Mike returned my call very quickly. He asked what was going on and then told me what I was probably up against. He scheduled a time that was convenient for me to come out and even called before he headed my way to make sure I was ready. They took plenty of time to show me the problem areas where the animals had been scratching and chewing on my siding. he then went over the options I had and explained the repair procedures as well as showed pictures of what it would look like before and after. He then scheduled another time to come out and make the repairs that I needed. Overall I am very pleased with Mike and Cypress Critters and Pests. After last years flood, we've seen an increase in roach activity in and around our home. The pesticide the original owners used was wearing off after 6 years, because normally anything that crossed the threshold died immediately. As soon as I saw the roaches coming found this place on yelp and called. Michael was able to fit me into the schedule right away. He came out and sprayed the inside and outside of the house and did the roach treatment. As soon as they finished spraying outside, it decided to start pouring. He immediately rescheduled to come back out the as soon as the weather would permit so they could spray outside again. Even though he came back to spray the outside and garage, he wanted to make sure he took care of all the bugs, so he retreated the inside for me. Brett and Justin were fantastic in setting the traps and sealing up the house so no other critters could get in. So far we have trapped FOUR raccoons from the attic which i have been assured have been humanely released into the wild. We used this service about a year ago when we were living in Houston, and have to say that Michael did an exceptional job both in terms of technical knowledge as well as personal interaction. As unpleasant as dealing with a rodent situation in ones home can be, Michael was a pleasure to deal with and took care of the issue. After the wife and I saw a rodent in the kitchen in the early morning hours, we looked up reviews and called Cypress later that Sunday. Michael answered the phone promptly and although he was already booked for that afternoon, he committed to come by as soon as that job was done, and he delivered. Inspected our home, gave us a quote, and got to work that same day laying traps, installing mesh barriers and generally being very helpful and professional in response to my questions. After the initial work (traps got 2 rats), Michael stopped by multiple times over the next several days to reset traps and inspect, as well as keeping in contact via text message on how the situation looked and if there was anything else he could do. Just had a really great experience with Cypress Critters and Pests. Mike came out today and did our first treatment. He was on time, courteous and very thorough (the other pest company was in/out in 20 minutes), but Mike stayed much longer (he went up into the attic, treated our soffits and every little nook and cranny). The treatment for fire ants and termites costs a little extra, but is good for a full year. The other thing I liked is that he said he would send me a text in 3 months and see if we wanted him to come out, but that if we didn't feel like we needed it that we could just say "no, thanks". Our former pest company would send out a postcard (or claim they did) and if we weren't home would just spray the outside, call it a day and send us an invoice. Mike said they would never do that, and only come by if we requested at the time of the text (if he doesn't receive an answer from our text, they won't come out). I called for a simple pest spray but he also checked the whole house and found dead birds in my attic plus a trail where rodents walked and left their droppings! It was quite a surprise, but he's the type of who shows you the issues and not just tells you about them. After using the same bug guy for years I noticed a drop off in quality and needed a good thorough service. Every review was overwhelmingly positive for Cypress Critters and mentions how great the owner is at servicing the property. Even our in-laws recommended him. My initial visit was slightly underwhelming but Jerry(General Manager) called me and profusely apologized for my less than stellar experience. Michael, the owner, reached out as well and was genuinely concerned about the service. Jerry came out free of charge two weeks later and showed me what the service should have been. He did a full inspection and pointed out things I would have never noticed. The spraying they do outside is one of the most thorough I've experienced. From back fence line to front yard, they spray your grass, your bushes, your mulch beds, just about any surface a bug will touch. For the inside they have a powder gun with a flexible tube that can get inside crevices where bugs may sneak through. All my concerns were addressed and Jerry made sure I was happy with my service. As an extra, he even got on my roof and screened off a vent that was a potential access point for pests. After the visit, Michael followed up again to see if I was happy with Jerry's service and offered a full refund if I was not. Normally I'd have a company out every quarter but they do such a good job making sure your property is protected, I'm having them out in a month just to give another knock out blow. read more

Hands down the best Pests control company in the Houston area, i had ants in my house, front and back yard. starting requesting quotes form different company and Micheal (owner) was very helpful over the phone and to my surprise one of the other companies that dose pest services recommend Cypress Critters & Pests and give me Micheal number and told me he is the best. i though that was very strange but Michael did a great job by adding me quickly for a full service. and what i like the most are 2 things. I was hearing some rodent noises in my attic so I did a Goggle search (probably like you're doing now) and came across Cypress Critters and Pests. After reading the great reviews, I decided to give them a call. I AM SO GLAD I DID! Michael came out the same day and gave me an estimate for the work. He did a thorough check and showed me all of the rodent signs and entry ways in the attic, on the roof, and in the garage. He explained everything in detail and gave me options on how I wanted to proceed. He gave me a fair and honest estimate which I thought was very reasonable for securing my entire house and giving me peace of mind. He didn't try to over sale me or scare me into buying something that I didn't need. He and his lovely wife and team mate Rheanan came out the next day to get started on filling all of the entry holes and laying down traps. While they were working, it started to rain. I offered if they wanted to come back another day to finish, but they politely declined and finished working IN THE RAIN! That level of dedication is hard to come by. After setting the traps, they called me the next morning to check to see how the night went or if I heard anymore noises. I really like that they didn't just lay out the traps then disappear. I had access to them 24/7 and they were willing to come back as often as needed. They called and texted me daily to check on me. The following day, I heard some traps snap, so Rheanan came out the same day to discover a squirrel in the trap and a second squirrel that was still on the loose. So she set out more traps and sure enough, the next day they had to come back again because the second squirrel was now trapped. The squirrels are gone, my home is secured, and the best part about it is that they guarantee their work! Didn't know I had a squirrel problem until they chewed a hole into my garage and one of the babies got stuck on a roach glue trap. Called other companies several times only to have the calls ignored until it was too late (it went past a cut-off point in which the poor baby squirrel would have been stranded and dying until the following Monday). Michael came out in 30 minutes! Removed three babies, left traps for the mother and sealed (hopefully all) the entry points.
