They then said "it's probably a tie rod and they'll have to take it somewhere else to determine if the damage and noise was due to the accident".... Yes, it was, on the report and PAID to Sonny's to fix! I have used Sonny's for 30+ years, the latest ownership ain't no Sonny. The travel and time spent so far on this PAID for job is now more than I've spent on the deductable. I do not recommend, nor trust this shop. I will repair it out of my own pocket rather than get them a opportunity to not fix the agreed upon paid for work. As of now five 72 mile trips to have my car not fixed. Cheaper to deal with it locally, by a trustworthy business. caveat emptor

Upon making an appointment over the phone with this auto-shop to install an electrified hitch on our 2015 SUV (for which this part is readily available) they asked for our credit card info in advance of bringing our vehicle in for service. We gave it to them, assuming that we would be consulted before any charges were applied to our card. We were wrong in that assumption. After talking with a car savvy friend we learned that the quote Redmond Automotive offered was entirely too high, "that's highway robbery!", our friend said, and so we called to cancel our appointment. Said appointment was over one week away from the time our cancelation. When we spoke with a representative re: our need to cancel this appointment, we were told that we would be reimbursed for all charges to our credit card. After four days passed and our card had not yet been refunded, we called again to check on the reimbursement. At that point we were told that they do not offer refunds and that the charges would stick. NOTE: Redmond Automotive charged our credit card for the FULL QUOTE for work that was NEVER done. The part had merely been ordered. NO work had been done, they didn't even have our car. Yet they charged us for the LABOR (never happened) and the part. In trying to come to terms over this egregious charge in person with the owner of Redmond Automotive , we were verbally insulted and our requests for a full refund were denied. We were left paying 3x what we know the part costs at Advanced Auto. 3 times! Gross. We ended up paying for this over-priced part, needless to say, we will never return to this business. We hope this review spares you any trouble as well.

I was completely satisfied with the work done. We figured out that the same parts were replaced a year earlier at another facility after an auto accident. I won't mention the name of that facility, but they also charged my insurance company for service they didn't do. Not to mention the suspension parts failure a year later could have ended up in a dangerous situation. John and his team had me back up and running. Fast forward 2 weeks later, I managed to get a screw stuck in my tire. Terrible time of year (Nov) to try to get a tire repair done. After calling several tire shops, who were booked out weeks, I attempted to call the service dept of the dealership where I purchased my car AND the tires. After having to call back twice and told that they couldn't get me in for a month or so (for a 10 min tire repair) I decided to give Redmonds a call. John said to bring it in right away and they would take a look at it. About 10 min after arriving I was patched up and back on the road. No charge. Moral of the story - honest work and good customer service go a long way! Redmond will get my business for any future repairs (or tire purchase!). The big fancy dealership who can't be bothered to accommodate a 10 min tire repair, not so much. They lost any future sales for a car, tires or service. Redmond Auto for the win!

At drop-off, I spoke with Mary Jean, who agreed over the phone that I could pay the repair balance in installments since I needed to use my savings to purchase a temporary beater car. Based on that agreement, I went ahead and bought an inexpensive vehicle and waited for the repairs. Once the work was completed, the entire agreement was suddenly denied. I was then contacted by Deb, who immediately began pressuring me to either pay the full balance upfront or sell my car to them at an extremely low and unrealistic price. When I refused, she informed me they would start charging $100 per month just to keep my repaired vehicle on the lot--something never disclosed in advance. She repeatedly referenced a supposed "normal" rate of $100 per day as if it were a threat, even though none of this was part of the original conversation with Mary Jean. The behavior felt strategic and manipulative, designed to corner me into selling them my car. When I arrived with the $2,000 I had borrowed from a friend, the visible shock on Deb's face said everything--she clearly expected I'd have no choice but to give in. The entire situation made me feel like they were taking advantage of someone they assumed couldn't push back. The store manager refused to speak with me by phone and insisted on email only, adding to the frustration. Throughout the ordeal, I received dismissive remarks, including being told I "couldn't be trusted" to pay--even though their last-minute changes were the only reason the situation escalated. I genuinely cannot understand how a business operates this way and stays open. Between the shifting terms, undisclosed fees, pressure tactics, and lack of basic professionalism, this was one of the worst experiences I've had with any repair shop. I would strongly advise others to avoid Olsen's entirely.

I called and spoke to Mike who told me to bring it right in - whether it could be patched or not, I also requested a tire rotation (when at Juniors I suppose). He asked my expectations on timing and I told him I was just glad they could get me in. A few hours later, Richard calls to tell me it's done and no charge for the tire rotation. What? I politely declined and insisted on paying for the rotation. I share this story not so others will expect to "get something for free" but instead to expect high-touch, friendly, communicative, timely service at (IMHO) a a great rate! The entire team there could not have been better and although I live in Metro Detroit, I try to visit TC often and I can say with confidence, when it's time for new tires - I will consider driving up to see the Juniors crew. Code showed a "low boost" from the turbo, and the reader suggested the most likely fix is a new turbo. Not what we wanted to hear. Fortunately Tom at Northern Auto dug deeper and found more dtc's present, and located a service bulletin suggesting transmission wiring issues could be the trouble. He found the connection loose and dirty. After cleaning and ensuring a good connection, he tested and found the issues gone. Just happily picked the car up with thanks to the team for a great job and a happier than expected outcome!

On July 3, 2023 I took the car to Tuffy in Cadillac Michigan to have the oil checked and they found the oil to be excessive by 1 1/2 quarts. Way too much and they drained it down to the correct level.
