You will see scary costumes, mazes, and different stages with performers playing EDM music. The atmosphere is very laid back and inviting. People are happy and smiling all around. Because it is out in the open, it is not too bad in-terms of crowds. It does get packed towards the front and middle of the stages. So if you don't want to be elbow to elbow with other people, then you can go further back and have more space. There are water stations and porta potties all around. The porta potties are pretty decent for being porta potties. Towards the end of the night they are pretty gross though lol The food that is sold here is pretty good. They even have vegan options. Heck yes!!!! Pretty cool. If you love Halloween and EDM music, this is a must!

While festivals get the rep of a drug infused part there are plenty who go there for the pure love of music, friends and freedom to express themselves through dance and costumes without judgement. People might be judging on the outside but on the inside we are all love and support! The line up was stacked! I couldn't stop dancing when the dj's dropped the beats. With that said. The venue itself is huge. The decor was on point. Restrooms were clean and always had toilet paper stocked. The staff were Uber friendly and offered to take pix for us, they say they're here to help us enjoy and remember the moment! Completely in love with the staff. Very spacious for sure, which I enjoyed. Drinks are around $18 for a tequila Red Bull. Normal. The chicken strip basket had 2 chimken tendies and some fries and ranch for $17... not worth it. Definitely eat before you attend the show. Security was quick and the process from the complimentary shuttle service from the mall to the venue was nice as well. It made everything so much easier Also from the merchandise booths we got some pretty cool tech wear pants for $80 each (ugh) and an Above & Beyond hoodie for $80 as well (double ugh) Prepare to spend some money here. Nonetheless, the most recent 2019 Beyond was still quite magical and the stages were decked out for the theme. If you're looking for parking, several of the lots and shops will open up their space for you to pay. There is a $5 parking lot near the center but there is also free parking at The San Manuel Baseball stadium. It's gated and there are lots of staff members there. In all my experiences of parking there, I have always been able to leave fairly quickly and have never had my car broken into-- something that is apparently very common in San Bernardino. Overall, if there's a rave you want to attend then Beyond Wonderland is the best themed one! (48/100--2019)

Four stages of music across the venue, with plenty of seating areas too (picnic benches). Getting there is a bit of a pain. They have a shuttle that runs from downtown Long Beach and if you're early it's easy on but if you don't leave till after 4, expect a long lines by the shuttle. We walked all the way to the venue e first day and skipped the shuttle because of the line the second day we arrived early to get the shuttle. It's about a 40 min walk from downtown Long Beach to the queen mary. Wear comfortable shoes. This venue is not for high heels ladies!

It was a much more intimate festival atmosphere than bigger events like Beyond Wonderland or Countdown NYE, which was nice. There was plenty of space to move around and dance, as well as to sit and relax. The fact there were less people also meant less line waiting, which was great. It is a trance focused event, so all the DJs were playing a type of trance music. Will call and security were also very fast, as there were no lines earlier in the night. All in all, I would highly recommend attending Dreamstate SoCal and will probably attend every year until I die.

For example, At Alison Wonderland's midnight countdown, these girls behind us were way too messed up so they kept shoving us from behind like animals. We ignore but one walks up and looks at my wrist to trade kandi bracelets and picks out one she wants. First of all, when doing trades, you don't get to choose what you want. Second of all, pushing people into others and not saying anything is just trash. That's just a mild example but it's not that great, honestly. Oh yeah, bring a long sleeve to survive the new year cold. You'll absolutely need it.

First off, big shout out to High Times magazine for making this event possible. They started in LA, were then booted to Glendale, then ended up in San Bernadino. For me, that's one less hour of driving so I didn't mind a bit. The doors opened at noon both Saturday and Sunday. I didn't attend Saturday, however I hear the Game/Redman concert was pretty sick. Not as big as in Amsterdam for the staging area, but still a decent outdoor show that smelled of nothing but the finest tree. They were throwing tons of joints in the crowd from what I hear. Anyway we arrived at about 1pm Sunday. Bad bad bad mistake not eating first. They had a taco truck with about 5 options, the tornado potato truck (which I enjoyed all $8 of) and then a little ghetto stand with $6 hotdogs and funnel cakes. THAT'S IT PEOPLE. Well over 1500 potheads and you get 3 weak choices for food?!? And let me tell you the surrounding area didn't have much either. Worst Cali trip ever grub wise. So I still needed to get 100% legal to partake in the medication area. There isn't really a point in going to this event if you 1, are not already a patient, or 2, don't smoke marijuana. So first things first I waited in the long line at the green doctors, over paid some 80 year old dr to give me a rec, and was READY TO GO! It only took about an hour out of my day. My anticipation rises as we walk towards to heavily security filled gate. We walked in and they said have fun. Basically what you WANT to do is hit up every booth. Find out if they have an entry for best glass, best sativa, best concentrate. Etc. Most booths had their finest on hand for you to buy. There were also samples going out like crazy. My first 15 min thru the door I was already questioning, "can I handle this" (after being given the biggest dab in my life) I apologize to the non smokers reading this who don't understand all my lingo. Feel free to ask ?s. I tried a few different strains, a bunch of different concentrates. My head was in the clouds pretty quickly. You were still able to get an idea for the entries based on smell and texture so I didn't feel it affected my ability to vote. The best part was being able to walk around freely, smoking and have no concern in the world. There were plenty of police, and they did ask that you keep it in the medicated area. They had an indoor seating area with panels about cultivation, edibles, cancer, dabs and more. There was someone to answer every single question you've ever had about anything marijuana. I like to call myself a connoisseur, some call it a weed snob. All I know is if you're either, this is the place for you!

You get their version of the characters, not the Disney characters, but it is still fun and great to see, especially the rabbit. This year they added a special guest, the star from Carl's Jr.. This event is massive with about 6 stages ranging from all types of music. It is a good idea to check out a set from each stage and find something new to get into. Each stage is beautiful in its own way, and each has its theme, and the pyros cater to the music. This particular insomniac event has a lot of side quests, so be sure to enter thru random doors and go down some rabbit holes; you'll find secrets, including a bazaar and special character meets. I always opt for VIP; it has its own perks, priority entrance, its own bar and food areas, private VIP air-conditioned restrooms, couches, freebies, a beauty and salon area, and a private viewing area for each stage, which is a huge plus. The highlight for VIPs is the resting spots, which we know us 30+ ravers really need. This rave is wonderful, but not everything is perfect. This rave attracts influencers and many non-plural people, which can ruin the experience for people. They can push, be rude, and even steal, and of course the location is not the greatest, and if you're parked in the wrong area, you will have your car broken into. So stay safe and only park in designated spots. Other than that, have fun.

I will say navigating the festival was a bit tough, and I wish there was better signage. Although, there were maps and the app, there were times I struggled to locate a specific stage or ended up walking in the wrong direction. I liked the variety of food and drink vendors, although prices are pretty steep. $25 before tip for a cocktail is a little too high. The security at the main entrance seemed a little too relaxed, as they didn't care to check bags and just waved people through and I thought that was concerning. However, it was encouraging to see a good amount of staff around the event and that was reassuring. My friend and I opted to get VIP, and it was nice to access the VIP area and get access to slightly better restrooms. Although, the lines were long. VIP area also had some great views of the main stage but it was quite crowded. Also, it was nice to see some fireworks around midnight and take in all the lights & sights. Also, I wish there was more seating available. Lots of attendees ended up sitting and resting on the ground/grassy areas, which made it a bit challenging to navigate after different sets. The exit at the end of the night was overly crowded and difficult to get through. I was not a fan of having to walk in a huge crowd and then stand in line for 40 minutes for a shuttle to the parking area. Overall, I enjoyed my time at Beyond, but was not a fan of the venue. Possibly worth attending again mainly for the music, headliners, vibes, and various photo opps.

I hope one day to see them on the stage so I can say, "I got to see them when they were small fries." The Vault hosts a lot of events, including musical open mic nights. I still prefer Writers Block's open mic night (the first Wednesday of every month). I am shocked that the event is free, with how talented the poets are. I have bought several books from one of the local poets (shout out to Winry Hagerty!!) who sells her work at the poetry event. The last time I went there were stickers from an artist, some leather works, books by poets for sale. The atmosphere at The Vault during Open Mic Night is vibrant and supportive. The audience is engaged and respectful, providing an encouraging environment for the performers to shine. It's worth noting that this event is not only entertaining but also affordable. It's free. I had been in there for literally 3 minutes at that point. And if I wanted to do that shit, my car was right outside. I tried to explain to him that I had just returned back inside from a smoke, but all he did was threaten to kick me out for literally NO FUCKING REASON. I am transgender, and while this used to be one of my favorite spots, I will never be returning. I have been made to feel unsafe and unwelcome at this bar and I regret the fact I spent money on beer just to calm my fucking nerves after the incident. If youre worried about people using the bathroom and taking their time, get more fucking bathrooms, and dont treat out of town talent like shit. Gorgeous venue. It was my first time seeing a concert here…read more Security was pretty simple and quick. I like that we're able to bring in regular purses or bags. If we have Yaamava bottled water we can bring that in. Otherwise I saw other people pouring their bottles into cups that are readily available at the security check in. I was having trouble downloading my ticket. The staff got a chair for my Veteran friend so she could rest while I panicked to get my tickets. Staff came to offer me help but it was just me having issues typing my password. Officer Cortez was truly an Angel. He's the one who helped my friend with a seat and he really tried to calm me down. I wish I could have thanked him AFTER I quit sweating and got in the venue. My friend bought me a soda because I needed it! The bartender was super friendly and sweet. We were there early enough so service was quick. We were in the far right, 3rd row. KUDOS to having no stairs for the bottom seating. Most venues you have to walk down to floor seats. There were plenty of staff to help with seating. The chairs were pretty comfortable. The rows had enough leg room. I'm 5'6" and I was comfortable. Some places my knees are pressed against the seat. I like that we had cup holders for all the seats. The venue seemed small enough that every seat was a good view. I thought I would be too far stage right but it was a great view. I didn't even need to look at the big screen because it was a better view seeing them live.
