4.5 stars, but wanted to round up instead of down because they are just starting out and they deserve more traffic for their impeccable food! Their menu is tapas style - can be a bit expensive, but I would say worth it and there are definitely things on the menu that are very reasonable priced. Their chef's special hummus - though it was yummy and came with the most fluffy and incredibly yummy house made pita was $15! But funny thing is their lamb rib chops were also $15... and they were not only lip smackingly delicious, but they also came with such good tabouleh and fries on the side. And these fries were not regular old fries..they were special - crisp and well-seasoned. My friend got the mouhendra (sp?) which was also really yummy. Cypriana is one of my favorite restaurants in MD. True, authentic Greek food. There is much love put into their food. The servers are all polite and well trained. We happened upon this restaurant because of vegan restaurant Week 2019. The menu they provided was the only one that had items on it that I couldn't make at home. They also still had their regular menu which made my meat eating husband very happy. The vegan menu had 15-20 small plates that were all you could eat for $35. My husband opted to partake in this once he saw many things he would like to try. Everything we ate was absolutely mouth-watering delicious. The food was fresh and the seasonings were a delight. The owner made his way around the restaurant and by the time we left we felt like family. We will totally be back and feel very fortunate to have stumbled upon this gem. read more

I've heard so many good things about this place, and finally decided to give it a try. Let me tell you it was worth every penny. We started out with a small hummus and a roasted feta, both recommended by or server. The hummus was excellent and the outa was fresh from their wood oven in the kitchen. The roasted feta was exactly as our server described it: "addictive." We loved it so much we ordered another one! For our main entrees, I got the lamb rib chops while my wife got the Bronzini. Both were excellent to say the least. The lamb chops were cooked perfectly and were succulent, while the Bronzini was also cooked perfectly, maintaining perfect flavor. We paired our meals with a few Greek wines which were also excellent, and their wine offerings were vast and unique. I also recommend trying a specialty cocktail. I got the bacon old fashioned while my wife got the tears of chios. Both were very good and not to strong or weak. We finished our meal with their pistachio sea salt baklava, and let me tell you, I can no longer have baklava from anywhere else because it simply won't hold up to what we had here. The service was excellent and our server (Ben) was attentive and very helpful. His recommendations were great and we were glad to have him guide us through the menu. The owners, Chef Maria and her husband Vassos were personable and came by our table to personally greet us and thank us for visiting for the first time. I cannot recommend this place enough. Last year my man took me here for my birthday and it was a memorable occasion indeed, made beautiful by the exceptional service and extraordinary meal we had. We started out at the bar and the bartender was extremely friendly and informative about the menu. We were led to our table after a relaxing drink. The server was extremely helpful, offering suggestions. We had the lamb and we had cheese. I had meant to post this review sooner, and cannot remember now everything we had to eat. I have never actually written a restaurant review, but after returning for dinner last night at Cypriana, I just had to. I've eaten there several times and it's always fantastic. The food is delicious: perfectly grilled and seasoned fish, tender and delicious meat options, lots of amazing vegetarian dishes, and I always look forward to the freshly made, warm and puffy pita bread. On top of the incredible food, the owners make you feel like family. It's one of those few restaurants that is simultaneously a gourmet experience and a neighborhood, family hangout. This place. You walk in, it looks fine. Then, the bartenders, the waitstaff are so friendly. The food is AMAZING. Will DEFINITELY be back here again. Went here last night, our waitress was great but we left feeling cheated by the small but expensive portions. The appetizers were tasty - especially the falafels. The serving of saganaki struck me as a bit on the slight side, but that was just a taste of what came next. We paid $19 for the beef kebab and got about half the meat you pay $10 for from a street vendor. I've been to plenty of Greek/Mediterranean restaurants in Baltimore and they are always more generous with servings then this. The micro-kebab really killed the vibe for the rest of the night. I will not be coming back and will advise my department at Hopkins to go elsewhere for receptions/functions. read more

After we ate at Cypriana for the first time around a year ago we've been back almost every other month. The Cypriot food, (Greek with Turkish influence,) is absolutely delicious. Their octopus is extremely tender. Their baclava is like none I've ever tasted. It's not at all cloying and very buttery. Their sesame crusted feta is warm with a slightly sweet sauce. We often order 2 servings of them as our appetizers. They have a beautiful courtyard, weather permitting. And we've always had great service. The owner often stops by our table and sometimes the chef comes out. I can't recommend Cypriana enough. Oh, and they have free off-street parking. read more
