BBQ was great, great customer service and a reasonable price. Been here several times and they haven't let me down yet.

The little lady and I stepped into this place after it was recommended to me. It was a beautiful day and seemed like a great time to try it out. The atmosphere is open and airy, with a nice spacious wrap around bar, which we sat at. We had a couple of cold beers and decided not to eat because the beef prices were a bit high. Smoked turkey sandwich was very good. Husband had sausage sandwich which he really enjoyed. This is a very nice place. Love all the beers on tap and the atmosphere. Delicious food and great atmosphere! The inside dining area is clean and welcoming, while the outside area is a great place to enjoy when the weather is nice! My husband and I want to try something new and he picked the right place!!! It was nice, server was nice and was very kind to show us the menu. My husband got the two meat dinner with brisket and sausage, potato salad and the pinto beans. The potato salad had a weird taste but I guess it is different from all of the other places we have gone to.. I had the moist brisket, potato salad along with FF. Over all the food was great! We will be coming back to enjoy the band that is outside! Best part I am not sure if he was the manager and/or owner but he greeted us at the door and welcomed us in! That was nice! I ordered the 2 meat plate and My pulled pork meat tasted sour and didn't even looked like pulled pork. I still can't get that bad tasting out of my mouth. We truly enjoy coming to this place. It has the best outdoor seating in Cypress. The management team & servers are always on point. We came in yesterday for a party of 18 and they were very, VERY busy, but were able to sit us. Our server was very good. The food was great & all sort of people (including one of the owners) stopped by to check to see if we were okay. Their brisket nachos are a must have, but their brisket mac 'n cheese is also very good. They have a lot of great craft beers on tap. I would definitely recommend this place as it is has a great feel and is a wonderful family environment. read more

Three of us ordered - brisket sandwich, pulled pork sandwich and kids cheese burger - everything but the kids meal was cold. It too a long time for them to prepare our order so not sure why. Waitress offered to redo the sandwiches only to return to new cold sandwiches 20 mins later. She was nice and removed them from my bill without requesting. Great place to take the kids while the parents can grab a beer and BBQ. Highly recommend.

First time here. The brisket was tender and had a nice smoke ring and good bark. The only complaint I have is the portion size. For $14.95 you get one slice of brisket 5-6 slices of sausage and two sides with a two ounce cup of bbq sauce. Hopefully they will work on that. For that price you should leave full. Service was nice but slow. Being a new restaurant that is understandable. I'd recommend going for the bbq connoisseurs. read more

We sat at the bar so that we didn't have to wait for a table. Our server (the bartender) was awesome. So attentive and willing to provide suggestions on food and drinks. She was very friendly and was ready to help all bar area guests at a moment's notice. The food was good, the brisket is by far my favorite. This place is not gluten allergy trained. Hostess didn't know what to do when I asked her if the kitchen was trained. Allergy menu was a random printed 8x10 computer paper. First of all, the food was very good...However, the service we experienced was sub-par at best. We were seated immediately but ended up waiting 15 minutes for our waitress to even show up to take our drink orders. She prioritized cleaning off a table before greeting us, I asked what beers were on tap, she didn't know and I ended up waiting another 10 minutes for the beer menu to show up. My beer arrived probably another 10 minutes after I placed the order, and it wasn't the correct beer. Luckily the guy who gave me the beer corrected it immediately (I believe his name was Chris) I did really appreciate that. I ordered the 2 meat plate with brisket, sausage, mac n cheese and mashed potatoes. My wife ordered the half chicken with mac n cheese, green beans and a side of bread. The food came out relatively quickly, the downside of it was I was missing my sausage and she was missing her bread. It took another 10 minutes for me to signal down the waitress for her to come over. While we told her about the discrepancies my wife also requested some extra napkins to which she gave to the adjacent table and came back a few minutes later and gave some to us as well. Overall, the food was great! The brisket had a great crust, sausage was flavorful and the mac n cheese was delicious. I would eat here again but would probably prefer to sit at the bar where there is someone in close proximity at all times. Tried it tonight for the first time. Beer list was decent and the atmosphere was airy and casual. Service was solid. We were seated quickly and waited on by a very friendly server. The food was meh. Quest was grainy and tasted weird. The salsa was no bueno. I ordered the turkey avocado club. For an $11 sandwich, it was good but nothing exciting. Hubby got the burger and said it was good. Son got the chopped BBQ sandwich and asked for lean meat. It was far from lean. Everyone at the table agreed that the fries tasted old, like they had been sitting under a heat lamp. I was looking forward to trying this place, but aside from the beer and cool atmosphere, the food was not worth the $75. I won't be back unless they step up food quality a bit. read more

We went to the Hideout on a Friday night for a fun atmosphere and good BBQ. We were told the kitchen was slammed, but with it being BBQ we didn't think it would be so bad, especially considering there aren't really that many tables in the restaurant. It took 45 mins just to get a SIDE of fries for our little girl. After waiting an hour, I finally told our server we wanted our food to go. Magically, it was ready immediately and pre-packaged. BBQ is supposed to be slow cooked and ready - there is no reason food should take that long unless they are (1) incompetent in the kitchen or (2) had to run to Rudy's to get it. We were also shorted bread, pickles, onions, and sauce in our bag after we had specifically requested them. Great addition to the area. Love the food, BBQ Brisket had great flavor , ribs were amazing, cream corn was very creamy and delicious. Loved the potato salad too. Chips and Queso best I ever had. We tried Cypress Trails this past weekend and was pleased. We went with the kids late Saturday afternoon and sat on the patio. Atmosphere was great, staff was friendly and loved the live music outside on the stage. We had the brisket, turkey sandwich, mac and cheese, chicken tenders and ribs. All were delicious. The brisket had great flavor and wasn't too fatty. One suggestion - the outside bar stools at the tables were hard to get in and out of, but all in all a great restaurant. We will return, a great place for the family - the kids had fun with the games outside while the adults relaxed and enjoyed dinner! read more

We tried this place as a last minute to-go order. I've been looking forward to a good BBQ joint given the current choices we have in cypress. Based on our first order, we're still looking. I ordered a chopped brisket sandwich and my wife ordered a sliced sandwich. What we received was large chunks bbq sandwiches. To be fair their menu doesn't list chopped/sliced but I've not seen a bbq joint that doesn't usually do both. The meat chunks were extremely fatty. I like the fatty point part of the brisket but this was over the top fat. Over 1/2 of the meat chunks were fat. Both of us commented that it tasted more like roast beef than bbq. No noticeable smoke ring or smokey flavor. No bbq sauce, onions or pickles were on either sandwich. None of these were in the bags either in another container. My daughter ordered the Tex-Mex burger and said it was good. Sides of fries were ok. We'll likely give them another try. Hopefully just some growing pains. If the next visit isn't better then we'll continue our search. read more

Finally came to try this place and unfortunately was a disappointment. The outside area is great if you have kids but the service was a joke. To start with the hostess asked inside or outside... I said outside and she took us straight to a booth inside by the restrooms... okay maybe she didn't hear me. Then asked do you need a high chair? I said Yes please! Got nothing. I than asked the waitress. She said sure. Then got nothing. I had to find them myself and get one. We ordered and food came out with no silverware, napkins or condiments. Waitress never came To check, Again having to find them ourselves. My buffalo chicken sandwich came without the blue cheese dressing so once the waitress came around I asked for that. A little later the hostess came by with blue cheese crumbles. Who in the world eats a buffalo chicken sandwich with blue cheese crumbles. Never to see the waitress again until the check.
