This store reminds me of something you'd see in the 1960's Texas! Old and worn interior. Short staffing allows for customers standing in line while the employees respond to the locked anti theft cabinets. 6 people in line and one sales clerk. CVS thought, as most other retailers do, that self serve check out, would lower the labor cost. I refuse to actually work for CVS and pay them for the pleasure. read more

This is a huge CVS. Came here for some cosmetics. Was able to find what I came for except for eyeshadow. They don't have any selection of eyeshadow. For the most part, you will find what you're looking for here. A lot of things are locked up though, which means you need assistance to get it out. Unfortunately, there was only one person working the cash register and no other staff members available on the floor. Items aren't well organized, they're a bit messy. Order said it would be ready by 10am I come in at 11:40 and they don't have it printed. I don't mind waiting I get it, but I wait 30 minutes for one card. The guy "helping" slowly goes back and forth from the computer to the printer and looks clueless. I finally ask how much longer it'll take and the guy goes "looks like the printer isn't working so i'm not sure" If you don't know how to use the printer tell me right away instead of wasting my time. I want to express my disappointment with the way my parents and I were treated by an employee named Mia during our recent visits to CVS. When my mother politely asked Mia whether a product had a discount, Mia responded in a rude and dismissive tone, saying, "It should." Not only was this unhelpful, but also very unprofessional. Later, while we were trying to pay, Mia abruptly yelled "It's closed," referring to a checkout machine--again with no courtesy or explanation. This kind of behavior is unacceptable in a customer service role. Unfortunately, this isn't the first negative encounter we've had with Mia. On a separate visit, she was assisting me while talking on her phone using headphones, making it clear she was distracted and uninterested in helping. Her attitude consistently gives the impression that she does not want to be there, and it shows in how she treats customers. CVS is a trusted brand, and many of us choose to shop there for the quality and care we expect. But experiences like this make customers think twice about returning. I don't like to leave reviews but I feel like I need to . Whenever my daughter calls the pharmacist Jessica was the rudest and does not want to help and would say she can't get her meds they are out of stock. When she would call and speak to someone else that same day like David or Aaron they have the meds in stock. My daughter gets severe depilating migraines and only one med she has works. When she is out she is unable to get out of bed in pain and throwing up. Today Jessica yelled at her and did not let her talk she told her " I spoke to you already today and when my daughter told her she has not talked to her at all she replied " well I told someone to call, I guess they didn't " she would then say " we are out of your med call back tomorrow " my daughter asked if she can order it today Saturday and she yelled no. My daughter works in healthcare if she treated patient that way she would be in trouble . Jessica should not be working in this field with that attitude, she's messing with people's lives. Every time I purchase Barefoot wine from this store it is rotten. I mean ROTTEN. The wine is dark yellow like urine and it stinks terrible. I have returned wine and complained and they do nothing. Shame on SCAN for choosing CVS as the store for OTC benefits, especially this store. Only one clerk at the cashier, who would rather sort out price labels than deal with any of the for customers waiting on the insured line. I detest self checkout but waited while days clerk assisted a customer at the only working self checkout, as the other station was in eternal reset mode. This is the same mode this machine was in last December when I went in to get a sense of the then forthcoming OTC benefits change. What can one expect when the attitude of corporate management flower down to store management selection and training other than the selection and training of such desultory customer facing employees? I will only buy what is covered by the OTC benefit when essential. Prescriptions stay at Sav-On across Newport, where there there is rarely more than one customer in the line ahead of me, must recall my face and some my name. Save your inside apology and entry that I return and give your store another try. Save that for the inevitable grooving apology that you will soon be giving to your manager, though they already know the full story but incapable of changing a decrepit corporate culture. read more

I have had no issues with the Pharmacy. The staff are always cordial and professional. The pharmacists are very knowledgeable and courteous. Also, they will call to advise of any issues with prescription. I have nothing bad to say about the pharmacy. This is my" go to" store for vaccinations. I use the CVS app to make an appointment. Very little wait time. I'm usually done in 5-10 minutes. My one star deduction is for the general store. Many of the popular medical supplies and/or OTC meds are often sold out. I purchased $50.00 gift cards totaling $200.00 for Xmas gifts for out of town relatives. After Christmas I was notified that the gift card I had sent to my relatives had a zero balance on each one.. When I went to CVS they were very much aware that their gift cards especially Amazon and Visa had been used by thieves and then put back on the rack. Leaving unsuspecting customers with zero on these cards however paying full price. I asked if they knew this was a ongoing problem why wouldn't CVS put them behind the counter.. Manager explained that they were told regardless of this problem they must be displayed. After 4 months of dealing with CVS corporate office (which I must say was not pleasant) They decided I was correct and did refund my money. If this happens to you the management will not help you at the store no exceptions. If you need a prescription filled and picked up asap, go to a different pharmacy. This CVS pharmacy is very slow and likes to put people in long lines to wait for their needed medications. Dropoff and pickup both with people waiting for service. Do something about this CVS management! Even your phone system stinks, have to call multiple times to get a real person to check if my prescription is ready! And I get here to wait in a 30 min line. Unacceptable for a pharmacy dispensing medication people need. Go somewhere else. UPDATE: after waiting 30 mins in pickup line, I get to the window only to be told to take a seat and wait as my prescription was being "re-processed"...after I had called multiple times to confirm my prescription was ready for pickup (I was told it was ready). Then I waited an extra 30 mins waiting for my prescription to be "re-processed". I eventually got tired of waiting and went to the counter to ask if my prescription was ready, if it was not I would like my insurance card back, and the pickup girl said "I think it is ready now". She went to grab the prescription and printout only to come back to tell me the prescription was not covered by my insurance for my 3 year old daughter, and they checked 3 times to see if it was covered. Antibiotics not covered under Cigna HMO? That sounds wrong to me (I work in healthcare for govt administrator). It can't be that my 3 year old is not covered or on my insurance policy because my daughter just had a doctor's visit that same morning using our HMO insurance? Did CVS pharmacy even check the insurance coverage or did they just tell me that to get me to pay out of pocket and out of their hair at this cvs pharmacy? The dropoff counter was a mess long line and 4 or 5 calls on hold. They could not even verify my insurance and do the paperwork correctly and in a timely manner. Absolutely unacceptable service at this pharmacy. I can understand if you are understaffed on a weekend, but there is a difference between understaffed and incompetent. My experience today at this pharmacy makes me think the latter is the case here. End of the story is I left this CVS pharmacy without my prescription after waiting for an hour to pickup a prescription I was told over the phone was ready for pick up. I called the provider and got them to move the script to somewhere else. No issues getting my prescription from the new pharmacy, I waited in line for about 15 mins, they checked my insurance and the script was covered (no surprise), it cost me $15 when CVS pharmacy was fine with me paying out of pocket even though I have good insurance. The whole process to get my script moved somewhere else and get ready for pickup at the new pharmacy took half the time I spent waiting at this CVS pharmacy to pickup a script that was supposed to be ready! Really disheartened by my experience at this CVS pharmacy. Medications need to be treated with more priority and concern from your pharmacy staff! What a joke at this pharmacy! read more

Overall the service is OK. Pharmacy is OK. The 2 stars is for forcing auto-refill that happened recently. I was surprised to receive an email and notification either the doctor office rejected the refill request, and also my insurance notified me a set of auto-refill claim and its cancelation. Those medicines are meant for one time only. I called them, they said "Oh, you must have clicked yes for auto-refill when picking up the medicine." Really? I clearly recall there is no such question on the terminal. And in my doctor's orders didn't say there is a refill. And it happened 3 times already. I have to call them to cancel these auto-refill, yet, the automated refill reminder calls keep coming still, twice a day, everyday. Very annoying. read more

I'm giving three stars because some people who helped me were useless, but then I asked someone else and they were incredibly helpful. So, three stars is a happy medium. I needed an emergency inhaler to get me through the weekend, as I live far away and I'm visiting family. I didn't have a prescription, but I saw online that CVS can give you over the counter inhalers for emergencies, and they're temporary relief inhalers (no prescription needed). I waited in line at the pharmacy and explained to the girl helping me what I needed, and she said that they could absolutely do that for me, but to come back in an hour or so, as part of the pharmacy was closed for lunch. She even verified with someone else that they could get me an inhaler. When I came back, the new girl that I spoke to said that they couldn't give me any type of inhaler without a prescription, and another girl seconded that. So I had two girls say yes, then two new girls say no. With that, all of these girls were in the pharmacy department within feet of one another, so I guess none of them communicate to one another, and half of them apparently don't know what's going on back there. I decided to not give up, and asked the store cashier outside of the pharmacy. I showed him a picture of what I saw online, and within minutes he went and got it for me. This cashier's name was Mario. Mario saved me, and now I can breathe! The pharmacy should really learn what is stocked, and what alternatives they can suggest to customers. The girls in the back really seemed to not care that I was struggling. Bummer, given that they're supposed to be trained healthcare professionals, and a cashier surpassed them greatly. read more
