Tri-City Sales - My new double ovens from Tri-City Sales.

Today I went to Tri-City Sales in Ipswich, MA. To shop for new double ovens. It was a remarkably…read morepainless process! The woman we did business with is the sister of the owner (her name is Janet... ask for her!!) and she was very professional and competent. My parents had done business with her before and I was pleased to meet her. One of the big things that pleased me was that the disposable fee for my old oven is going to be less than $100 and the install is less than $300. I had gone to Doyon's in Gloucester earlier in the day and the quoted me $800 for the same service!! I will have my new ovens in less than two weeks. It will be great to have it done since I replaced my cooktop last year (took the gas out and put an induction top in).

The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and professional. Chuck H was particularly helpful, patiently answering all my questions and guiding me through the different options without any pressure. Their expertise made a potentially stressful decision easy and straightforward. Not only did I find the perfect appliances, but their prices were great and very competitive with the big box stores. The entire process from browsing to checkout was smooth and efficient. It was easy to arrange delivery around my schedule. I highly recommend Tri-City Sales to anyone in need of home appliances! I will definitely be a returning customer."

I will NEVER EVER purchase an appliance from TRI-CITY Sales again! They are of NO USE if you have a…read moreproblem with your appliance after the initial factory warranty period of one year ends. Within the warranty period they will only replace the item. They also DO NOT service air conditioners AT ALL! Something they do not tell you when you're shopping there. I thought buying from them gave me better back up than a big box store for dealing with future problems and service so thus, their higher prices. I purchased 2 high end Gallery ACs from them as well as a manufacturer's (Frigidaire) extended warranty, only to find out during the second year that TRI CITY will have NOTHING to do with you for service. You have to call the manufacturer directly and jump through so many hoops for weeks to try to use your warranty. Frigidaire /Electrolux who you purchase the warranty from is not the company that honors the warranty... It's another totally separate company with more hoops and online forms that don't work. Getting to a "live" agent is next to impossible and each one I spoke with told me to do something different none of which worked. The process they put you through will drive you absolutely crazy! When I finally contacted my Tri-City salesman to get help dealing with Frigidaire, he told me that most of the appliances built today, that THEY SELL, are junk and not meant to last! GET THAT! This salesman said he has NO influence over the dealer reps they buy from and that there is nothing he or they can do because they have nothing to do with the warranty company that Frigidaire contracts with and no influence or involvement with product issues. As a repeat customer, he acted like I was annoying him but I begged him to contact his dealer rep to try to facilitate my warranty claim. He reluctantly said he would "try" and then let me know. Never heard back. He has barely responded to any of my emails or voicemails throughout this entire process, so there you have it... TRI-CITY Sales Sucks! They also charge for delivery and will not submit any rebate forms for you. From now on I'm going for the lowest prices I can find at Lowe's, Costco, BJ's and Home Depot and won't buy extended warranties EVER AGAIN! They are a sham and consumer rip off as well as a huge waste of time and money! Since today's appliances are not built to last, just call your own independent serviceman, get an estimate and junk it if you have to. Believe me, it's not worth the hassle... BUYER BEWARE!

He was very thorough when looking at houses with us and pointed out things to look out for that we would have otherwise missed. He worked diligently on our behalf from the time we hired him as our agent through closing. In that time we saw quite a few houses and made several offers, but not once did we ever feel pressured by Rich - he very much works for his clients and is not at all pushy, which we sincerely appreciated! I would recommend Rich to anyone looking to buy a home in Greater Boston!

We got an offer accepted in April and closed in June. Rob was a very responsive and punctual agent. Scheduling open houses and private showings with Rob was very smooth, sometimes we went to a few properties in one day. Rob's feedback to properties were very honest and as first time home buyer's we would have missed those aspect if he had not mentioned it. There was a property with a major tilt and Rob pointed it out...it was making us dizzy. It was great having Rob to help answer our questions about the roof, the heater, water boiler, septic tank age and so much more. He would also provide comps of similar properties that sold recently in the area. Overall, we had a great experience with Robbie and would highly recommend him.

We had tried working with several buyers' agents who, after a pleasant initial consultation, signed us up for their automatic MLS emails and called it a day, or sellers agents who maybe were just doing their job when they said "we have, like, 25 interested buyers so bid high" or "maybe if you waived the home inspection clause you'd be more competitive!" No thanks. Our mortgage folks suggested that we get in touch with John Yemma of The Yemma Group. I'm writing this from the couch in our new house we bought thanks to John and his colleague Nate, so that should tell you how the rest of this review will go. From the outset, John and Nate were professional, thorough, and, best of all, honest. At no point did they force our hand - they'd spend the day running from East Boston to Neponset and back with us and never once tried to jam through a sale. They both value relationships - which paid huge dividends when it came time to put in an offer. Case in point, I firmly believe the house we ended up buying would not actually be ours today had John and Nate not formed a strong working relationship with the sellers agent...who turned out to have been the same agent on a house we lost out on only a few months prior. And even when we were on the losing end of a a competitive bid situation, The Yemma Group folks always got to the bottom of what would've made a deal go through, so we understood how to play our cards the next time around. We would especially point out John and Nate's collective real estate prowess. At each open house or follow up appointment, John and Nate would take the time to go through each home in detail - pointing out flaws and areas of concern with an inspector's eye. So, in sum, if you are struggling to find the right home for you and your family - reach in The Yemma Group's direction. They'll cut through the noise and find you somewhere epic.

I found Nate at The Yemma Group just through online research. I was pleasantly surprised by Nate's responsiveness via email as I had emailed a few real estate firms with no individual response. After my first visit to the office I knew I wanted to work with Nate! Nate walked me through every detailed step of the buying process before we even went to our fist open house. We ended up finding a condo quicker than expected and we had to get all our ducks in a row in less than 24 hours to get the offer in on time. Nate got the offer in with time to spare! With Nate's excellent communication and real estate skills I would never use another agent in Boston! Nate and the Yemma Group also connected me with a great real estate attorney and mortgage company, making the the entire buying process a piece of cake! I could not be happier with my new condo and the great service Nate and the Yemma Group provided me with. They will be my first and only call the next time I purchase a property!
