If I could give this place no stars I would got my pedicure done waiting to get my nails done as soon as I sat in the chair Mimi comes and says she's not gonna do my nails and to come back she had something else to do and she just walks off left me sitting puzzled. Then the one that did my pedicure came and started make excuses saying she had important things to do and thats why she couldn't do my sns. I will never ever come back to this place. Mimi is so unprofessional Ive never seen anything like this in my life. I have been coming to this place for years today i decided to come get my nails done after suffering from a very bad car accident and I sat and waited all of this time for Mimi to just walk away rudely and not do my nails after telling me to have a sit in her chair. I'm new to PTC and trying various salons . This was my experience.. walked in, greeted and seated..hanging shield..chair wiped down, liner in pedicure tub. Nail techs masked. Watched that tools were from sanitizer..manicure was, didn't see pedicure tech get new tools but he came from back room. So far so good. Then nail tech starts manicure and says "this will only last 2 days". ?? She proceeded to do good job with shaping and cuticle care, I ask for nail polish application and she says again..only 2 days. I say "why? Is polish watered down, you applying inferior products? WHY WOULD I COME BACK if this is only a 2 day manicure?!? No answer. She was probably trying to up sell a gell product..but really? Not a very clean salon and I didn't like my nails. I came in one day based on a recommendation to get a pedicure and full dip set. The pedicure was fine but nothing special. The shape of my nails wasn't good and she used a tiny dirty plastic cup to dip my nails into. I get the point of not dipping my nails into the actual container of powder, but if you're just using a dirty container (she wiped out residue from previous use before using it) then what's the point? After telling someone else about my experience they told me that Stephanie is really good, but after the experience I had, I would not come back. read more

This was the worst manicure and pedicure I've ever had. It looks like I did it myself. The lady who did it was very distracted and kept stopping to do chores around the shop. Will keep driving to Fayetteville to get quality work done. read more

This is no longer Trina's nails it's now D &V Nails. The young lady spent plenty on time on me but I think it was due to inexperience. The shop appeared clean and the staff friendly. I ask for the upgrades natural lemongrass spa with moroccan oil as advertised on the poster on the wall. It seems they do not carry that; they only have the chemical based colorful fake fragrance ones on the shelfs by the sink. So they went with Lavender, it was a gel like substance with a bright purple color, kinda smelled like bathroom cleaner. Other than that the pedicure was Ok. Manicure was fine other than she cut me but put alcohol on it and cotton till it stopped bleeding. I ended up paying $40 and left without polish on my nails. I will not be a regular. Awful experience!!! Woman who was clearly owner/manager spoke English rushed in to start my nails while my toes were being done by a nice man. Then she cut my cuticles way too short making a huge cut!! It didn't hurt at first but the blood kept flowing!! Crazy!! She kept pouring odd antiseptic powder on it and it stung like crazy!! After awhile with blood still pouring I asked if she had a bandaid. I said let's just put a bandaid on it! I washed off the odd powder the cut stinging badly, put on a bandaid and said listen I'm not going to paint my nails it doesn't make sense to paint 9/10 nails . BTW this whole time not saying sorry just blaming me that I have dry chapped cuticles and that she was trying to clean them up, no sorry in the least bit!!! I said I'm not going to get my nails done and my toes were 1/2 painted... so she rapid finished them with no top polish!!! What a joke this place is I got out of there as fast as I could but injured, still stinging now hours later this is what it looks like!! Insane!! Awful place awful attitude. read more

Seemed like a reasonable place at first. However a few days later after my daughter got her eyebrows waxed I saw they changed the $8 charge on my credit card to $21. I imagine they are sneaking these extra charges in on most of their customers. Since it is a nice area I would guess it is not noticed or complained about. I hope they are happy when Visa issues them the chargeback and the $25 penalty that comes with that. I would be very careful using this place after reading some of these other reviews. I have to give this nail shop three stars, and I am being gracious by giving them that high of a rating. The shop is located next to Kroger in a great shopping center in Peachtree Center. I guess the convenient location maybe explained my wait on a Sunday afternoon. I came into the shop for a manicure around 2/3 pm ish and was told that I would have to wait for an hour. No problem I decided to run to Kroger next door and pick up a few things. I came back about 20 minutes later of course knowing that the time elapsed had not yet been 60 minutes. Cool, no worries, I can wait. The problem is my wait was wayy longer than an hour. My nail tech was friendly, but she didn't do a good job. My paint job looks like a child did it. She could have at least cleaned it up, but she didn't, and I honestly just get tired of having to tell my nail tech how to do my nails right. Now I kind of wish I would have asked her to clean up the polish job. The only good thing is that my polish has lasted about four days with hardly any chipping. Not sure if I would go back again, but if I did, I might try someone different. My apologies for not giving a name, but this nail tech sits towards the back of the shop. I have been coming here for almost a year, it is the first nail salon I have found where my SNS doesn't crack or chip within a week. The ladies who work here are so kind, amazing at what they do, and take time to get to know you. Yesterday I had to bring my 3 year old son with me, who is a very well behaved child but he's a 3 year old boy, no one batted an eye, everyone interacted with him while I got my nails done. Eh. So so. Good location. Water was lukewarm. Had to ask twice for hotter water. Sat with my feet in water for half an hour before they finally started on me. Pedicure was more painful than usual. Lots of poking and clipping that hurt. Might have just been the tech. read more

Had a gel manicure here yesterday. Polish was chipping, peeling and cracking not even 5 hours later. My previous gel mani from a different salon lasted 3 weeks! My previous visit to D & V they cut my cuticle bed and I bled, so I will not be going back. Very disappointed! read more

The people in there are so rude and the women who waxed my eyebrows gave me scars because the wax was too hot!!! I told her to go gentle and she DID NOT listen!! I am so disappointed. I was truly hoping some of the bad reviews were wrong as they were older. Sadly, they were not wrong. I specifically asked how much for the mani/pedi as soon as I sat down in the pedi chair. She said, "$10 mani, $12 pedi." I even verified, "$10 for the manicure and $12 for the pedicure?" She said, "Yes!" and smiled. I was a bit taken aback by the COLD water in my pedi tub, and they proceeded to take a small bowl and scoop out some water. Don't those things have drains? Yes, they do. Anyway, they then added some hot water, and it became luke warm. Fine. The mani/pedi turned out nice, but when it came time to pay, she says, "$30!" I said, "You told me $22 when I got here." She looked thoroughly confused, looks around at the owner(s)(?) and one of them says, "No, pedicure $20!! Always $20. Has been for two years!! Anywhere you go it's $20. You misheard." I said, "I did not mishear, she said $12. No problem, I will pay the $30, but make sure she knows her numbers." She started yelling at me, "Always $20, you heard wrong!!" WOW!!!! Lack of customer service much? Sheesh!!! Needless to say, never going there again. Too bad too, they are right across from where I'm staying for the next 7 months. I've converted from Hammond. Trina's staff takes care of their customers and has more than just manicures, pedicures, and waxing to offer. I've seen people get massages and their hair washed as well. Speaking of massages, each manicure comes with a 5 minute shoulder massage on the house, and you can ask for an additional 5 for a small price. They always have HGTV on the TV and B98.5 on the radio. Wanted to explore new places in PTC to see if there is anywhere I like better than the place I go now. Staff was friendly. Went in for manicure. They kept asking repeatedly if I wanted a pedi. That was annoying. I understand the up-sell, but I think after the 3rd time, I know what service I want. I think the place was clean, but the overall feeling is not. 2 women worked on me and they each pulled out their own box of tools, all of which were NOT sealed in a clean packet. She barely dealt with my cuticles. A mani is a cheaper service, but the service should still be treated as an important one. A quality place will treat it as such and if they do, then you know the service for bigger services should great. read more

I went there with my daughter so she could get her nails painted. I didn't have time to get my nails done as I had other errands to run. I declined to have my nails done. I am Vietnamese. I understand it. I choose to come in and listen to hear if the ladies speak vietnamese just to hear Id they bad mouth their customers. They didn't know I was vietnamese. One lady spoke in vietnamese that had i gotten my nails done they would make $20 versus $10. I chose to bite my tongue and not say anything that I had just heard them say this. When it was time to pay, I asked what the total was for my daughters nails painted. The lady said $20. I asked her for clarification because I had just looked on the price sheet and it said $4 for kids. She kept saying what I heard was $20. So she screams to the other employees in vietnamese not knowing I understood everything she was saying. She says to the other employees in vietnamese essentially 'I keep telling this idiot what the total is and she doesn't seem to understand.' When she said this in vietnamese I was really upset! I told her that I am also vietnamese and I understood every word you just said. I just needed clarification on price because I couldnt understand her english very well. How dare you bad mouth me in vietnamese because you think you can because you assume I don't understand? The owner comes charging out and starts screaming at me and while my 6 year old was there. She said 'you mean! You young, you suppose to be nice.' I said excuse me, I needed a price clarification because there was clearly a misunderstanding. I don't need you yelling at me or scaring my daughter! The owner then threatens to call the cops on me in front of my daughter scaring her even more so. I told her yes, please to ahead and call the cops. What are you going to say? Are you going to tell them you are upset because I caught you bad mouthing your customers in your native language because you assume your customers don't understand? I will say one lady was very nice and said it was clearly a misunderstanding. Not only did she profile me but she was just angry that I busted them bad mouthing customers in their native language. This is not okay. This is why I don't go to nail salons such as this anymore. I'm tired of employees bad mouthing customers, not just me, but many others as well because you believe we don't understand. Have some manners. Work on your customer service skills! Worst experience ever! I have never had a shouting match ever with anyone in my life so I was shaking when I left. How dare you think it's okay to bad mouth customers in front of them because you assume they don't understand what you are saying in your language.
