! Luckily, the rack of postcards (with magnets and other souvenirs) was located near the entrance! I didn't have to search or ask anyone! I even paid at the self-service kiosk and avoided the short line of customers! Shopping was easy and efficient! This CVS is conveniently located right next to a Trader Joe's and has a large parking lot next to it. It seems smaller than other CVS but in general the store seems neat and clean when I come. Store can be crowded at times but they have self checkout now. One thing I don't like is their mile-long receipt. Perhaps CVS should consider the effectiveness of their LOOOONG paper receipt with printed coupons. Everyone is going paperless these days to be kinder to the environment. I hardly ever look at, let alone use, the coupons printed. How about just lower prices in general? read more

Quiet literally the worst pharmacy I've ever been to. I've been getting the same script there for months. Every time they get it they say it's not in stock. Then I go to the pharmacy and it is in stock. Then I try to call them and they say "sorry we've never had this prescription before" when I've gotten it filled by them for at least 6 months. I am now 5 days without medication. The managers don't manage and there are new people at the register every day that look 16. read more

I visit this CVS often for convenience but not out of any customer loyalty. It hurts me to say this but I don't have any pros. Here are the cons. -The store is not intuitively organized. I normally visit to buy mostly the same types of items, and yet I always have a hard time finding what I'm looking for. -There's consistently a long line (both for the store and the pharmacy). And the cashier's are often rude. -The pharmacy is unreliable. I've been multiple times when even after 3+ days of me being without my medication, they still didn't have my prescription ready. I have since transferred my prescription elsewhere. -Parking! They share a parking lot with Trader Joe's and that just makes parking most times of the day a nightmare. There is a somewhat better CVS just down the street on Sepulveda and National that I find to be a better choice most of the time. The aisles are wider, it's better organized, and the service isn't A+ level but is at least better than this location. read more

I called today to see if I could get a vaccine. I left a message and someone left a message on my phone, I had stepped away and didn't hear it ring. She stated no appointment was necessary and shots were given between 12-5. I got there at 1:30 and was abruptly told by two employees one a Hispanic and one African American. Just mentioning it in case the powers that be read this so they know who the two very rude employees were. I was abruptly told as were others that it was their lunch time and they were closed between 1:30-2 PM. I calmly explained that I called and got a message that shots were given between 12-5 and why didn't the person who left me the message let me know. They were both still rude it was clearly not my fault. I didn't have time to wait so they suggested to go up the street to the CVS at National and Sepulveda. I got there and of course, as always, a line. I said I just want to ask a question and another customer said that was all he wanted to do. I was in the store for only five minutes and the same 3 customers that were at the counter hadn't moved. This is typical of this CVS. In frustration, I left and went to Rite Aid at National and Sawtelle and was helped right away and very nicely too I might add. read more

This CVS store used to a Longs Drugs. When it was Longs, it was great -- they had stuff that I couldn't find at other stores, like Ricola sugarfree mountain herb cough drops. Now I've been here twice in a month and they never have them anymore. Also, the store is now a mess. When it was Longs, the shelves were always stocked and everything looked neater. Now it looks like a discount store -- empty shelves, a jumble of products all around. Yuck. Really a shame. This used to be my favorite location. Now I'll have to look for another one. read more

Awful this CVS is absolutely terrible I only go here because it's beside Trador Joe's and it's convenient. My very first visit some Pharmacy tech was extremely rude and mumbling and bringing her personal biased into work. They also BROKE HIPPA they acted as if they didn't under stand how to use GOODRX since I had an appointment and prescriptions that were private pay. (breaking HIPPA is also illegal so everyone knows) It was extremely uncalled for and embarrassing and this time, coming back despite instructions from other people in the healthcare field she directed me to another location that did the Vaccine WRONG. Despite having access to everything, it's awful they shouldn't be allowed to break HIPPA no matter what. I'm so bothered and I even came in the second time with a positive attitude and wasn't expecting the very same pharmacy tech to have that awful demeanor. read more

OK sometimes the pick up line gets backed up. But I keep coming back because the pharmacy staff here are so dang friendly and polite. I regularly listen to them field questions from the customers before me and I have no idea how they stay so patient and calm when people ask them inane questions that they have no way of answering. They do not control what your insurance covers. They do not know why the cost of your medicine went up. They are very good at what they do, which is to fill prescriptions quickly and give flu shots. I seriously called 10 different locations on the west side and near from Santa Monica down to Torrance and every location has the flu shot available but not the T-Dap otherwise known as the Whooping Couch shot. So I am giving CVS 5 stars because I didn't realize you can buy make up there, take it home, open it, try it, and if you don't like it or it's the wrong color, you can take it back whenever with your receipt for a full refund. By the time I realized what happened another shopper had taken and pocketed the money. Brian examined the video to determine what happened and reimbursed me. I was not expecting this as the fault was my own. I will do all my CVS shopping at this location. Also great because of proximal to Trader Joe's. Had a very unfortunate experience here. I came into the store because of a medical emergency and had to use the restrooms as soon as possible. I had to beg them because they said they were closed to the public. Finally they let me, but someone opened the door to the one-room bathroom with a key while I was in there, knowing I was inside (because they knocked and I said I was in there)!
