I've never used the pharmacy but I recently went in for baby formula. I stopped at cvs because it was a rainy day and its very close to my house. The shelf was empty of the one I was looking for so I went to the register to see if there was some in the back. The female cashier told me that they had received a shipment that day of formula and it was in the back but she couldn't bring any out. She said that it would be out tomorrow. I'm sure there are steps they have to follow to check in new product for inventory purposes. But you would think on a rainy day...and the fact that it was baby formula...they could have just brought one out for customer service purposes. I ended up loading my baby back in the car and going to target. Any parent knows, you don't want to take your baby out in the rain...let alone twice. This pharmacy is the worst IVE ever had to deal with. !! They are dishonest ! They try and cover up things they have done.! Even thou I cannot prove it, I picked up my cough syrup and it was like water and very very clear ! I noticed it right away and called my husband over to look at it and he was so upset !! We called CVS and they said- its just a new company.? Funny thing !! The next refill had just ( pharmaceutical ) on it without the company name THATS required by law. I found out that it was the same company that was named on the bottle of watered down cough syrup- and it was normal just like I have been getting for years. !! So it went from ( like water) then back to the normal cough syrup.so if u use your common SENCE u can figure it out quickly. I had all of my prescriptions transferred over to ANOUTHER pharmacy and now CVS is causing more problems. They told me after 3 calls to them and them telling me they'd take care of it. They have not made any phone calls as they promised !! To do right away. !! I can't wait to get out of there. ! Its sad that a pharmacy has to stoop so low and do such things as these to a person who has never so much as said a harsh word to any of them. I just left this CVS pharmacy so pleased! There was an issue with a prescription I had set up for mail order, and the people here were so friendly and helpful! I was in and out of there in under 10 minutes. They provided great customer service, nice job. I was very panicked because I need to start my medication in 2 days and there was no way even a rush order by mail would get to me in time. Soo happy with my experience. read more

I have to go to this cvs because the other one on 17th is ghetto and shady as hell. Sadly, this place is not much better. The pharmacy is majorly understaffed. I just waited an hour for my prescriptions only to come back an hour later to be told I needed to wait another 10 minutes. Are you fucking kidding me? It's 9:20 pm and I have to be up for work in the morning. Unacceptable. As much as the pharmacy techs try to be nice, it's not working. Terrible service at the pharmacy, pharmacist name was Mary. Came in to get my meds I showed my insurance card and she didn't even take it from my hand and said that is not insurance, didn't even look at it, and went on to tell me the total which was $75 dollars. She went on to say why don't I just pay it? Um because I have insurance and you won't even look at it. Left and called the next day the guy on the phone said he reviewed and looked everything over ( like Mary should've done) and that everything is good and ready for $14 dollars. Absolute worst pharmacy I have ever used. I am a monthly pharmacy customer for over 20 years and this pharmacy is filled with rude and incompetent people. Maybe a handful of people who know what they are doing but the majority of the workers don't understand insurance or medication. Bring a book to read if you are going through the drive through because it doesn't move. Average wait time in drive through is 30 minutes during regular business hours. I gave this place chance after chance when my insurance stopped using Walgreen's but they never compared. Thank God Walgreen's takes my insurance again. read more

Where do I even begin after a really long day at work and after that leaving to a hospital and getting sad news that same day! If I could give no starts at all I would! But I will not get personal here but if you are going to work serving CUSTOMER SERVICE! Which I have for couple of years prepare yourself for good and bad and if you can't serve customer service in a professional way WHY ARE YOU THERE?! Well to the point I came here with my brother and i had to deal with such uneducated employees which I hope they get to see this......right after a long day at the hospital I came to get a prescription for my brother and as soon as I got there I was obviously confused never had to come to a pharmacist nobody acknowledge me standing or cared and a tall looking guy rudely tells me "you drop off over there!" And I was like ok no big deal I'll stand and wait then when it was my turn in line I don't know the names of these people nor do I care lady comes and looks at my prescription then she disappear says nothing then another lady comes and I was just standing there no clue of what was going on after couple mins of her typing in the computer not knowing wether she was attending me or not she finally speaks! So rude at the beginning I was confused trying to figure out what she was trying to say about my insurance then I continue to ask questions she had no remorse not a care of helping until I insisted what other options I had so she FINALLY TELLS ME that I didn't have to get it over the counter and "highlights" what to look for well i spent not too long trying to look and I decided to get help instead I approach a Caucasian old lady she seemed to stepped out fast from the register their was NO ONE OUT THERE TO HELP so I asked her if she could help me and she was like "what do you need help with?" In the rudest way possible! And I continued to stay humble I need to look for this item I pointed at it and looked at me rude and said "oh I have no clue what that is or where is it?!" Still rude while walking away and then tells a fat ass lady right next to her "can you help those people they don't know what they are looking for!" Like sarcastically rude and then she approached me "nice and kind" (I thought) she said "hi what can I help you with" and then I'm looking for this prescription I pointed at it and this goes back to the pharmacist who didn't specify anything and just told me the wrong name so she was like "oh this doesn't look like anything I know let me go ask the pharmacist" so I follow her back to where I started and goes behind the counter with her and tells her "what did you tell them to look for because they've been looking and they can't find it laughing like annoyed and rude" and then the pharmacists Mexican looking with a tongue piercing says "I told them! What the name was I highlighted it for them!" (Rude of course ) the fatass responds to her pointing the name that I had been looking and then "oh cause they were looking for this the whole time" all of them laughing and rude like if we were stupid so then she tried to brush it off by "ok so the name is latex and theirs different prices" and so on I felt so hopeless and mad that I couldn't stick out for myself or point it out at that time I left so mad and overwhelmed I WILL NEVER EVER COME BACK AND I HOPE this helps someone who ever tries to come with these ghetto employees read more

Zero stars for the rude hispanic girl who seemed put out because my phone number wasn't working in the system. So she scanned her own card (probably giving herself points) and didn't let me use my coupons. I complained to the manager onsite. There is a super nice guy that's been working the checkout lately. Maybe he replaced her. Hope so! Nothing is worse than a miserable employee who obviously hates her job and takes it out on the customers. We just moved to the area I told the manager and it was a shock as our previous location was super cool and friendly. It's too bad because the manager actually came up to me to help me before the incident with the cashier. A lady that works here named Cindy is completely disrespectful to customers. And she's very unprofessional. She was talking about a customer right in front of her and then continued to complain and say "can I go home already? Uhg these people can't read" she was mad at customers using machines when it said cash only. She could have addressed this in a much more mature way. For me she was disrespectful as well.... I was printing pictures and the "in seconds" was down and there was a sign. When I went to pay and have it printed she basically threw a tantrum about having to walk to the computer and click the print button and told me she had other customers to deal with . I responded with the fact that I'm a customer too and wanted to pay for my pictures. And she got mad that I didn't print it on seconds. She wasn't even aware of her surroundings that the system was down and offered no apologies. Manager there suggested that I call cooperate and report her. So I'm posting here too . read more

I usually don't buy anything there. It's way too over priced. It's one saving grace is an ATM, which is just about the only thing I use there. So, I just got off of work, locked my bike outside and then went in to use the ATM. Then, I got harassed for having my backpack on me. Now, I've gone there for over a year without a single manager telling me to put my backpack behind the counter. Then, then manager, a manager I hadn't seen before, telling me that I had to put my backpack behind the counter. Now, I have my expensive work clothes, my cellphone and my medications (for my tendinitis, in case you're wondering) , now, I'm not going to have to surrender all my items and make compromises just to use the ATM or shop at a store. This is the worst cvs I have ever been too!!!!!! I called in my rx on Wednesday for Thursday afternoon pick up. On thursday they told I don't have ins when I do so they couldn't fill it because my rx needs a prior auth for the dose (which I told them to start on wednesday) they didn't have it and couldn't call my medical group to do it because she had a line that I waited 20 mins in... I am a medical assistant and I deal with this issue everyday it's not hard to do and it he takes 5 min. Then Thursday night I get a call saying its ready. So Friday afternoon i wait another 20 mon for them to say its not ready but give them 30 min and they will have it... 45 min later I had to wait again in line for them to say they don't have it yet but would fill it now so 10 min later I got it and I will never send anyone there ever again patients or friends and family. Had a 10 day headache trying to get a refill involving two local CVS pharmacies. To be fair, only part of the problem was CVS' incompetence. Both pharmacies showed an appalling lack of care if I got my prescription or not. That said, the employees had outwardly showed signs of professionalism despite lack of concern. The exception would be one employee at this pharmacy- a tech named Nicole. Never have I received such rude and unprofessional behavior from any company. If you want to hear yourself being talked rudely about to other employees right in front of you and where other patrons are in sight/hearing, then go ahead and go here and make sure you ask for this woman. Horrible representative of this company. Will never return for a prescription because of the whole situation but will never return to cvs because of nicole. read more

Horrible if I could rate the pharmacy with 0 stars I would . I Dropped of a prescription for my daughter at 9pm, they said it was going to take 2 hours to fill. Returned back at 11:10pm. And then they say sorry we don't have it, CVS doesn't carry it! Really!? They didn't even bother calling to let me that information. They just waited for me to show up to tell me, as if we don't have anything else to do. Absolutely awful. My medications are never on time. Today my medications were all mixed up. I didn't even get the correct one I needed. When I tried to correct the pharmacist (Franklin) he made it seem that I was inconveniencing him. Every other time I've had Franklin help me he just looks like he hates his job and gives awful customer service. I've watched him do it to the people ahead of me too. An employee like that needs to be disciplined or fired. I would choose firing him. read more

I used this pharmacy for about 6 months because it was very close to my job. I would usually pick up my prescription after work, around 5-5:30pm. There was usually a long line, due to it being right across from CHOC and St. Joseph Hospital, and many physician offices in the area. The poor pharmacy technicians and pharmacists always looked like they were being worked to death from being so busy. I wouldn't recommend trying to contact someone in the pharmacy during lunch hours on the phone. I've been placed on 45 minute holds (my entire lunch break + some), to end up being hung up on (probably accidentally by a pharmacy team member who is too busy to even think properly). Speaking of phone contact, I've had some bad experiences with pharmacy staff who have very unprofessional phone etiquette. While this wasn't the case with everyone, some were quite rude or just plain rushed to even listen to my whole question. I remember trying to call late at night once, and the lady sounded so busy that she didn't want to listen to me. I have two horror stories: 1. A male pharmacy tech apparently did something wrong in terms of filling a rx, and a female pharmacist starting yelling at him right in front of me and a long line of customers. The poor guy looked dazed and scared while she continued to insult his work and yell about his mistake (I'm sure he was new and everyone makes mistakes...give him a break). If this is what goes on in front of customers, I'd hate to see what goes on behind the scenes. It was really sad to see that employees are treated just as badly as the customers, and that the supervisors are the ones promoting a culture of anger and negative reinforcement. 2. One time CVS said that they couldn't fill my specific generic brand, so they sold me a different generic that was supposed to be exactly the same formula. After taking this different generic brand, I noticed unpleasant symptoms that I never experienced with the generic I was normally given. Well, a few weeks later (after finishing the supply I had been given), I got a prescription recall notice in the mail, and guess what? It was about the stupid generic medication that they INSISTED was the same thing but apparently wasn't even safe to take! They said I needed to stop taking it (um...I already finished all of it!?!?) and get blood work done. The worst part of this situation? They mailed this recall to my MOM'S HOUSE, who opened my mail and was informed about the medication I was being prescribed. I had specifically given them my LOCAL address for all correspondence and yet "somehow" this recall was sent to my mother. I was completely mortified and furious. I went to CVS and asked to speak to a pharmacist, and he was sincerely apologetic and made the necessary changes to ensure it wouldn't happen again. I appreciate that he tried to help the situation, but it didn't erase the fact that my privacy as a patient was compromised by sending my confidential information to my mother's home. Needless to say, I'm at a new CVS pharmacy now in Irvine (I decided to give CVS another chance, hoping that it was just one bad store). My current CVS answers the phone with a polite greeting and the wait time is never more than 5-10 minutes. I'll never go back to this pharmacy again. read more

I purchased some items for a friend, she didn't want the items so 1 1/2 hour later I went to return the item...,. $6.50. They would not let me because l was " restricted" . Really? I've never returned anything before, I paid cash and I had the receipt. Not only would they not let me but they were rude and dismissive as if I was trying to do something underhanded. As a preferred customer my receipt says I've spent $248 so far this month. This is such BS. I will never shop at CVS again. Ever. Great way to treat a good customer. read more

I just had probably the most frustrating and embarrassing experience at CVS #9725 in Orange CA. I had used the app on Thursday at 5/29 to request a refill for some test strips for my blood glucose meter. The email I received stated my prescription would be ready that same day at 4:00PM. I received a call at my home at 4:00 this afternoon reminding me that my prescription was ready for pick-up. I went to the store at 7:45PM and I was told that it was not ready could I please come back tomorrow. I informed the clerk that I received a call telling me they were ready. She responded by telling me that sometimes happens and they were completely out. I then told her that I was out and needed them to calibrate my continuous glucose monitor. She told me it might help if I ordered them ahead of time or perhaps if I just bought a new monitor this would not happen. She then told me there were 5 people in line behind me, could I please move out of the way so she could help them. I then reiterated that I needed them, she told me to try going to the hospital. After discussing this with the manager I was told go to a CVS that was 3 miles down the street and they had called that location and they would be ready when I showed up. I drove to that CVS and when I walked into the pharmacy I was told they had no idea what I was talking about and nobody had called from the other store. After explaining to them that I was told to go there and they would be ready they were able to fill the item that I needed. An experience that should have taken 5 minutes took over an hour. I am at a loss as to why I would receive a phone call telling me my item was ready and then have the pharmacy tell me that it wasn't and then insult me repeatedly in front of other customers. read more

This is a horrible pharmacy as far as I am concerned. Consistently behind in getting out perceptions that are ongoing. They switch medicines to generic brands without even discussing with. Beyond that they do not give a tinker damn about anyone, all they want is money. CVS commercials on television are complete bullshit, there's not one bit of truth in what they say.
