I've been here twice. Both times, the service felt a bit slow. The brunch I had was solid. For about $30pp we has waffles, eggs, grits and coffee between us for the first experience. I enjoyed it overall. Things came out fairly slow, but it was nice. The second time I ended up leaving without trying out lunch. I was at the bar for well over 10 minutes - no water/greeting etc. I like the decor, I hope they up the staff or find their groove. It has a lot of potential. This is in a plaza and worth stopping by if you're not on a tight schedule.

This has become a go to place for us. I would call it a great value place. Food is consistently good, sometimes great and reasonably priced. Help is pleasant, ambience is very comfortable. One VERY NICE feature that I hope they don't change--it's not loud (65 dB). Music is playing, the place doesn't echo and is rarely crowded and so we can have a very comfortable conversation.

We dined at Cypress for the first time a few weeks ago and enjoyed our meal. Prices were fair and the food was decent. We would certainly dine here again.

    Trident special

Our waiter is friendly explained the menu. I ordered the seared salmon perfectly cooked. My friend order the trident special MUST have their crab cake. The crab & corn soup was phenomenal. The rib eye was good. Highly recommended.

That's herbed rice that's not a creamy risotto.

This was the former Sullivan cove. I do have hopes for Cypress but there are a few misses. The service was good the ambiance was what was expected nice bar area too. The crab chowder was decent as was the fig salad. My husband got the mahi tacos they were good. The seasoned fries are Meh. We prefer regular fries even boardwalk style the seasoned fries are ok if that's what you like. I ordered the GRILLED PORTOBELLO MUSHROOM (GF & VGN) $24 Herbed risotto, charred tomatoes, asparagus, parsley walnut pesto. @cypress see photos that's not risotto it was an herbed rice. When I asked the waitstaff did they not have risotto ? She responded " that's risotto . Risotto is rice." No that's wrong. risotto is a creamy Arborio rice. This was so misleading and it was dry and off tasting. Please cypress fix the glitches. I really want this place to make it. We will go back and give it another try. The wine list is decent but the whole bottle wines are better choices that the by the glass doesn't offer.

    Caprese pizza

I ordered the Caprese pizza which said nothing of balsamic and i hate balsamic so I would have said NO! See my photo of the menu...? Also my pizza tasted like a warmed up lunchable. I try to give benefit of the doubt but I just can't here. We were in a rush to pick up kids so i just ate it. My wife ordered the scallops and the polenta and spinach were cold. Again it was a rush so we ate and moved on. We ordered alcoholic drinks and never offered water - no bueno also! Reason for stars is service was good.

If you walked in blind, you honestly wouldn't even guess they specialize in seafood -- that's how clean and fresh the environment felt. Major points for that alone. Now let's get into the food. I started with the cream of crab soup. The portion was solid and there were huge chunks of crab throughout, which I definitely appreciated. However, the base itself just wasn't to my liking. The crab was there, but the flavor profile didn't quite hit for me. For my entrée, I ordered the oyster platter with two sides -- regular fries and coleslaw -- and added a shrimp basket because when you're at a seafood spot, you might as well go all in. The meal definitely satisfied my hunger, but if I'm being honest, it tasted more boxed and frozen than freshly battered. That homemade, crispy, just-dropped-in-the-fryer feel wasn't quite there. On the bright side, the fries were good -- hot, crisp, and dependable. The coleslaw was exactly how I like it: balanced, not too sweet, not too heavy on the mayo. Where they truly shine is customer service. The staff was accommodating, friendly, and very helpful throughout the visit. Service can make or break a dining experience, and they definitely delivered on that front. Overall, while this visit didn't completely wow me food-wise, the cleanliness and service alone are enough for me to give them another shot. I'll be back to try something different and will happily update my review. Stay tuned.

There is a two part type of deal, right in the front with all the seafood you can order fresh seafood steamed to order. Around the corner they sell various hot foods and sides as well as a couple of desserts. I tried menu items from both sides as I was curious about their cold side items. The fresh seafood is priced very reasonably and everything is super fresh, you can tell. They have a self serve station with condiments and all sorts of things you can add. I would recommend making your "sauce" before you get all your food for the smoothest eating process. They also offer a couple of alcoholic beverages and coke products. There is indoor seating that is bench style. I really enjoyed the Maryland decorations around. Overall this is a great place to take any seafood lover and I definitely recommend trying out both food sections. My next visit I'm definitely trying out their crab cake, it looked amazing!

I typically eat crabs once or twice in the summer and mostly towards the end after chartering and catching them myself that I want to support my friend's craving for all you can eat crabs. I will say that a lot of the crabs they brought up were very light and we were picking through them quickly. The sizes range from mostly medium to a few large. They do not offer other sides along with the AYCE crabs so I also ordered their cheese steak egg rolls. They were huge! It's good textures with crispy outside wrapper and inside cheesy & meaty, however not a lot of flavor. We arrived after happy hour so wasn't able to take advantage of that pricing so the $8.75 crushes felt like a good deal. I possibly would go back for happy hour however I wouldn't go back for the ace crabs. I also would go back for the view and I think this is what draws a lot of people in. One kids' meal had a rare cheeseburger, then another was a grilled cheese with bread so stale that it was crumbly. Also, we didn't realize the kids' meals came with fries OR fruit, the menu was not quite clear. Regardless, I feel as though the server could have mentioned "the fruit will be extra" so I could have corrected my decision. There was absolutely no reason why I would EVER pay $15 for $3 worth of pineapple, especially for kids. The waitress was nice enough, I was just very annoyed about the fruit situation. She seemed to think it was intuitive and kinda shrugged when I told her about the confusion. With four kids, $15 for fruit is just insane. She brought cheesecake as an apology for the messed up kids' meals. But I would have rather not had the cheesecake and just gotten the fruit taken off the ticket. They didn't even eat it, as kids do. The restaurant was nice. It just looked a little run down. Like the floors were extremely dirty, they need a good cleaning. Despite being very busy, we were seated quickly-that was a pleasant surprise. In summary, be prepared to send food back to be cooked properly. And good Lord, make sure you don't accidentally order fruit, it's $5 for 10 small chunks of pineapple.

Pinball machines line the outside of the room with the interior having several rows of arcade cabinets. Machines were almost all in good condition with only a few having issues or being down. Pinball machines that caught my eye included Johnny Mnemonic, Fish Tales, High Speed, The Simpsons 1990, and Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. I was impressed with the Spy Hunter machine, as it was challenging. Other arcade machines that stood out included Arkanoid, Operation Wolf, several Mortal Kombat versions, and a Rush 2049 sit-down driving cabinet.
