Operations manager Kyle McKinney did a great job assessing my situation (raccoons in the attic as I'd expected and evidenced by their fresh tracks) and showed me where in the chimney they were probably getting in (rotting boards). He suggested I get a construction person to repair it properly. He picked up a dead roach for me in my house, too. All at no cost! And on a Saturday! My HEROS! Call these folks! I'd been using the same post control company for over seven years. Until a rat ate up the wiring behind my new dishwasher! When I needed rats REMOVED from my home....they balked! Oh no, they only set bait outside. Oh no, they don't remove critters. So I picked up the phone and called Cypress Critters and Pests. Michael and Rheanon arrived at my door ONE HOUR later....and like rat ninjas immediately located all access points and sealed up my home. They set traps throughout my attic and behind the dishwasher. I've heard the term "above and beyond" many times. Usually, it is a bit hyperbolic, just meaning that someone did an excellent job. Well, this time, it is the gospel truth. When we heard the scratching in the walls, we knew we had to get something done fast. My wife did the internet search and said that one place really stood out. Yes, it was Cypress Critters and Pests. The reviews were glowing, and though I am well aware that internet reviews can be misleading, we were kinda panicked and needed somebody right away. Well, Cypress Critters did that and more. They weren't out the next day. They were out the next HOUR! Mike came over to do the inspection. What he found was scary in many ways. Not only did he find the source of the noise, a momma raccoon and several tiny babies nesting in the walls, he found that they had ripped a bloody great hole in my roof and attic. He took lots of pics, including a movie of the squirmy babies. Cute, yeah, but not in my walls. The next day he and Jerry were out with the traps and they installed big cages in several likely spots, including next to the access hole on the roof, as well as rat traps, since a hole like that was likely to attract other potential tenants. However, Mama Raccoon was pretty crafty, and she was too smart to be trapped. Instead, they moved around the house. Next time Mike looked, the babies were gone from the original location. So we waited. However, waiting was extremely nerve racking because of the enormous hole in my roof. And there was a big rainstorm coming. They had given me the name of a reliable roofer, but he hadn't answered his phone, so I called CC&P in a dither because I could envision all my sheetrock being ruined. Jerry earned my eternal gratitude by coming out the night before the heavy rain and installed an makeshift tarp tent around the hole. This would allow the mom to get out/trapped, but would cover the hole. The last thing you want is a raccoon loose but trapped in your house. It worked. No damage, even though the rain was mighty. Jerry is such a good guy, they should give him a white cowboy hat. But the coon family remained at large. I heard them in several places before suddenly, all the noises stopped. I really hoped they hadn't died in there, though that seemed unlikely. Jerry came out again and he walked the perimeter of the house. Sure enough, he found a soffit vent with a raccoon-sized hole where Momma had taken her babies and skedaddled. I hope she's happy, the (insert bad word here.) I assured Jerry I hadn't heard sounds for a couple of days, so he reinstalled a new vent with a strong screen under it to discourage re-entry, and later, he and Mike came and picked up the raccoon cages. They then disinfected the entire attic to prevent feces from festering, and to kill any fleas that might have disembarked from the raccoons during their stay. I've got a new roof now and have heard nothing from the walls since, but I keep Cypress Critters' number handy now, because I know exactly where I'm going to go if I experience these, or any other problems in the future. This company came highly recommended by a trusted friend, so we jumped in. Michael came out and was very respectful of my wishes to not spray inside our home. He showed me problem areas where pests could get in, recommended and closed up those areas and agreed to spray outside and in the attic to try and take care of our problem. I was so pleased when we no longer had issues. We've continued to hire them for maintenance treatments and I never feel pressured to spend more than I'm able to afford. They even got the cobwebs off the side of the exterior of the house before spraying, so that they wouldn't stick to painted surfaces after spraying. It takes a lot for me to leave a review. Even if I receive horrible service I will still just let it go. However, I was duped by the reviews on this place and spent money to have them do a job and it wasn't complete. I understand business. They tell you up front that in order to help eradicate the issue it will cost over a thousand dollars, BUT for $480 we can seal up an entry point and put traps in the attic, come back and check the traps.... well ..... the first visit he put down basic rat traps ( which still leaves questions) and HOPE they travel and get caught in them. ( which we could have done ourselves) IF they do they will come and take care of them.... ok.. well getting them to come and inspect was an initial problem but we hesitantly decided to let them do the job... He did the traps and put some food he was actually eating on there and left. He really had no solution for us. We called them to come out for the next visit and AGAIN it was hard to get them because they did not return the calls or anything in a timely manner. Finally he showed to check the traps and of course ... nothing! We tried to explain to him what we were hearing and ask him questions and all we got was I DON'T KNOW... we tried to schedule the next visit because there was a horrible smell in the attic and we believed that a rodent was caught and dead... NO RESPONSE...we called and texted... nothing!! We had to get it removed ourselves when we SPECIFICALLY PAID FOR FOLLOW UP VISITS !! AND FOR THEM TO DO THAT!! To this day no one has called us back or anything. What we paid for included them to come check.. So we never got our services we paid for AND THE RODENTS CONTINUE TO party in the attic. Totally unprofessional and I wish I would have just passed on this company.... just make sure you get what you pay them for.. WE DID NOT! I really wish I could get my money back because they did not keep up with their end of the deal. I will look into legal recourse for that. Just don't let the pictures dupe you. Look elsewhere... I guess I am what you call "lazy". The last couple years during winter an odor comes into the house, and includes scratching and noises. Knew it was either opossums or raccoons (or both) scurrying under the house. Unfortunately, I never took care of access points nor contacted the right people to assist. The odor returned last week and has become so noxious that I search and found Cypress Critters & Pests, and I am glad I did. They told me they could be out within a few hours even though it was raining and the ground was soaked. I explained my house is on piers and they said no problem. Came out and went under. Immediately found the smell but would have to come back to go searching the holes for the rodent (believed it was a carcass). Well, came back and a couple hours resulted in the smell, hair, bones and scat, but no animal or carcass. The general manager did a great job of explaining alternatives, but would NOT accept payment because he found no animal (I was looking forward to receiving the photo of the carcass). I would not have had a problem paying since he did something I had not done, but he declined. These guys are fast, honest and straightforward. I will definitely recommend them to anyone and call back when I execute the suggestions. Much better than the other people i have tried to use in the past. read more

For years this used to be a great company but sadly no longer is. Personnel are inconsistent/constantly changing & communication has rapidly deteriorated. Years ago I could call or text (supposedly preferred to voice mail per their outgoing message) & would get prompt responses. Over the last two years it has become a struggle to get a response, to get them to provide a scheduled appointment, to be notified of anything. I have to call &/or text multiple times before actually making contact. The final straw was my recent attempt to get a service appointment for an influx of American roaches. Àfter three attempts (both phone & text) over eight days without any response, I'm done. It should not be this hard to contact them, to actually speak to someone, especially as an existing customer. It became apparent they are not interested in maintaining a relationship & retaining my business. I can no longer in good faith recommend them as I have frequently over the years. I have now secured services with a different company who is professional, answers their telephone, is prompt, & actually more affordable -- all the things I used to experience with Cypress Critters. read more

Appointments are readily available, with the personal care only a small customer focus business can provide. Once Mike arrived he went straight to work, pointed out potential entry ways and even fixed my gutter stones the right way for me. Having used large companies like Terminix, you can tell the quality difference right away. My whole yard was sprayed not just 4 feet, plus I added the termite and fire ant 1 year guarantee: wow is this stuff powerful - it took care of two large mound instantly. Mike also sprays your walls, gutters, inside the garage, everywhere!!! Inside the house as well. Next, they took care of my attic by dusting a material which destroyed the eso skeleton of any critters. Finally I got the snake away, since it is The Woodlands after-all. We had a great experience with Cypress Critters & Pests. We had an opossum move into our garage and sent an email to request information for the humane removal of this little critter. Due to sending the email on the Friday before the New Year's holiday, I was expecting a response within a few days. Within two hours of my email, I was contacted by Kyle via text and the owner, Michael, via email. Kyle came to our home the next morning. Kyle was professional and very knowledgeable. He set two traps in the garage and the opossum was trapped within about 12 hours.
