I give three stars because the customer service is friendly, and this location is almost never busy!! I would like to bring to the attention to corporate and upper management some important information. Every single time I come here, the staff is way undermanned. Although not so busy, this store has a long way to go to be up to par with the way a CVS should be maintained. Particularly, I always notice a team member by the name Raymond who is bouncing around this entire store, doing the work of literally about four employees. Come on! I don't know why he sticks around with the massive work load I see him take on (I frequent here at least once a week). Along with his tireless work ethic, he bears the utmost respect and is the epitome of what every organization should demand in a hard-working, upper management representative. Because of this kind of service, I will return here for my needs. I highly suggest things change on the higher part of the totem pole, because I am ready to snag your top notch employee who is absolutely underpaid, regardless of his wage! read more

It's been a long time since I did a review but this one deserves the review I am about to give them. I called this pharmacy and asked if there's a pending order of my son's med. They answered with a no and that it was sent to CVS inside Target at Mission Valley. Yes, I got that thanks for the information. That medicine that was at that CVS has already been picked up. Again, I was asking about the pending medicine other than the one I just got. Anyway, I let that conversation go because I thought the Doctor hasn't placed the order yet. I waited. After couple of hours I get a call at this CVS that my order is ready for pick up. My husband goes. After half an hour he calls and tells me they don't have any order and that I should call CVS in Mission Valley to forward the order. I do it anyway even though I was getting frustrated with how much work we need to do in order to get our medicine. I called and the pharmacy said they all have the same system that they should be able to see the pending orders. Again I call my husband, he goes back in line, waits another 30 mins. He calls me and tells me the same thing. If you guys keep putting us in the middle when you guys could just call each other, i'm just gonna go bald. It was a back and forth of who is right and wrong. At this point I just needed the medicine. After that was resolve my husband tells me he had to pay $200 for the inhaler because it wasn't covered. Ok fine. Just please hurry because my son needs it. Nope after ANOTHER 30 mins they call my husband who is still inside the store that they don't have the inhaler that he needed. I'm going bald because this place is shit. Stop wasting everyone's fucking time. Never getting our medicine here. We only picked this one because its closer to my place and supposedly they had the inhaler that I needed. read more

Just another basic average CVS! The only thing I always get here is alcohol. This place doesn't seem to ever be packed, which is good thing. Large parking lot shared with other businesses. Everything in here is very standard. Good enough place to grab what you need and get out. Never long lines, prices aren't too bad. $35 Hennessy bottles with card. read more

I want to give a shout out to this CVS location manager for making my daughter's day! We went in with some special foil balloons that I got for her birthday party online and had trouble finding a place that would fill them up with helium! It was down to the last minute when I called this location and their rep told me that they DO!!! I drove there with my daughter right away and the manager told me that they are running short on helium supply and that they don't usually fill up someone else's balloons BUT since we were promised she agreed to do it! This lady (sorry I didn't get her name) went above and beyond in color coordinating the ribbons colors and all and she refused to charge us for it!! Really disappointed in my recent experiences at the pharmacy here. I've been getting prescriptions here for over 3 years, and only recently started having issues. I came in earlier this month and was asked to pay a substantial amount for one of my prescriptions. I asked the lady at the pharmacy checkout why it cost so much since I have insurance and she told me it was because I was getting a 3 month supply. I asked her if they ran my insurance and was told yes, so I told her I didn't want it if that was the cost. Well, today they refilled the prescription again and I went on the app to see how much it was, again way too much. I called and asked what was going on and was told that my insurance was expired and it was my responsibility to bring in my new card. Well, I've been in multiple times this month due to an injury and not a single person has asked for my insurance card. I'm actually pretty sure that I've been overpaying my share this whole month now. I don't appreciate overpaying or being spoken to in a rude manner today by the staff. Seems like it's time for a new pharmacy, which is a shame since this one is close to home and served me well for 3 years. I always come here since my work is close and today I was super unhappy with the workers. I witnessed an employee give attitude to an older lady because she didn't want to give her email, instead of being nice about it the worker was rude. Also another employee got an attitude with another customer because she thought his line was open and he cussed about how everyone has shit to do and he's trying his best. The workers had open discussions about how bad their days were and used profanity. It's horrible to behave that way when in a customer service job. I hope they are in better moods the next time I come in. read more

I disappointed about pharmacist's service. I was dropped my prescription and pick up medicine from there. When I got home and taking medicine. I remember the doctor said I have to take 4 medicine then I checked pictures of my prescription from phone. On my prescription I got 4 medicine. But Cvs' pharmacists just gave me 3 item of medicine. So I called back to them they just say come back any time at the counter and pay. No say any sorry to me that truly it was their mistake or their fail. Then I drove back to there and got the medicine and I spoke with the lady at counter of pharmacy she didn't say any sorry to me until I asked and then she told me "how many time to say sorry to you" I so disappointed what she said to me. I just need to know why pharmacist not tell me about the medicine that missing from them if I don't have a picture of my prescription. Do I just take 3 item of medicine ?? If the medicine that they missing to me or someone is very important. How you can take a response??? So bad experience and waste my time. read more

The customer ahead of me disputed the charge of a product that was supposedly on sale and wasn't ringing up as being on sale. The cashier was so rude to the customer. When the customer said she wanted to speak to a manager the cashier said she was the manager. When I was next to checkout I tried being friendly with her and smile as if life isn't that bad...move on from it. She would NOT smile or be friendly back whatsoever. In fact, while I was waiting for my card to go through she was leaning up against cash register with such annoyed look on her face and then I overheard her say "oh great" all because one of her employees needed to ask her approval for something. I been here a few times to buy some beauty supplies for a friend. I usually don't shop CVS because they are more expensive that walmart or target. For example a stick of deodorant is usually 2 dollars more that walmart. Other general items are also expensive. This CVS is clean and the aisles are wide. Everything is in order. I rarely see many employees here except at the cashier area. They are usually nice and efficient at the cash register. Not my first choice when shopping for general items due to higher prices. But it's convenient for a quick stop for a few items. read more

Pluses for this store - Convenient location. Negatives for this store - The pharmacy made a huge mistake on my prescription. My primary care physician prescribed two powerful antibiotics. Picking the prescriptions up at the pharmacy I verified the pill containers matched the paperwork and then drove home. Prescription instructions directed me to take one of each antibiotic simultaneously. When I placed one of each in my hand, they looked identical. I put on magnifying glasses and verified they were the same. I phoned the pharmacist on duty and explained my observation. He stated the pharmacist on prior shift must have erred as the second pill should look drastically different. I had to return to the pharmacy to receive correct drugs. Terrible service by the pharmacy staff here, really cold and irritable attitude by employees. The reviews don't lie, everyone seems to agree there is a lack of concern for customers and really just a place of profit. I had a prescription issue for which I felt I was treated poorly, went to Rite aid just a few minutes from cvs and was provided assistance by a very kind and gentle pharmacist who actually went above and beyond. This is my favorite drug store, they have great sales on alcohol all of the time. I absolutely enjoy walking on the carpeted floor and perusing the endless aisles of make up and perfumes. Tried calling this store to get the availability of a product. It took about 8 minutes for them to pick up the phone, then when I asked for the availability they told me to go online to look it up. (Well their availability is always wrong online which is why I call.) When I told her this she then placed me on a hold while I tried explaining the product then I was on hold for another 8 minutes before I hung up. Tried calling back and no answer. read more

Review for pharmacy. I made an appt last week online for a flu shot at this location at 1p. I show up five mins early just to find out that the pharmacist just left for lunch!!! Wtf. Supposedly he always takes lunch from 1-130p. Well then you should communicate that with your online appt system!!! What a waste of time because now I'm just sitting here waiting for nothing. Not like I want to shop here since prices are a rip compared to target or Walmart. P.s. I'm only doing my flu shot here because my job gave me a voucher thru CVS. I hate this place more than WalMart, which is saying something ... it never fails that there's always a line 5+ people deep. I had to pick up a prescription today and they don't let you pay with the rest of your stuff up front because drug addicts leave without paying I guess. Anyway, 80+ year old woman buying three boxes of wine in front of me ... cashier made two calls to get help at the registers and, only after I put two things on the belt did a backup finally arrive, so I let the 3 people behind me go to the other line. So then (of course) wine box lady wants to write a check and have help to her car ... the guy who was supposed to help her (manager or lead maybe?) took over 5 minutes so she just started loading the wine boxes, etc. herself. RiteAid in Kensington is way better! read more

Pretty easy to browse through the aisles here and find what you need. Make sure you are signed up with your phone number for the extra deals and savings before you check out. They have a few printers around the stores where you can print out all of your offers as well. I walked in and needed help finding a cart and one of the employees went out of her way to go outside and get one for me. I also need assistance with an item that was behind a glass enclosed shelf and they were there within a minute. Overall, pretty good experience and if you're savvy you can find some deals. read more

I know these are stressful times, but seriously the pharmacist needs to get a hearing aid! I asked if he could merge my two different prescriptions together so I don't have to go so often and he OBVIOUSLY DID NOT hear me. I used to think this place was not great, but I've been to some other pharmacies in town now. The people here are nice, and they care. The lines are ridiculous though. The purpose of this review is to praise one of the best CVS employees ever. Quintrel deserves a promotion or a raise for his professionalism and sincerity. Every time I visit this CVS, I am greeted warmly by him and offered his assistance. He always manages to make me smile and I know he does the same for all the customers that enter this CVS location. I am a nurse at a nearby hospital and stop by this CVS on my break often, and he always thanks me for my service in the medical field. I visited this store last monday and there was a line of people waiting. The manager came out and said can I help the next person in line. As I turned to go there were 2 guys walking behind him and the taller one states oh well I'm not going to stand in line so I'm next. Then looks at me and said WHAT? The manager didn't do anything to help. Just quietly rung him up. Didn't even have the balls to say that oh, these people were already waiting. Nothing. Not going back to this store again. read more

If you like poor service, this is the CVS location for you! Long lines, because only 1 out of 5 employees actually help customers, then be told you have to wait a while for your order. After waiting for some time in the store... Wait in the Long line again to be told your order needs to be processed again. Then wait a while for order to be processed... To top that off, employees take phone calls from customers and hang up on them "saying they won't be yelled at by customers" in front of customers. Very unprofessional! The manager Crystal was the one who hung up on the customer. She is rude and needs to be re-trained/replaced to be helpful and polite to customers and not run the pharmacy so poorly that people have to wait a long time multiple times for one order. There is a Rite-Aid across the street, and other CVS locations nearby. That's your best bet until this store fixes their poor customer service. read more

I'm giving this place 5 stars because last night I went in to print out some pictures and as I walked in the girl behind registrar 2 greeted with a smile and a "is there something I can help you with" so I asked where the photo area was and she gave me a bummed look and told me it was out of order. Fail! She then said she would call the other cvs that was open 24hrs down the street for me to find out if they were open. I told her I was new to the area and didn't know my way around. Not only did she call she wrote down directions and the address and phone number for me! Damn talk about awesome service! I told her I needed just 1 thing so I picked it up and got a few coupons when I checked out. Damn this girl gave me the best tip ever. As u was putting my wallet away we started talking about Xmas light she said they were 12.99 but buy one get 1 1/2 off she then said that if I used coupon and my cvs club card it would after tax come out to less than 8 bucks for 2. Who could freaking resist especially since I was going to buy some to decorate my balcony anyway. So instead of waiting till I got to the next cvs I gave them my money because she was so darn nice and helpful! When I was all done she even welcomed me to the neighborhood! Customer service is horrible. Had a prescription transferred here. Had proof it was transferred with an email confirmation. Somehow it got "lost". Tech was not friendly and said please wait a moment, and made me wait 35 minutes. I don't know why I waited. She could has said, if you could please come back in 30, etc., I would not be as irate as I am right now. read more

Let me just start by saying I've lived in this area my whole life .... raised my daughter here using this pharmacy as well as rite aid across the way .I love rite aid customer service but needed a special eye drop two years ago which had me switch over to cvs . My first issue was I'm diabetic and order insulin every 2 mo . well I went in to pick up my insulin a month ago and the man Archibald Who is one of the pharmacist at CVS handed me a box of insulin. Now the last 2 times I didn't say anything but noticed there were 2 or 3 insulin pens missing that another pharmacist there had always put on top of the box I picked up .so I asked Archibald about this . he then said I'm glad you're cool with me not adding the three on top because it really messes up our fridge having open boxes lying around I then said no I am not cool with you keeping three of my pens !!!!my insurance says 90 days and that's what I pay for I want all 90 days worth of pens . He then said it's up to the pharmacist that fills it whether they want to put your full prescription on there or not that they only have to give me 2 boxes "70 day "... That all sounded crazy to me . But The only true way of giving me 90 days is taking a few pens out of another box and putting them on top of the one that I get. I argued with him on the phone and in person the only thing offered to me was to give me a couple of pens for "free". I made it clear that I'm not looking for something for "free" I want exactly what I pay for period . So they cheated me out of 3 to 4 pens each month of insulin that is a lot of money to be wasted I'm sure my insurance would not like that. Moving forward about a month my son was sick last night And needed to pick up a Z pack from the pharmacy I gave Archibald both cards of my son . a prescription card and a medical card on the phone. He insisted that it was missing a number that he needed a "Bin "number . I called from the hospital that my son was at and spoke with him ,being that I I am diabetic my sugar was low after running around for my son at the doctors when I called I was trying to understand why he couldn't put my sons prescription through apparently I sounded confused to him ,he rushed me off the phone saying that he was too busy to deal with it and that he would try to get to it by 845 knowing that they close at 9 o'clock. I then called a Nother time to try to explain again that I really needed this medicine for my son he rushed me off the phone once again. I finally sent my boyfriend to the pharmacy to try to make them get my sons prescription. Archibald then told my boyfriend that he doesn't know what was wrong and why I sounded so confused there must be alcohol involved my boyfriend then told him I was diabetic and had very low blood sugar when I called the second time and told him he needs to be better with customer service .Archibald is very unprofessional in many ways. I am switching back to Rite aid at this point because I have told previous manager about him when they stole my insulin and now again not helping me with my son when he was sick. I would not go to the pharmacy based on what I've been through over there . They do not care about customers period . read more

It's a typical CVS. Nothing fancy. It's the closest one to home so I get all my prescriptions and last minute things here. One thing I have noticed is that some of the pharmacists lately have been rude. We all have our days, I get that, but a young lady in particular at the pharmacy that was checking me out spoke very loudly (not everyone needs to know how much my prescription costs or what it is) and rolled her eyes at my mom after she asked a simple question.
