I visited this pharmacy yesterday, May 15, 2023, around 03:15 PM. I do not live locally. I was visiting my daughter. I ran out of insulin needles for my pen. This visit was such a pleasant experience. Pharmacist, Grace, gave me warm welcome. She went out of her way to modify my computer data information so I get needles, covered by my insurance. This is classic example of 'going an extra mile.' Grace clearly Demonstrated, Outstanding Patient Care, Customer Service skills. I had timely and very pleasant visit. Thanks Grace. CVS Pharmacy made multiple automated calls to my phone for refill ready while I was traveling in Spain. When I returned & went to pick up my Lipitor, I was told that the pharmacy no longer had my medication & that it did not know when it could refill it again. The pharmacist told me to go to another pharmacy. read more

I've been coming here because convenient is parking, and I always end up with a plethora of CVS coupons. The line is never long, and I am always able to come in quickly and out. They have stickers on the line which allow you to social distance when you are in the line. Additionally, they have a lot of self-check out options, so I am thankful I never have to wait to purchase my items here. read more

I have lived around the corner from this pharmacy for 8 years now. I've wasted many hours per annum waiting in pointless never ending lines. This CVS pharmacy is extremely understaffed. If you were to call, you'd be on hold for over 25 minutes and the hold music shuts off after 5 minutes. I would not recommend anyone to use this pharmacy. read more

I've been coming to this CVS a couple times now and it's been great for the few items I need to pick up that I don't feel like going all the way to Ralphs for. I usually come here at night so it's not crowded and I can get in and out quickly, but now I just came during the day and it wasn't too bad (at checkout). They do give really long receipts, but that's because they have some useful coupons on them that definitely help with savings. read more

I really like the CVS because while they don't have express self check out, and you can use expect a line because it is well utilized in the neighborhood, the staff keep the line moving very quickly. There's also a wider selection of inventory and it seems to be more frequently kept/updated in stock than other locations. Also the hours are better than most given that it is open 24 hours. Usually plentiful free parking in their lot out front as well. The staff at the front are also a lot more friendly than I've seen at most pharmacies in the area. read more

terrible customer service. after calling ahead to confirm an order that was supposed to be ready at 2 am, i had asked if it would be ready early... the person on the phone said it would be ready in ten minutes, i was greeted with rude staff who said i was lying. just confused how 10 minutes prior to arriving a person can say that we have an order ready, and then upon arrival they deny the order. beyond that the employees said that our pickup time (2) would not be ready for 6+ hours. disturbing how a website and company can make promises that employees cannot fulfill. disheartening and disgusting. read more

Photos online were 50% off. There was no way to pay online, it showed me the total & then said pay at the store. I get there, for some reason it's NOT 50% off, but I didn't want to get back in the line (that was backed up near the front door) to fight it. The technicians that work at the pharmacy at this CVS are incredibly stupid and need some serious serious help. I have waited for over 20 mins for my prescriptions because they move so slowly. Each person picking up medications takes 5 minutes minimum to be rung up. The technician who helped us could barely even speak or be understood. This entire establishment needs some serious training to move more quickly. read more

EXTRA CARE? MORE LIKE EXTRA CRAPPY!!! I pop into this CVS whenever I'm in Brentwood because they have plenty of free parking. Every time I try to swipe my CVS card in their coupon machine, it NEVER works. Yesterday, I finally asked the cashier what the deal was with it. She said it had been broken for months, and they were "waiting for a new model." Photo center review- If this weren't so close to my office I'd never go back. I've placed 3 photo orders over the past few months & today they failed again. I placed a photo card order Mon. & went to pick it up, following the instructions I went to the checkout line. The only checker mistakenly sent me to the photo counter despite the dept. not being open. I held up the sign on the counter that read "pickup at checkout" he said, "oh you are picking up?" Duh- "yes". In the meantime 5 people (no exaggeration) got in front of me. The manager ended up checking ppl out & went to help me but said, "the photo card machine is broken & the email from corporate CVS saying your card is ready for pickup was sent by mistake. They can't tell when the machine is broken". Then fix it or tell corporate not to send the emails. It's not that difficult. Disable ordering from your CVS. Take some initiative- you are a store manager. The disconnect between CVS & their stores blows me away, considering the last few times I tried to print photos/photo cards, it was some similar iteration of an excuse. 3 strikes, I'm done read more

The worst pharmacy ever! Have been picking up my prescriptions here for months. I get an email from CVS that my prescriptions are ready for pickup, but when I arrive they're not ready, and then I get attitude from a pharm tech telling me it's my fault for not calling ahead. I show him the text informing me my prescriptions are ready. Again, nothing but attitude. Then I simply ask him to delete me from their systems so I can move the prescriptions to a different pharmacy. He refuses so I ask to speak with his manager. He calls me an asshole. The pharmacist hears what's going on and now has no interest in actually filling my prescriptions. Instead he wants to make it a Human Resources investigation. They call the store manager to address the behavior of the pharm tech who refused to admit what he called me, but then added "but I wish I had called him an asshole." I asked them to look at the cameras and determine exactly what happened. Cameras don't lie and then it was excuse after excuse about why they cameras wouldn't really resolve the situation. Sorry CVS, but you've lost me forever. Rude, under trained, under educated pharm tech, pharmacist, and store manager that simply aren't capable of serving the customers resident around this location. If you don't like the area, are resentful of the customer base in this area, or don't like customer service, please move on to another job in another location. I've certainly moved on from CVS, no matter what location. read more

I wouldn't normally go out of my way to review a chain store like CVS, but the experience I had here was worth mentioning. I had to pick up 2 prescriptions, both totaling up at around $360 (WITH insurance) and I was freaking out with the cost. The pharmacist tech that helped me at the order window was heaven sent. She helped me sign up for a direct manufacturer rebate that ended up covering all of the cost of the medications. Tiffany S. went above and beyond to help me, without even asking. It really showed me that there are still some people that care, especially in a medical world that seems to be price gouging us daily. Her care and customer service went above and beyond and literally almost brought me to tears and I couldn't thank her enough. Tiffany, you're the best and continue doing that you do! read more

Ugh. Where do I start. Let's begin with nice things. This cvs is well stocked with a good selection of basic over the counter medication needs. The check out clerks are courteous and efficient. There's ample parking in free private lot. Now the bummer. The pharmacy is kind of terrible. 0- line is always long, generally slow. I avoid picking up prescriptions here but once in a blue moon do have to use this pharmacy. 1- I called to speak with pharmacy staff for a straightforward 3 minute tops conversation. Put on hold for 10-15 minutes; not a big deal-- they're busy, I get it. When she returned, she either continued to put me on hold every other word or yelled at someone in the background as she held a second conversation. This was extremely unpleasant not to mention inefficient. 2- When I arrived at the pharmacy, I told the check out clerk that I needed to update my insurance information. I was positive they did not have my new insurance card as it had recently changed; in fact, I did offer to forward the insurance card electronically to cvs in the first conversation by phone but the staff declined and told me to update it with the clerk in person. Fifteen minutes of several frustrating conversations (almost all with the same person) included A) being told to get in another line to update my insurance info B) being told that they already had my insurance info and general unwillingness to update it despite me telling them I have my new insurance card with me C) being told that my copay was correct despite me telling them again-- no please update this insurance! D) the same staff accusing me of not just saying that I needed to update the insurance (wtf?! What do you think we've been talking about for the last fifteen minutes?!) It was like talking to a brick wall. Maybe worse since one would expect a brick wall to provide terrible customer service and the same is not expected of humans. To add insult to injury, there was a cheap paperback self help book sitting on the shelf next to the pharmacy, titled "when other people ruin your life", mocking me. This review is for the Pharmacy only. The store + cashiers get 5 stars. I have never been so annoyed in my life, let alone with a pharmacy. This is the most INCOMPETENT drugstore in Los Angeles. Because of their incompetence, I couldn't refill my prescription. No apology ... just a lousy "Oh the person you spoke to must have misinformed you and needs to be trained better". It's a hit and miss with this store. They either have a terrible outrageous long line with one register going or two or three people in line with three registers working. Every time I go up to the pharmacy counter the representative always looks like they're going to die of exhaustion or die from the threatening crazy customer hovering outside of line yelling profanity because they can't get their prescription. The customer service here is extremely inconsistent, I'm not sure if it's because they're over worked or under staffed? The bathroom is ALWAYS dirty, never clean and it smells like someone saturated the whole room in urine. The drinking fountain looks like it's purpose now is a sink. On a good note, they do usually have a nice selection of drinks: soda, water, gatorade, vitamin water, energy drinks, beer, wine, alcohol, gum, first aid, cosmetics and etc. They seem to have their store stocked well, their isles clean and when you're checking out in the front the line for the most part goes quickly. read more

This Pharmacy is convenient and close to my home but is run really poorly. So many times I am notified that the prescription will be ready at certain time but when I go there it's not ready and they make me wait 15 minutes or longer or make me come back another day. People are also not very friendly. They don't apologize for inconveniencing you for the repeated delays and basically tells you this is how it is. Take it or leave it. read more

I began this review with a "1" star on a bad day mid pandemic. That is (obviously) not a fair or balanced rating. It's too easy to gnash one's teeth reflexively & bash a store with a 1-star. I hadn't realized I had actually published that (unedited) review. Yes, communication mishaps occur and are annoying. On the other hand, the IMPORTANT thing is that CVS is, was, and has been perfectly safe before, through the riots (barring a few days' closure post burglary and looting/ riots and throughout the pandemic! They give good value on assorted products, (at least compared to the Walgreens nearer to me) and both the pharmacy and store staffs are friendly, customer-oriented and well-informed about their products. The checking out process flows smoothly 99.8% of the time. The only ongoing disappointment about the CVS for me is their perfume/ cologne case(s), which seem to offer more samples than products. I had asked them to re-order a particular kind of fragrance whose sample was on display in 2018-2019 a.k.a. when normal shipping cycles were in force. The clerk said they got new shipments in every two months, and gave me some future coupon for it, but no perfume updates in in 2-4-6 months. Ultimately, they edited down the display samples a bit. read more

How can a drug store really go wrong? Open 24 hours a day. Photo center. Lotto booth. I've only been to the pharmacy once, which I've seen crazy busy. But I just had my prescription called in, and I went several hours later to pick it up. No biggy. Their merchandise is sometimes sparse. I've yet to really figure out when they restock. But again, it's convenient. Has its own parking lot. Can't really complain. read more

Went and they said they didn't have anything and that the machines weren't working. Asked them why they sent an email then and they just brushed me off like it's no big deal. Came here the other day to just browse and shop after going to Ross (in the same complex). I did not use the pharmacy. I had a great experience here. It was mid-afternoon and they weren't too busy. The store was clean and organized. I was greeted and they asked if I needed help. CVS can be pricey but I shopped what was on sale and got some great deals. After years of trying to deal with CVS, I have had it. Their pharmacy operation is the worst I have ever encountered. After my doctor sends over a prescription, I hear nothing from them. Then the automated system says the prescription is in progress...many days in a row. When I try to call to speak with a pharmacist, their automated phone system puts me on hold and I never get to anyone. Finally, I have switched pharmacies and will purchase elsewhere. Unfortunately, for CVS, that means no other purchases from me, such as makeup, healthcare products, etc. They have totally lost a customer and it seems they really don't care. PS. I used Curbside Pickup to get about $11 worth of chocolate @ your location in 11941 San Vicente Blvd, Los Angeles, CA. I get there, and then they tell me they don't have 1/3 of my order in stock, so I ask if I can replace it with something similar and they say no. Ten minutes after I have ALREADY LEFT, I get a text from their automated system saying I have the option to replace the item. The employee who said the item could not be replaced clearly gave me wrong information. Furthermore, I don't understand why they allowed the original order to even go through if one of the items was out of stock to begin with. I will never buy anything from this location again, just out of frustration and anger with this experience. What a waste of time. read more

Last Friday i had a little mishap at home and needed some drugstore supplies in the middle of the night, went there around 2;30 AM only to find locked door and hand written note posted 'out to lunch, hope you understand' pasted on the entry door. No info what time lunch break would be over or any phone #, or any info on closest 24 hr open drugstore. Mind you two signs 'open 24 HR', in bright red were loudly lit just above the entry door. I did not need pharmacy, only drugstore but the experience was beyond annoying, it was infuriating. Tried calling # listed in the computer for that branch to no avail. I had waited a while and left. Manager's name was posted Nabil Rahman. Am i the only one to think that something went big time wrong with my experience?? When a business posts big sign and builds a certain reputation in the neighborhood of being there for us for drugstore needs 24 HRS per day, am i wrong to assume it becomes somewhat of a promise to us, locals and we deserve to be informed when things change?? This is a huge betrayal !!! Has this been happening and i am just late to find out about it? If so, then pls turn off red signs at least and post new hours of operation.
