Why do they have an inquiry section on their website, if they don't intent to use it to convert potential customers into actual customers. Haha. Massively counterintuitive. Send out another inquiry to an alternate mechanic shop in Tempe with equal reviews and they responded in minutes. This is how a good "customer experience" model should work - they got my business. They may be good mechanics, but to get new customers, they need to dedicate some more time to developing a customer service process that establishes trust via communication, rather than the perceive lack of professionalism due to lack of communication, that I am left with. read more

I don't know the first thing about cars, and I'm not going to pretend I do. What I do know is good customer service, honest feedback, and reliability. The staff at D&W Auto Service treated me well and were not intimidating (ie, appearing suspicious on the concerns you have, hawking other services, etc). While I waited the brief 20 minutes for them to assess and correct my car's issue, I saw them treat other customers just as well. They knew them by name and their car when they walked in! A customer there had to get a new compressor. The staff called their supplier, got a price, and showed the customer the price, being completely transparent from the get go. Great service! Obviously I hope nothing happens to my car. If it does, I know where to go. read more

These guys are AWESOME!! Acura told me that to repair my headlight it would be $1170. They took it apart and said the igniter and power supply were bad. I called BS on this. Then I brought my car here - they quoted me $700 for the same repair. Then they took it apart just like Acura did and low and behold it was the LIGHT BULB. Now due to a poor Acura design they had to take the bumper off to repair but total cost out the door $380. An HONEST MECHANIC. Imagine that!!! 10,000 STARS! read more

I have been taking my Acura automobiles to D & W for over 15 years and my most recent visit tells you why I do. I took the car in because one of the warning lights came on. I was concerned it was going to be a sensor that needed to be replaced for 100s of dollars. They were honest, reset it, test drove it twice and charged me $90. They noticed that the air deflector in the front of the car (which always gets hit by low curbs and parking blocks) was hanging off. They reattached it for no charge, without me even asking them to do it. D & W is more than fair/honest, they go the extra mile!! read more

These people are meticulously honest, helpful, highly skilled, and fair. They offer superior service, and when they make a suggestion, it is to save you money or prevent future problems. I really wanted to give this shop another glowing review. For service and professionalism, they do get five stars. But for meeting my needs, they unfortunately failed. Look, I get that my car is old ('87). And it's not their fault that Honda has stopped making a lot of parts (which is another discussion for another day.) But my concerns were all minor - a couple of cables and a leaky exhaust. They were not able to acquire the cables thru any of their suppliers, and they referred me to other shops for the exhaust. I came here because they are a Honda shop, and I left disappointed. If a dedicated Honda shop can't fix it, who can? It seems that everyone has given up on my car except me. read more

But three days later the engine was billowing steam from under the hood and when I looked underneath the hood I had found the radiator cap was missing. They are really nice, professional, great at explaining the work that needs to be done, and the cost is always kept to a minimum. D&W has a reputation for being one of the most honest of all the repair shops in this area of Phoenix, and I know a number of women who prefer to take their Hondas here because of this. Just got a late model Honda CR-V so of course I checked on Yelp to find the most recommended repair shop to do a thorough service and find out about any issues. From the reviews D & W looked very solid so I took my vehicle there and was very pleased with their thoroughness. They were open and up front about the issues with the car and offered expert practical solutions. I'm very glad I went there and will continue to use them for all services and oil changes with this car. These guys have always been great. I've had my auto serviced since they were Independent Import with a Tempe location. They let me bring in my own parts and don't charge extra like other shops do if you bring in parts. They're honest and always up front. I always buy used cars and one time I brought in three different cars to have them inspect each before I decided which I would buy. They best part is they only charged me for one buyer's check and not three. This last time I was in, I had some unexpected oil repairs that were going to take a lot of labor to fix (the car has more than 190k miles). I had to get to work and they made sure that not only I got to work, but that I had wheels to drive for the next day. I can't say they always pay for a rental car (this is the first time in 15 years that they did this for me), but this time it really mattered. I'll continue to drive from Tempe to Phoenix to get this type of service. I'll always buy a Honda not only because they're the best brand on the road, but also because I can't imagine ever finding another shop as great as D & W! read more

I don't even want to tell you about this place for very selfish reasons...being harder to schedule service for my Honda. Sigh. With that being said, I love this place. This place knows Honda and Acuras so well that I drive 30 miles one way to get my car looked at here. I also own a Porsche and range Rover and one of the first things I do before I buy a car is find a great mechanic. Sure, it's just a Honda but after experiencing terrible mechanics and very costly repairs, it pays to go somewhere where they know their specialty car and can diagnose the problem fast! My Honda is my high mileage car and I love my car as much as I love my other cars, hence why I come here to get it serviced. read more

A bit late to review, but I came in awhile back to get some work done, really friendly. I had a rattle in my window and they fixed it free using silicone spray. I was about to replace the whole regulator and everything, but not anymore. Def. recommend this place. read more
