Pharmacist is very rude and hung up on me because I had a question regarding my medication

It's nice to have CVS at this location where I can find plenty of stuff I need, in addition to my pharmacy needs. This store is very clean with friendly staff. Ralphs is right near to it, which makes easier for me to shop around. read more

I transferred my prescriptions CVS because the service at Rite Aid was terrible. We put up with Rite Aid for years. CVS is abundantly worse that Rite Aid and Target. My doctor phones or faxes them in and they disappear in the system and the doctor needs to repeat. Once it took the doctor's office 3 times to get my prescriptions into the system at CVS. I dropped off a prescription recently and was told to return in 30 minutes. I returned in 40 minutes and was told it would be another half hour wait because the person filling my prescription went on break. It took another 40 minutes. My wife's doctor sent a prescription over today and the pharmacy had no record of it. We are DONE with this place. Going to try Walgreens. In 2 years, I had 2 trips to CVS that went the way they should. This place is a disaster. read more

The staff are always friendly and greet their regular customers by name, which is very nice. They have often filled our prescriptions while I wait and are always professional and helpful. They are a very busy pharmacy and still provide personal and prompt service. I was very unhappy about having to use them as I had a pharmacy I was very loyal to but our insurance made us switch..... they have since earned my loyalty and patronage. read more

I was very disappointed with the poor service of the Pharmacy manager (Hagop) at the CVS in Moorpark (not the one in Target). The moment I handed him the prescription the first thing he said was "this is for the CVS in target why did you bring it here." I told him I went to the Target one and they were out and checked online and said you had it so they sent me here. His answer was "they always say that and keep sending everyone here because they don't want to do their job" He said this twice while we were talking. He also kept trying to find ways to not do his job and fill the prescription. Next question was "this Dr is in L.A. why are you bringing it here?" I told him "I live here but my dentist is in LA because I work there." He kept asking more irrelevant questions such as "why is a dentist giving you a strong painkiller" and on and on. In any case I found this "manager"'s behavior unprofessional and abrasive and am surprised CVS would hire such incompetent managers. The Target CVS by contrast has been excellent for the past 20 years that I've been using them. read more

Horrible customer service. They don't have time to fill your prescription but they have time to talk about what there going to do over the weekend. Excuse after excuse why they don't have time to fill your prescription. read more

The real problem here lies with the Pharmacy. While most of the pharmacists were incredibly nice, there was one in particular, by the name of Angela, that was completely and utterly rude for no reason. The computer system was not working and kept telling me to use another form of payment, basically making me feel like my card declined even though I had enough money in my account. I contacted my dad to let him know what the situation was and if he would not mind paying while I tried to figure out why my card was not going through. My dad offered to pay over the phone, which you obviously can't do, as they had to slide the card, so then he just offered to pick it up for me. I got off the phone and decided to try one more time, thinking maybe it was the computer. While in line, I checked my bank account and saw I was charged $200 three times for my medication, a total of $600. Instead of trying to help me figure out why I was being charged, Angela stated "well no receipt printed so I don't know what to tell you". I later asked for further help and ushered toward the manager, who was completely frazzled and overwhelmed by the situation. It was not brain surgery, I just wanted to know what was going on, I have no idea why the manager was freaking out. She did do her best to help me and I appreciate it, but I do not appreciate her comments stating how she "could not handle this right now" and "I have too much going on right now". So I ushered back to the pharmacy and told to ask Angela for a receipt. Again, she told me there was none. I let her know that there had to be something because I was charged $600 and someone needed to figure out what was going on. Instead of being polite or suggesting I call my bank to find out what the issue was, like another pharmacist insisted, she began to insult me by stating "well your card declined, and you tried to call your dad to get him to pay and he said no". She said this with an attitude as well. This had NOTHING to do with what I just stated, was completely untrue, and 100% none of her business. She was clearly attempting to listen to my conversation with my dad on the phone and failed. I have no idea why she would make this kind of statement. It was 100% out of line and completely unprofessional. She ruined my experience, and while the other employees were very polite, I will not be shopping here ever again. Instead of apologizing, she denied having an attitude, yet remained quiet once I told her manager and other coworkers the rude statement she had made. She just wined in the background, "I wasn't being rude." The problem did lie in their system after all,. when I called my bank from CVS. They told me everything was fine on my end and that the store rejected my card due to something in their system. The money would be put back in three days. Instead of suggesting I call my bank, this woman insulted me. The manager did offer me a $30 gift card, which was very generous, but I wanted someone to speak to this women about how she treats customers, it's not OK. Especially since she made this statement in front of other customers. It was completely out of line. Angela was completely demeaning, insulting, and rude. Even as I was finishing up with the manager and about to leave, instead of apologizing and admitting her comment was rude, she simply stated "I'm sorry but your card declined...", which was not true. This woman ruined my experience and just made it irritating. I refuse to shop here or use the pharmacy after this experience. I understand if you do not like your job, but do not take it out on the shopper. I've worked in customer service myself so I understand how frustrating and ridiculous customers can be, but I was polite and nice to this woman who began her conversation with me, with an attitude. If you do visit, make sure not to have Angela help you. read more

Worst "customer service"ever at the pharmacy. The pharmacy is understaffed and overwhelmed. They are so overwhelmed it leads me to question their ability to fill prescriptions properly. I will be taking our prescriptions elsewhere. read more

rip off!! when this place was target i paid $10.00 for a 90 day supply of my medication metformin 500 mg now its $11.00 for 3 days. i just checked cosco it's $10.00 for 90 days. screw this place!!! shame on target for selling out to these thieves!! read more

I have had at least 6 separate occasions where this pharmacy has been difficult about filling prescriptions and this last time we dealt with a woman named SANDY who was extremely rude and acted like we were burdening her. Will NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PHARMACY! read more

worst pharmacy ever!!! i had 2 teeth break and was running 103 temperature my dentist phone in a antibiotic i was in a lot of pain but waited 4 hours for them ti tell me they didnit even have the antibiotics in stoke and it would take 2 days to get it!!! then they refused to send it to the cvs across the street in target or any other pharmacy!!! rude people too!!! read more

I honestly don't know why I have given this place so many chances. The store itself is fine, and the employees are nice enough. The pharmacy is where the real problem lies. There is always a line of people, most frustrated due to some error that's been made. The computer system is a hot mess. The poor staff is completely clueless and have no good answers when I explain my frequent complaints. I've tried writing letters, talking to managers... It gets me nowhere with them. Their communication level with doctors and customers is almost non existent. Even though their automated telephone service states that they will contact you if there is a problem, I often get the confirmation call that my medications are ready for pick up and in person arrive to find a confused pharm tech telling me there is a problem and they need to contact my doctor. Yet no one has taken the initiative to do so. Keep in mind, because I've had problems in the past, I always give at least 72 hrs notice. That's 3 days they could've been working to solve a problem instead of making a small problem worse. This pharmacy has driven me to medical hoarding out of fear that my life-sustaining medications won't be filled in time. I can't tell you how many times I've had a pharmacy tech tell me "you can pay out of pocket and just get reimbursed later if it's really that important". Ughhh! Good riddance... read more

Beware of CVS in Moorpark! Terrible customer service, clueless employees, long waits, and many return trips needed for almost every prescription. On numerous occasions over the last couple months, I have been in to pick up prescriptions. After receiving automated calls saying that my prescription is ready, I go in to pick it up to be told that there are none ready for me. I am often told that "insurance denied it" or "the doctor didn't refill the prescription" or a combination of the two. Upon calling my insurance and doctors, they tell me everything is fine, and they have called it in to the pharmacy. I started calling the store to confirm before I came in - as there are often long lines, and many other customers having the same problems as I have had. I have written letters to corporate, I have called and spoken to the store manager whom just passes the phone to someone in the pharmacy. I have been on hold on more than one occasion where someone in the pharmacy answers, then puts me on hold for about 45 minutes until the line hung up on me. I have now started using another pharmacy and have had no problems like this. read more
