Drive thru window should be a pleasant experience however the incompetence of the staff at CVS had me up in arms. I went here after filling a paper RX, the lady told me that insurance wasn't going to cover it until a later period. Well that period of time was 5 days ago. When I came thru the window again and spoke with the clerk he said he wasn't able to fill it. I was outraged with the time it had taken to get this whole process going. His manager came and said that the insurance was billed recently and the next time the prescription would be filled is an additional 5 days. I would normally be fine with that answer however, the manager kept asking me the same question over and over again... "did I fill this prescription at another pharmacy?" She kept asking and I would answer her with an empathetic "no." She asked me as if I don't understand what she was saying. At the end of the conversation, I was pretty much fed up with the way that she questioned me and their incompetence. I no understand why they only have 2 stars to begin with. I would use plenty of caution when working with people at this pharmacy. They think we're the problem however by reading these comments you can easily tell they're the ones with an issue. read more

Not bad, much nicer than the CVS on YL Blvd @ Rose. The pharmacy staff is friendly and competent. The drive-thru is excellent! The store is well stocked, fairly clean. Chase ATM and Kodak Photo Center inside. They also sell liquor & cigarettes. Pricier than Target or Amazon (a dental guard for teeth grinding was TWICE as much as Amazon, about $15 more!). It's a couple blocks away from my house, so sometimes it's convenient. read more

My friend and I were looking for a prescription this was the first among three CVS's we went to. They sent us on a goose chase because they would not call ahead to find a specific prescription we needed. The first Walgreens went to did not have the prescription, however, they did call ahead so that we wouldn't have to continue our wild goose chase. Went to minute clinic for what I thought was a upper respiratory infection and was told I have a form of asthma and a small infection. Then was told I needed an inhaler which I was told would be $10 then found out I needed to go to another CVS. The second CVS told me it was $60, which my insurance apparently did cover more than $5! After spending $100 I contacted my general physician on Monday which stated I needed a antibiotic, which I first thought, and I didn't have asthma. This story is a lot longer but I don't feel like writing it all. No more minute clinic for me and I won't be going to CVS anymore. $100 dollars down the drain. read more

Pharmacist not helpful. I requested a specific flavor medicine because I have trouble getting my son to take medicine. I attempted to verify the flavor with the pharmacist tech, who offered to smell it. I said no thanks (the pharmacist was standing right behind him), please just ask the pharmacist. The worst pharmacy ever!!!! The pharmacy staffs are not friendly and not helpful. They only want to take care of easy prescriptions. They always in a hurry if you have a lot of questions. All of the staff have the same attitude, even the pharmacists. They suppose to give an excellent service since they are dealing with ill people, but they do otherwise. I came to get a prescription. The staff told me that she needs to contact the insurance and will give me a call. After 1.5 hours waiting and didn't receive the phone call, I called back and she hasn't done anything. She called the insurance right after I called her. She said she needs authorization from the doctor. She told me that she already faxed the request to the doctor's office, but she faxed to a wrong doctor. That is a very dangerous action...sending someone's prescription to a wrong doctor. Scary....!! And also, when I complaint to the pharmacist, he even backed her up. What kind of service is that???? read more

I scheduled an appointment for the CVS clinic at the CVS in Yorba Linda for a D.O.T. physical exam which their website claims they do the exams at that location, took time off from work to make my appointment and then was told they can't do the exam because there's no nurse practitioner on duty. Don't waste your time going to CVS clinic go to an Urgent Care instead!!! read more

I'm changing all my prescriptions to a drug store that is not a CVS. I've had it with this store! Its pretty bad when you come from the hospital after surgery and can't get prescriptions delivered!!! I have been using this pharmacy for at least 10 years. I find all the staff to be competent and extremely professional. Tracy and Eric are two of the finest pharmacist I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. They greet me by name, even though I have not seen them for several months; and speedily fill any prescriptions I may have. The two star reviews are unfair in my opinion. Most problems are caused by denials by the insurance companies, not the pharmacy staff. read more

Like many of the other assessments/posts before me regarding the poor customer service and experience with the pharmacy, I too can now relate to many of the comments. Our family has been using this pharmacy exclusively since it opened and as time has gone by, we've been disappointed by the poor service, particularly the lack of communication regarding medications. On several occasions, including today I went through the drive through, where the pharmacist told me the prescription would be ready in one hour. Came back 1.5 hours later only to be told they lost the prescription. Finally located and didn't have the correct amount of medication. Could have called and communicated this to me, but asked me to come back later, then told me it was not covered by insurance. Took 2.5 hours out of my day. Ultimately left with nothing, and went to Rite-Aid where it was filled in three minutes and I was out the door. read more

After a few issues with this CVS...I'm Yelp'g their butt in hopes people find a better pharmacy. I've gone here because it has a drive-through and it's the closest to my home. So let's just start by saying Pharmacy...customer service stinks. So when you're sick and you feel bad, there is nothing better than hearing that the pharmacy doesn't have the prescription on file while at the drive-through. After all the MD and RN has nothing better to do than call it in TWICE to your sorry ass. So now that I'm inside, trying hard not to give anyone else this crappy virus, you admit you didn't "put the first one in they system." The line "go sit and wait while we get to it" warms the green mucous that I now want to put in your tea. I get to wait for 20 minutes. In that 20 minutes you apologize to no less than 4 people. First one is me...and I'm pissed. Second one is a guy who apparently filled a prescription in October for 90-days, is now out of medicine, but can't get insurance to pay until 2/2 (it's 1/31). Here's a clue...you work for us not the insurance companies. Your job is to FIX the issue, not keep to insurance company lines in favor or not giving some poor guy his med. Second, was a woman that you told that you didn't have her medication...only to have you say, a minute later, oh, wait...it was in the wrong box. Ok, now I'm all warm and fuzzy...you're mis-filing drugs. Last, some poor woman waiting longer than me when she's been setting next to me coughing up green-smurfs larger than the Mucinex commercial. The worst Customer Service. On 12/10/16 we bought 20 bottles of CVS brand Isopropyl Alcohol, ( the total was around $54.00) used in our business. We over bought by 5 bottles. The next day I returned the unopened bottles to the store on 18080 Imperial Hwy. Yorba Linda, CA. The cashier Bonnie was extremely rude. I told her I don't want the cash back a store credit would be fine. She looked at me and said "You're not getting cash back" I said I understand a store credit is fine. She proceeded to take the bottles from the bag and slamming them down on the counter next to her. She acted like I was taking money out of her pocket. She gave me the CVS card glared at me and didn't say another word. She acted like I was being dishonest. I said thank you, she said nothing. I will not do business with a store that hires people who are not competent to hold even a "Customer Service" position. I have never been treated so poorly, and it will be the last time for this CVS. So I guess CVS has Bonnie to thank for the loss of a good customer. read more

Went to the CVS minute clinic. We arrived at 7:05pm. They close at 7:30pm. There is a sign on the check-in kiosk that says that you must check in at least 15 minutes prior to closing, to be seen. The nurse told us it was too late and that she cannot check us in because it was too close to closing time. What?!?!?! I asked her to please help us out as we really needed my son to be seen. CVS on Imperial hwy is HORRIBLE. I highly recommend getting your prescriptions somewhere else. I was on automatic refills & they were always missing a couple of my prescriptions & i would have to call to remind them to refill them when i was on automatic refill. Tracey one of the managers is Horrible.. She can't speek english, or you can barely understand what she's saying, she's rude, you would never think she's a manager she's horrible at speaking to customers. Tracey told me this last time I went in that I have to drop off my prescription the same day It was supposed to be ready & picked up. Many times when i was supposed to pick up my prescription they would say oh we don't have that in stock. Some of the pills i need cause Im in alot of pain, I get them every month & half of the time they screw something up & ive been going there for a few years. I had to change I couldn't believe how incompetent they are at that pharmacy & not being able to understand their english...btw Your in AMERICA learn the language, especially if you are going to work with customers, they need to understand what you're saying especially in this field.. read more

This is the worst cvs pharmacy I have ever been too. First of all... When a place has hours of when they close they need to actually close at that time...NOT BEFORE. I went in to pick up my prescription and it was 8:56 and they close at 9... It was already filled and ready to pick up, but the Asian lady that was working told me they were closed. Ummmm, no you close at 9!!! All you had to do was not be lazy and go grab my prescription and let me pay and then I would be on my merry way and by the time the transaction could of been finished it would of been before 9. Doesn't take that long. But no, she just had to be lazy and was clearly trying to leave early and wouldn't let me pick it up, also not to mention she was standing near the register and the pharmacy Windows inside were still open. It's a medication that I can NOT be without either. Also, there has been multiple times where I would drop off my prescription and they would say they were out of it and that it would be back in stock on a certain date and to call, so I called then said that they couldn't give me the information over the phone and that I would need to come in. So I went in, and took time out of my day...And what do you know, they are still out of it (and that was a week of waiting already). So once again they promised another certain date they would have it and to call... Same thing happened... Made me come in and take MORE time out of my day to wait and then find out they were still OUT OF IT. SO OVER THIS PHARMACY. read more

I use to go to this pharmacy for years and I've had nothing but problems. I started going to Placentia Linda Pharmacy in Placentia off Rose and YLB (next to Big Lots) and the staff is very professional, friendly, medication is always in stock and I don't have the problems I had at the big chain pharmacies and my medication is half the cost of those big chain pharmacies. I went to the Minute Clinic here at the CVS Pharmacy on Imperial Highway and Eureka street in Yorba Linda last week. The nurse practictioner with the long dark/black hair was extremely unfriendly and unhelpful. The nurse practitioner also discriminates against people and acts like a snob and like no one can understand what she is saying so she talks down to people. I have my Master's degree in psychology, and obtained my bachelor's degree in biology, so I'm intelligent too. Right now, I'm going through some financial hard times so at this moment I'm stuck with CalOptima/Medi-Cal until I make more money and can get my job to pay for my medical insurance. The nurse practitioner talked to me in a condescending manner (talked down to) because I currently have Medi-Cal/Cal Optima medical insurance. ON top of that she starts saying, "Oh we don't take that" when in fact a few minutes before I had called the CalOptima/Medical Office asking if that particular Minute Clinic took CalOptima/Medi-Cal, and CalOptima/Medi-Cal office told me YES that that Minute Clinic does accept CalOptima/Medi-Cal AND that they ALSO accept my medical group as well. By the way that the nurse practitioner was acting then it really showed that she discriminated against people who currently have CalOptima/Medi-Cal medical insurance and that she showed in every way that she didn't genuinely want to help me. If you want to be around a nurse practitioner that is unfriendly, unhelpful, ignorant, and that likes to discriminate then visit this Minute Clinic. However, if you want to be treated with respect, and be around someone who is friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and intelligent then go to another Minute Clinic because this is NOT the Minute Clinic that anyone should go to. read more

After extracting 3 wisdom tooths and being so much in pain, i went to this this cvs. I informed the pharmacy cashier that I was in so much pain and begged if they could expedite. There were maybe 2,3 customers. First the intern cashier took a long time to punch in the info. That was fine. We all have been job trainees. But what I am so anguished about is the pharmacist annoyed facial expression. Behind the counter, working on the precription, he, an Asian male, looked straight at me, no smile, no greeting. I was holding on to bottom of my mouth where 3 wisdom tooth were extracted because it was swelling and I was so much I pain. Usually, at other pharmacies, when they see any one in pain, they at least give empathetic look or any look of console. No he kept staring directly at me. And when I went up to the cashier because my name was called because my prescription was ready, again, the cashier (different person) greeted every customer except me. . They all seemed annoyed because I was frowning because I was in so much pain....anyway, this cvs branch should be reported to the headquarters for being so cold, not accommodating to people in pain. The Asian pharmacist is so uncaring and arrogant. Don't go here if you are sick. There is a saying, " best medicine is medicine prepared by caring heart".
