I told him that due to some scheduling conflicts, I had no choice but to reschedule the appointment at around 6 pm, but the pharmacist told me that I can come in at any time today to get the vaccine. I thanked him for the reassurance and I went here to get Meningitis ACWY and B versions. I wanted to take these two vaccines again because of the recent Meningitis B outbreak in England, and I didn't want to get Meningitis from someone who was recently in the UK. I don't want to sound rude or insensitive in any way, but I would rather be vaccinated than getting Meningitis. The pharmacist Jason was really gentle with me and he was really good at talking to me and calming me down. He didn't take too long to prepare the vaccines. I also told him about my COVID vaccine nightmare that happened to me over the weekend. I was bedridden and nauseous AF. I threw up several times at home. Jason asked me if the illness went away the next day and I told him that I fully recovered. He was really glad. I also told Jason that I read that people with a history of headache disorders are more likely to get the rare side-effects of the COVID vaccine. He told me that's likely possible. I told him that when I was 18, I was sexually exploited and the trauma of it has caused me to develop tension headaches. He told me that he was really sorry to hear what happened to me. He pinched my shoulder and then shook it to lessen the pain from the vaccines. It was worth it. He also used a single band-aid and put it vertically.

Wait time for prescriptions can be very long. even hours. Granted the fault is sometimes the customer who doesn't have the insurance worked out or the doctor's office. The drive through is great only if you're the first or second car, but not necessarily so if they're understaffed at the time you're there. 2. Biggest complaint in addition to the wait times is that someone will call saying the prescription is ready but you get there, and it's not. 3. Not Walgreen's fault but there are often homeless people hanging around the premises and sometimes panhandling. Also be aware that when the Tustin Brewery or other businesses across Newport Blvd. have no parking, people will park at Walgreens and walk across the street. Parking is better now that they've taken away the EV charging stations.

For anyone who could be hesitant to use a small, local pharmacy, remember that the big name pharmacies could care less about filling your Rx because at the end of the day, they get a paycheck from corporate. So if there's an issue with your Rx, sometimes there's zero effort to actually get it resolved in a timely efficient manner because of that. These smaller local pharmacies actually care to make sure Rx is filled because they are paid by the insurance companies. That's what keeps them in business. I finally decided to switch to a pharmacy that was closer to where I had moved, in North Orange County. That was about 8-months ago. The reason for the updated review is because in the last 2-months Tustin Pharmacy has run my prescription refills without me asking for refills. And since they are running them without my consent when I attempt to order refills at my new pharmacy they cannot process the refills because it looks like I have already picked up the prescriptions. Over the last 2-months I have had to call my insurance company and they have had to intervene by calling Tustin Pharmacy. What REALLY made me mad this month is that Tustin Pharmacy actually called me last week saying "calling to let you know your prescriptions are ready" and I specifically told them to please back them out, and remove my prescriptions from their system. And here I am a week later... they ran them without my consent and I am having to have my insurance company step-in again so I can pick up my medications. DON'T USE TUSTIN PHARMACY!
