This dealership constantly frustrates me in my online car search. Whether I see their cars on third party sites, or their own website (so they can't blame the third party sites) They list all their vehicles with an arbitrary and clearly incorrect "500 miles". I do not understand why they do that... But what's worse is, they then do not include a picture of the odometer to show you the true mileage. I have to contact you just to find out the mileage of the vehicle? Isn't that annoying for them?! If they play these games with just the listed mileage, I do not trust them on any other aspect of the vehicles they sell or the deals. I'd love to know their reasoning... read more

I bought a Hummer from this place. Was told it needs "nothing". Back wiper doesn't work Heated seats don't work Brake line faliled while driving on RT 1, had to coast into a fast food place and hit a wall to stop. (Replaced all 4 brake lines (very shady they way he did it). Then it happened a second time because they didn't flare the break line (cost me $525 to get this fixed). Use your wonderful warranty Dana said. It doesn't cover break lines, as he already knew. BUT 2 times in 2 weeks my breaks went out completely. Had to pay for tow both times. Thanks D&D My transmission line blew. Transmission got stuck in neutral. Had to pay for a tow. My oil temperature gage doesn't work. Had to put in an aftermarket one. I've had this truck less then 3 months and it has been in the shop 4 times. This place is a rip off. Kind of sucks for a truck that needed nothin STAY AWAY! read more

Bought a van from him lied about it being a great vehicle... couple months later van needed a transmission which we were able to get under his warranty that worked out, but was without it for two weeks. Ac didn't work had to have compressor replaced and unit recharged payed for by me . Also needed rear spring bushings which he said were fine, payed for by me again, asked him for a spare key which he said he would take care of would call he had an every excuse in the book, now the van need an engine which isn't covered!!! all his stuff is junk do yourself a favor stay away!!!! read more

Bought a Subaru from here, was told it got a "new" battery. Car didn't start the second time I tried. Found an old Ford battery in it, and the power wire to the starter was broken. Since I was under the hood, I checked the oil and found that it was overfilled and old. I changed the oil and noticed that they poured Lucas oil in it, which explained why it was overfilled - they just added that to the old oil. I hope that I won't find that they were hiding worn bearings. read more

They buy high mileage vehicles, say they rebuild from bumper to bumper so it is like a new car/truck. These guys wasted my time and unfortunately lived up to every negative stereotype associated with used car salesmen. The truck I test drove was a piece of junk all polished up to look pretty. They gave me a line about how the truck had one owner and was well cared for etc. And neglected to tell me that the whole front end was smashed up in an accident a few years prior...found the repair invoiced in the glove compartment. My son and I bought a used truck which had multiple problems from the start. No gas when he picked truck up, broken wipers, power steering went hours after driving off lot! We attempted to have the other multiple mechanical problems fixed by their garage, however the mechanic refused to give us a detail of work done and truck still had issues ie-transmission, front drive shaft, broken manifold bolts. Tells you everything checked out thoroughly. When my vehicle didn't start I called him left a message he didn't call back. Then I called him again I told him what was wrong he said he would get back to me never did. Then I told photo of the bill and Dana said, your mechanic way overpriced. I text Dana a chance to make it right. But instead he is yelling and wanting to know if the work is done. I said yes and Dana said Do you expect me to paid for it I said yes. He is yelling... Who wants to deal with this? 11-1-2015 Please read Dana comments on the other reviews Dana always blames the customer for the problem. I called him Oct 23 and left a message. He never called me back so about an hour later I called him again. He never offered to fix it. Dana didn't even have the time for me. He said am busy and hung up. I can show the proof on my phone. BEWARE BEWARE he will say whatever it takes to make the deal and once he has the money then he won't do anything 11-18-15 It seems Dana doesn't care about his customers. I already reported him to the BB Bureau and doesn't bother him to have a unsatified customer on it. Ok guys, my final post. I won my court case against Dana after 5 court appearances. 2 appeals, 2 defaults and a remittature request. Dana not only sold me a piece of junk, but a dangerous piece of junk at that. He takes no responsibility for anything and even bad mouths his customers and questions their reasons for bad credit. My son was in a tragic accident Dana, a tragic life altering accident, just saying. Oh by the way it was his false advertising that got him in trouble. Rust free, ice cold air, bah hahahaha. My vehicle had a rotted frame. Warranty, another joke. He finances a 2000 warranty right into your loan but guess what, it doesn't cover rust. More money in his pocket. And guess what else, Dana has to pay the loan if you don't but he doesn't want you to know that. I won the full amount of my case. Dana will respond to this review with more lies so take them with a grain of salt. I was referred to D&D by a friend. Knowing I have bad credit I was not hopeful that I would walk away with a deal. I walked in, Met Dana, and 2 days later, drove home in a truck better than I thought I would ever own. I left there knowing that I bought a 9 year old truck, so of course there is a chance that it will have some issues down the road. The first thing was the battery. Forgetting that the battery is not under the warranty I called Dana. He reminded me that the warranty does not cover the battery and told me, "bring me in the receipt of the battery and I will pay it" And he did!! After about 2 months of having the truck, I was in a accident due to the icy/ snowy weather. I was sure that the insurance company was going to call the truck a total loss but they did not. I owe $12,000 on my loan and the insurance company said that my truck is worth $17,000. I think I got a good deal. The insurance company can fix it for under $17,000 and didn't want to pay me what the truck is worth. It has been a total nightmare. I still do not have my truck back because they are still working on it. After the accident I called Dana, because I thought that I would need a new truck. Of course he has a new truck for me but he guided me and gave me good direction on how to deal with the insurance company. After I told him that they are going to fix the truck, he still continued to call me from his personal cell phone, after hours, from his home, to check on me and to see how I was making out. He was not trying to sell me a new truck, he genuinely cared about how I was making out. My experience with D&D Auto is this. They made the whole buying process extremely quick and easy. I have a 5 year warranty on the engine, transmission, 4 wheel drive, and electrical. I put down a small down payment and have a very small monthly payment with bad credit. If you are going to buy a used truck than you know that you may run into problem down the road, but D&D will make sure that you are taken care of every step of the way. I will highly recommend them to anyone I know looking to buy a truck. read more

If this would allow me to give negative stars I would. I purchased my SUV from D&D Auto Sales in Rowley back in February 2014. Today it's June 2nd and still, this vehicle is a piece of garbage. The day I purchased the vehicle, the check engine light was on and a reject sticker was put on due to it failing inspection. A week later the SUV was dropped off to have repaired in which they had it for a few days, unfortunately the light stayed on and they were unable to re-inspect it. I had brought it to another garage to have a trailer hitch installed, and while up on the lift, the mechanic walked me out into the shop to show me oil all on the underside of the vehicle, bald tires with metal coming out of them, and a loose wheel bearing. These issues were brought to Dana's (owner) attention. His response, these mechanics have no clue what they are talking about. After a few persuasive conversations with him, he decided to put 4 new tires on the car. He continues to say he helped me out with this; the SUV would never have passed inspection with these tires for safety, so not a favor from D&D. The oil leak was never addressed, the check engine light is still on, although he continuously tells me they fixed the problem, front end not fixed, and after "MULTIPLE" times at several of his mechanics shops for well over 3 weeks combined, miraculously it passed inspection, even though the check engine light turned back on after I picked it up from his garage. He again never addressed the front end or the oil leak, which ended up burning out the alternator after oil puddled up inside it. Once again had to argue with him about repairing the alternator, even though this was caused by an on-going oil leak since purchasing the vehicle back in February. Thanks Dana, big help! The day I picked the vehicle up from my own garage after having the alternator repaired, Dana tells me to schedule a time to drop the SUV off to him and have the warranty pick up the tab on the oil leak and front end work. Since day 1 with the vehicle, he has been trying to have me let the warranty company pick up the bill on everything. Why!? These with the SUV have existed since day 1. Then on Thursday May 29th, Dana tells me they no longer handle repairs. I have text messages dating back to the beginning of March from Dana backing up EVERYTHING including telling me these warranties are crap and don't cover anything. So when he tells you that included is a 2 year 24,000 mile warranty, don't believe him! First off the warranty you actually pay for, it's not free. He adds it to the price of the vehicle, but it doesn't cover crap and NO garage wants to work with the warranty company. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place!! I'm in the process of working with the Better Business Bureau, Attorney Generals Office, Massachusetts Lemon Law, and my own attorney. I would also give a zero star review if it was possible. My wife and I purchased a 2015 GMC pick up from them in August , since then we have put 20k kms on it. This has been the WORST experience in a vehicle purchase we have ever had. During the financing we were forced by the dealership to purchase their in house warranty coverage (even though the factory coverage would outlast the term of their coverage ......... ??????) Since then the vehicle has spent more time in the local GMC dealer than on the road and to our surprise the vehicle has a total warranty block !!! No reason given as the dealer cant access why. So since August we have paid out an additional $5000 dollars in repairs on a vehicle that was supposedly put through an AMVIC inspection at their shop (most of the repairs were on components that would have been checked off during this inspection, ball joints, lights, other front end components, etc). Now the paint is literally falling off the back doors of the truck every time we wash it, and guess what .......... no coverage on either the factory or extended warranty we just had to have (a $3000 dollar expense that was added to our financing. Since this nightmare has started we have tried on several occasions to resolve these issues with the dealership only to be given the run around, calls not being returned, etc. First we were told that the vehicles on their lot were purchased at auction and they don't know the history but then later in additional emails they try to change their story and say they know the history and seemed surprised by the factory warranty being blocked , and the extended warranty that we just had to have not covering anything at all. They cant even keep their lies straight. STAY AWAY THIS HAS BEEN THE WORST DECISION WE EVER MADE !!!! read more

I bought a car from D & D Auto Sales in Rowley, Ma back in September of 2012. Unfortunately, my car was totalled last week. This is when I realized that this dealership charged me double for my truck (2001 Ford Explorer Sport). It was advertised on Craigslist for $3999. The purchase and sale agreement was vague and stated that I paid $7999 which btw way was only worth $4000 on Kelly Blue Book (if that) and thats it, no trade in amount (which I traded my current car) and no finance % rate. My insurance company is paying me just that for the total loss. Well they at the dealership stated to me that they NEVER had a truck like that for $4000. That this truck is worth $7999. By the way, I still have the add from Craigslist, thank god, and believe me its definitely not worth what they told me. Its got rust everywhere. They really did see me coming, being desperate because my car suddenly died, and I was in need of a car asap. I am filing a complaint with the Attorney Generals Office to try to get back my $4000 which in turn will notify the Better Business Bureau. Now I still owe the credit company that they set me up with about $4000. The Insurance company is only giving them the $4000 the car is worth. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. I went with my nephew one evening to check out a few used cars with him since I am an ASA Certified Mechanic with 28 years experience working for myself. As I always do when helping someone purchase a car, I read the Yelp reviews on a dealer and do my own inspection. In D&D's case, I was very leary about purchasing a vehicle from a dealer with some very poor ratings; most of which were mechanical issues with the same response from the dealer. In any event, his first time actually purchasing a vehicle, not a hand me down from a family member. He was looking at a truck that he showed me on line. One adult non smoking owner, very clean in excellent condition like new. After looking underneath and finding the body rot had been repaired, lots of rust on the undercarriage, leaks, etc... I checked up on the carfax report. Not a one owner as clearly stated. Truck did have just under 100K, yes you get leaks and some rust to the undercarriage so we went and took it for a ride. A total waste of time and effort trying to purchase a vehicle from them due to his shady salesman Ed telling us a story on the vehicle as if he knew everything about it; in fact it was an auction vehicle. Storyteller ABSOLUTELY. So we looked at a few other vehicles that were supposedly one owner; not true at all. This other particular vehicle had two previous owners and a prior accident. Please folks do your homework and buyer beware. Always ask for the Carfax. If this place is reputable, then they would have no issue giving you a complete Carfax report at their own expense.
