Here's the shotgun review: - Located right on Main Street, so parking can be iffy - Outdoor seating options, either in the sun or in the shade - Family owned & operated, very kind staff - Tasty food that hit the spot after a long day of riding motorcycles - Drinks served in hilarious vessels* - Delicious house made hot sauce** *Mine came in a gas container & my partner's came in a big clear barrel type thing. We laughed out loud! It was a fun little gimmick. Also the horchata was delicious. **We were given two sauces with our food, a mild verde & a hot sauce. We were warned that it was spicy. We found the hot sauce to be well-balanced & really decadent. The next day, we were planning on cooking at home but needed a spicy element for a sauce WE were making. So I had an idea. I rode down to Cowboy's & asked them if I could buy some of their hot sauce. They wanted to triple check with me that I meant the spicy one (yes, the spicy one!) & then presented me with an 8 oz container of their delicious sauce for just $5! I was really pleased with the whole interaction & of course with the sauce. Our sauce at home turned out so, so good with the Cowboy's addition, too. I highly recommend stopping here for hot sauce instead of the grocery store!

The ingredients were fresh and flavorful though I would have preferred black beans to refried beans. The vibe was cool, staff friendly and price good for the value.

I've been there before and the crazy, giant fiberglass crab on display in the entrance is always a hoot. So is the fiberglass shark head on the wall in the dining area. I like a place with a sense of fun and humor. I also like this place for its seafood boils. The good news is that this restaurant--which was very good to begin with-- has gotten even better. Last time I showed up, the server brought the seafood boil still in its boiling bag and cut it open in front of me. It was up to me to reach into the hot bag and pull out its contents. There was steam everywhere. A hot mess, indeed! This time, the kitchen took care of the boiling bag for me. Instead, they beautifully arranged the boiled seafood on a large platter. Wow. It looked amazing and tasted even better! This time, I'd asked for a Number 4 with mix of seasonings, including garlic and butter. There were: one big lobster tail, plenty of shrimp, clams, crawfish, potatoes, corn on the cob, hard boiled eggs and extra veggies. It was described as enough to feed three people. Coincidentally, we were a party of three. We also ordered a Cajun Fried Rice for good measure. We really didn't need it. We were so full. The fruit drinks were great, too. Union Seafood is a franchise with locations in Troy and Schenectady. They're owned by Larry Weng who also opened Ji Bei Chuan Rice Noodles & Ramen on Western Avenue in Guilderland, according to local news reports. In celebration of May being AAPI (Asian American Pacific Islander) Month, it's probably fair to say that Asian-American owned restaurants such as Union Seafood have added much variety to the overall dining experience in Capital Region. Vive la différence.

It's a lot and the seafood is fresh. I would say 3 people could share. We had it mild and mixed sauce. Maybe order hot next time since i did not taste the spiciness. We both enjoyed it. Price is not that bad. The place is huge but kinda datk inside. Service is great though. For dessert we got the coconut cake. It is kinda frozen. But it taste good. Surely coming back!

I decided last minute that I was going to take home a bunch of shucked oysters with my tuna. Score! They shucked them right there (you also have the option to take them home and do it yourself). The oysters were delicious-even though they forgot one. I was sad. Honest mistake, I guess. The ahi tuna was great-I made it in 2 different ways-tartare with spicy mayo and seared. Delicious. Really fresh seafood and I like the new (ish) location. Very spacious with a counter for coffee and takeout. I spied beer taps and there might be plans for getting those up and running at some point. Plus, there's a kitchen in the back...so stay tuned.

Moby Rick's kitchen is not ready yet so they don't have the ability to prepare any of the fish at this location. They are hoping to have the kitchen completed by Summer. For cooked fish you'll currently have to go to their Clifton Park location (which currently is only providing takeout during the COVID-19 restrictions). Since we were in Saratoga we decided to check out their new location and bring something home to cook for dinner. There was a lot of fresh fish to choose from and we narrowed it down to either halibut or sea bass. I decided on the sea bass because we've never cooked it at home before. It was about $35/lb., which is a fair price. My wife prepared it with some white wine, butter and shallots and it was absolutely delicious. The fish was so fresh and tasty.

It took a while to get drinks and place our order, and we found ourselves waiting more than expected between courses. That said, the food itself had some highlights. The crab was absolutely amazing--fresh, flavorful, and definitely the standout of the meal. We also really enjoyed the shrimp cocktail, which was well-prepared and hit the mark. Unfortunately, the mussels didn't live up to the same standard; they lacked flavor and just weren't our favorite. Overall, it's an okay spot with some strong dishes, but the slow service and inconsistency in the food would make me hesitate before returning.

I would definitely go again, if I'm ever in the Abany area again.
