Literally spent over an hour trying to schedule an appointment for COVID booster. The automated system makes this impossible. I spoke to 2 live people, and multiple automated systems, including one that was pretending to be "live". Truly unbelievable that one's health care depends on such a truly awful system. Even though the website states that walk-in appointments are available, no one can make one. It's truly a system that is set up to only do things one way. When you get a person, they merely try to put you back into an automated system, no matter what you ask. This is truly a terrible experience. read more

So much better than any other drug store. This particular CVS is outstanding. The service is wonderful. Met a fantastic woman who helped me with make up stuff for a wedding. She was such a good vibe. I wish that more people could have her spirit at work. The manger and clerk who checked me out were so kind. They also helped with coupons. I'm thinking there is gross understaffing that leads to sub par service. There is anything and everything that can go wrong at this pharmacy. Things you hear from Diana who is the manager. -The doctors have not sent us the prescription. Oh wait! yes they did we just did not see it 45 min later. -Your order is ready... Oh, wait, no it isn't. -Yes I know you pick that prescription up every month but we ran out. -I've been waiting for you to fill my order, you know I've been waiting why did you not intercom me or text me when my order was ready. - I needed a flu shot and to pick up a prescription, I was asked to wait in 4 different lines, they guy giving me the shot hands shook horribly. Tonight a new person helped me in the pharmacy, her name was Heely. She was chewing gum, playing with her hair, her nail polish was only left in bits and specs, just very unprofessional. read more

Last time I complained to cvs and their response was a thank you for the comment which would be forwarded to the store. Wish there were another 24 hour pharmacy to choose from. Some staff are cordial and nice, but avoid if you actually need a prescription filled. Wait time is always at least 20 times as long as average whether that be waiting on hold on the phone, waiting in the line to drop off, the turnover time to get the prescription meds processed, or picking up. It seems the pharmacy never picks up their phone as well. read more

Dirtiest restroom, no seat covers or toilet paper. Had to go find toilet paper down one of the aisles. The one minute clinic employees were very rude when I asked if she knew the code to the restroom. She wasn't doing anything but was on her phone, she could have just put the code in. Lazy b*tch. Today , Ricky at the pharmacy , interrupted a CVS employee who was about to greet me he did not say excuse himself. He asked for my information did not smile did not greet me . A Caucasian lady interrupted our transaction , and Ricky ignored me processed my transaction handed my receipt while he was talking to the woman and what did not provide direct eye contact as he did so. It was a horrible experience. I do not spend my money where all people are not treated the same. The only good experiences I had were with the young people who greeted me who helped me and who were polite. read more

Not sure how this pharmacy is still in business. Literally my doctor called in a prescription and they just didn't fill it. Then said they never got it. Suggested I go to urgent care if I really needed the med. acted like my doctor must be lying about calling it in. It was for an antiviral but she acted like I was narcotic seeking or something. No ability to call ahead to check because no one answers phone "our system isn't working ".... For phone calls? Last month my doc sent through a script that was supposed to be delivered... never came.... No answering phone... go to find out what happened 2 days in and apparently the pharmacist held it from delivery because it might interact with another med. never called me to let me know, never called my doctor to check... just didn't send it. This Pharmacy is a disaster. This is a larger store and the pharmacy is open 24 hours. This is specifically for the pharmacy: The least time I have ever waited in line in 15 minute (which let me be honest is forever) The longest I have waited in line was 45 minutes and no joke the line went to the front door. This CVS is quite large...so imagine how long the line is. So while you are waiting in line there are people in line who are sneezing, coughing, wheezing or in some general pain-It is a great place to get ill. The only time I was able to walk up with a 5 minute or less wait was at 2:00 AM...Any other time of the day-get ready to wait-bring a book or magazine...you could hand knit a whole sweater with how long they make you wait. When you finally get your turn after you have aged 5 years from when you first started waiting-the cashiers at the pharmacy are not rude but they seem bothered that you came to get your prescriptions. What I do not understand if the store and pharmacy are this large why don't they have enough people working the pharmacy or the store?? There have 3 different cash wraps at the pharmacy but only 1 person is working the cash wrap. If you call them and they tell you that your prescriptions will be ready in an hour add another 1.5 hours to the time they gave you. Prescriptions are never ready...or they have to look all over the earth for your prescription. Oh and they are always out of medication-everything is always on back order. Get your meds filled elsewhere. read more

Pharmacies can be hit or miss in general but the one at this CVS is especially bad - due to its proximity I have to come here a lot (unfortunately) and it is almost always a negative experience- not because of the long lines necessarily (although that's a big part of it too), but the people behind the Pharmacy counter are consistently rude and aggressively unhelpful- the general impression is that you (the customer) are lucky they are talking to you at all. Today was the worst experience of all - the pharmacy attendant was so unpleasant , dismissive and rude that this was unquestionably my last visit to this place. No matter how convenienty close it is, enough is enough - I'm driving the extra couple miles to Rite Aid as of today. read more

Their answering machine drops the call so I had to call them 4 times back and it takes so long to maneuver through their machine to finally get a person. Nicest CVS in the area. They're really trying over here with all the new lighting the store looks great in the beauty aisle to the left. The rest of the store looks like the any other CVS. The way they've renovated the aisles makes you want to buy all kinds if things you probably don't need. They've got a selection of Hello Kitty skincare that's actually pretty good. I bought the lipgloss and it makes my lips soft pretty quickly and smells like candy. read more

This CVS always has my prescription in stock, and I love that they're open 24/7. Just like any establishment, the employees are what makes the difference. My experience with the pharmacy staff after normal business hours is exceptional, but I understand it's also off peak hours. When I go earlier in the day, they are understaffed and overwhelmed. I can't blame the staff when it's the business that doesn't equip them with enough people. Front end staff are always helpful and friendly. Super grateful to the person today that realized (before I did) that the price wasn't right, and called a mgr to help before I finished checking out. read more

There is always a long line and this location is perpetually understaffed, even prior to Covid. I gave an extra star though because this store is huge and has so much inventory and even a pretty good variety of food and drink. There's always parking as well since their lot is huge. read more

This used to be a great store, staffed with excellent pharmacy staff, especially late at night during emergencies. That was at least 10 years ago. I have had two emergencies in the last 8-12 weeks. The last one very few people were in the store. I had to wait from 8:30PM until 11PM before I received my Rx. I personally observed the 3 pharmacy staff members laughing and talking among themselves without a care in the world, completely ignoring me, as I stood waiting, in great distress. The phones were ringing off the hook and no one would pick up a single line! I told them I had already spoken with my physician and he was trying to call in a Rx for me. I had him on my cell waiting to give them the Rx, but of course they would not speak with him in my phone. And every time the phone would ring, I asked them to please pick it up as my physician had been trying to reach them. They laughed at me. They completely disregarded my physician's attempts to give them my Rx. After two hours, they finally picked up the phone. It was my doctor. I then waited 30 more minutes before I received the Rx. After that experience I swore I would call Corporate the next day. I forgot. Same thing is happening tonight. After my doctor waited on the phone for 20 minutes he gave up and left a VM and called me. I have been calling since 8PM. After an hour on hold, I hung up and redialed the store. Not a single department would pick up, except photo! The guy was very nice and said who get the store supervisor, Rickquia, who listened and offered to walk down to pharmacy and stand there until I was called back, no longer than 5 minutes. Within 5 minutes, I received a call back from her. She said by the time I got there (a mile away) the Rx would be ready. Believe me, I will not forget to make Corporate aware of whatever there store number is. This lack of service, blatantly ignoring the lone customer for more than two hours is unconscionable! When you are standing the the foreverland long line, you see the clerks ignore the store speaker, 3 CALLS FOR PHARMACY, instead they prefer to pretend to stack empty shopping hand carry baskets - oh so much more important than actually working or helping customers.Since I find this at every CVS STORE, it must be part of their store training program, Chapter 1, treat customers miserably‼ Besides the clerks off in space, there was only one very hard working strawberry blonde pharmacist workin the phones. There was a Pharmacy Tech busy with standing. The pharmacy was woefully understaffed, per Chapter 2 of CVS Manager's HANDBOOK - No staff means no customer service and drive them away! Approximately 20 people standing in line, lady parked in wheelchair and left alone, near cashier. Five or more people gave up and sat down. Two cashiers were trying very hard. The 2nd Chapter of Manager's Handbook, "Make sure most shelves are empty, especially any marked on Sale Special" Yes, folks everywhere they eye could see, multiple shelves completely empty, all over store. This is by the the WORST pharmacy I have ever been to. I read the reviews and thought to myself, how bad can a pharmacy actually be.. boy was I in for a treat. The pharmacists here are the worst! Really awful and S..L..O..W service even when the lines are very long. Where is the sense of urgency??? They are not helpful at all when I've had questions regarding my prescriptions. They have also charged me for medicine when I should have been charged. When this was brought up to their attention, they just told me to call my insurance company since they did not want to deal with it. I've had to come back and forth multiple times to deal with issues, each time met with unpleasant people unwilling to help. I switch pharmacies thinking this would be more convenient due to the location being closer to my work. This has been a HUGE mistake! I went there with my friend to buy allergy medicine. I asked pharmacist If I can use their restroom he told me to go talk to a front desk in a rude manner. I asked front desk the same question, he replied it's closed. A minute later my friend ( she is a girl) asked the same question and the door was instantly opened. So sad they discriminate men. When I was paying for my medicine I pointed this out and all of the cashiers got into argument with me. Been going here for years and was happy with the services but on my last visit the pharmacist (forgot his name) stepped it up a notch!!! I misplaced my medication and missed a few days of taking it and thought no biggie. I asked for a refill and unfortunately it was not due time so I had to wait. The pharmacist explained to me the medication must be consistent and to have my dr put in a new order immediately. I thought nothing of it and went without for a few weeks until my check up and the results were disappointing because I was careless in following through as was told by the pharmacist. Looking back I realized he was right but most of all he spoke to me in a caring manner (not common around here). I will thank him on my next visit if he's there. read more

I went here to fill a prescription for pain medicine after oral surgery. I was in serious pain. They took my prescription, I waited for about half an hour before asking what was up. They couldn't find a record of my prescription. I had to insist they look for it. Well, it was sitting in a box--sitting there!--the whole time. I waited another hour for them to fill it, while my daughter was waiting to be picked up. They don't have a good system for keeping track of prescriptions. So I made an appointment two weeks ago and when I showed up on Saturday, they inform me about why they ran out and no one got the vaccines that day. Then they informed me that I have to call back to see if they can the vaccine once they have it. They asked me to call back on Monday. I made the unfortunate decision to come at noon on this weekday, thinking it would be easy in and out. I was sadly wrong. First of all, parking was hard to find in this relatively large lot - but whatever, they share it with Starbucks and SanSai and the Postal Store and other food places, and it's lunchtime. I walked in and happily grabbed my three things. When I saw that the two cashiers that were open had 3-4 people in each, I walked right up to the self checkout. Woohoo! Easy, right? Well, one of my hair products rang up at a $1 higher price than the shelf sticker price. I was in a rush, so I figured I'd eat that dollar - until I tried to scan my $4 off a $20 purchase coupon printed from my email. All I heard from there on was the annoying computer generated voice, announcing - well, really, LYING that help was on the way. And it wouldn't even let me move forward! Several minutes later, since no help arrived, I got into one of the lines that I was trying to avoid in the first place. As luck would have it, another (very nice) cashier opened up - but then she walked away for another several minutes to verify the incorrect price on my hair product. : (. And when I asked, she told me that the self checkout requires a cashier to take coupons - so when they have a line, you're basically dead last. Um, why would I use self checkout if there were CASHIERS AVAILABLE? Dammit, this is NOT my fave CVS location. read more

So we bought a balloon for my wife's Grandpa who is in a local recovery center. 15 feet from the door to the recovery center the balloon came loose from the ribbon and ended in a tree. I have been using this pharmacy each month for a yr or so. They are extremely polite and works as fast as they can. I wait for my scripts as I drive from Long Beach. 30 min max each month. This is an AWESOME CVS. If there is a line, it moves fast w/ 3 cashiers. They have many employees making sure the clients are taken care of. This is a spot you go to if you need a 24*7 pharmacy with an actual pharmacist----perhaps, the only one in Santa Monica! But, they are not fast, the place is filthy, and probably a dangerous spot. After waiting a really long time, they informed me they'd sold out of the painkiller UCLA prescribed. At least I can say, I didn't spend a dime here, nor would I ever go back. I'm not sure if it's an under staff issue or what not, what it takes forever to get my prescription filled. Waited in line for 15 minutes hoping that the staff could help me figure out how to properly dispose of expired Epi-Pens (which can be very dangerous if used incorrectly). Staff had no clue so asked the pharmacist who told them to tell me to throw them in the trash. That is not even close to the correct response. I researched the question and found out that disposal of expired meds in the trash or toilet is a series environmental problem. Meds can be dropped off at LA County Sheriff Stations or various S.A.F.E Collections Centers throughout the County (the closest is at UCLA).
