The servers were also very nice to us, we had a very gentle, knowledgeable and kind server who took over our table from Siena (I forgot the name of our actual server, but both her and Siena were great. She knew a lot about all dishes). Very cozy and beautiful restaurant. My only problem was that I tried to go in to use their WiFi and get some work done at 4:30pm (my reservation was at 5) and they didn't let me, although the restaurant seemed to be ready and the host was the one kicking me out. Came here for my dad's birthday and had the best experience! We had a really large group, but I still felt like I got plenty of personal attention. The staff was amazing - constantly checking on us, refilling drinks, etc. I got the swordfish and it was cooked perfectly - everyone was talking about how great their food was. Wonderful Moscow Mules served up by the bartending staff. Then she recommended the pork chop which was other worldly and absolutely phenomenal. Tender and flavorful and cooked to perfection on a bed of mashed potatoes and broccolini. First timer here and it did not disappoint. Took a while to sit us for our reservation as the were a little backed up but once we were sat the service was great. I got the chicken cutlet - vodka style and it was delicious. A little bit on the thicker side but not lacking in crispiness at all. Really large portion size too. The vodka sauce was also very creamy and flavorful and the pasta was cooked nicely. The filet was cooked perfect and the mashed potatoes were outstanding. The food is good to me. It was pretty average service was impeccable, which is mainly why I'm giving the four stars as well as for the ambience of the place. It is a beautiful restaurant however, among all the dishes we ordered we only liked two of them. The eggplant stack was okay. The grilled octopus was very good. It came with a potato fritter, which was also very delicious. The chicken cutlet with the vodka sauce rigatoni was amazing and probably the best dish we had that night. I would also skip on the mushroom tortellini. I felt like it could be a lot more creamier. The tortellini was definitely overcooked. The pizza was probably the most terrible thing we had. overall, I don't think I will be returning, but it's good to try one time for maybe only the vodka sauce, rigatoni with chicken cutlet and the grilled octopus. read more

Eaten here a number of times for both lunch and dinner. Last time I had the Lobster risotto, which was fantastic. The time before was pizza which was also delicious (once we went back for more and their pizza oven wasn't working)! While staying in the area for business meetings we came here for dinner... Made a reservation and it's good we did, they pack this place at dinnertime! Service was decent, but the menu was great! So many incredible options to choose from! They have a nice list of pizzas too, as they have a wood fired pizza oven. We started with their table bread and this was some outstanding bread, which also included crackers and I'm pretty sure it's all made in-house. They have a nice wine list and it's not over-priced either. Next up was their salad, which was really good and made with fresh ingredients! Definitely enough salad to split with someone. My husband and I came with our daughter for dinner tonight and everything was fantastic! We got the antipasti board and a pizza to split and had leftovers to take home we were so full. The food was delicious, the pizza is wood fired! They also give you a small plate of cheese and olives to start in addition to bread which was a nice touch. On Sunday 7/12 we had dinner at Siena Italian Restaurant in Snyder. The food was generally of good quality. Service was very good. However, my brother & I made the mistake of ordering macaroni & meatballs. I am of Italian decent & have enjoyed sauce from the world over. I can state categorically, that the bitter, bad tasting sauce we were served was some of the worst I've ever had!!! They'd be better off serving "Bottled" sauce. For such a high end Italian Restaurant, this is truly unacceptable. The meatballs weren't much better!! The Chef needs a sauce & meatball making lesson from a Lil Italian Nonna. Cute restaurant located in Snyder. Our server was fantastic, it was nice to connect with someone with small kids and we exchanged ideas for ways to keep them busy this spring break! Really enjoyed the tuna tartar appetizer. The Osso buco and risotto was delicious. I had the chefs special, a veal shank with potato mash and veg and that was very good as well. My husband and I finally made it here for dinner, and it was absolutely amazing. I don't know if they accept walk-ins, but we had a reservation, and we still had to wait about 10-15min to be seated. We went to the bar for a drink and it wasn't a problem. When we were seated it, I found that the restaurant is much bigger than I realized. The ambiance is nice. It can get a little loud but nothing terrible. I really enjoyed the atmosphere. We did go closer to the holidays, so I'm thinking that that could be why it was packed Everything was great. The service was wonderful and our waitress was very nice. I didn't get many pictures because we spent our time really enjoying the meal. I do know that I'll be back for sure. On a side note, the parking lot is a little tight, and the night we went, it was full. I managed to find a spot and backed in because I knew leaving would be tricky. At the start of my meal, the hostess started going around asking if anyone had a particular car. It wasn't mine, so I continued my meal. The hostess made a second round of asking about another vehicle. Apparently, the person of the first vehicle in question had parked in a way that a person couldn't safely back out. However, that person couldn't be found in the restaurant. So, they decided to ask me to pull out of my spot so that the woman blocked in could pull forward through my spot, and then I could go back to the spot. I was a little annoyed. Not at anyone, just the situation. But of course, I hopped up to go move. Everyone apologized it was no big deal. I went back to dinner. At the end of the night, they offered us free desert for moving the vehicle. It was a super nice gesture. I was stuffed, but my husband ate one there, and we took one to go. If you're looking for incredible service and amazing food, Siena is the place for you! It is always on my rotation of places for a special occasion and a great meal. This time around for appetizers we got the Salsiccia pizza, Caesar salad and stuffed banana peppers. The pizza was excellent and had a great little spice to it from the cherry peppers. You can never go wrong with one of their pizzas! The Caesar salad and banana peppers were good too, but the pizza was the standout. For entrees, I got the veal cutlets with vodka sauce and I have to be honest, I have never wavered from this dish. They have the best vodka sauce I've ever had, and the cutlets are always so thin and crispy, the whole meal is just phenomenal! We also had the pappardelle, and that was excellent too! I can't recommend those dishes enough! For dessert and drinks, I had the pomegranate mule and the Brookie. The mule was so good and probably one of the best I've ever had, and the Brookie was excellent as always! It's definitely the go to dessert for me. Overall, I love Siena! The service is always top notch and the food is incredible! The atmosphere of the place is perfect for any special occasion or even just date night, and if you get the opportunity ask for Jake, he was an awesome server! Arrived about 30 minutes early, they seated us immediately. They also immediately mentioned that the reservation had a birthday associated with it and asked who in our party's birthday it was. Everyone that had anything to do with our table wished us a Happy Birthday! Not much room in this restaurant, but where they sat us was perfect. Not loud, but busy, and it was a relaxing environment. Food - Italian bread, fantastic, chunks of Parmesan and some olives along with olive oil - great start 5 out of 5 - octopus app - tasty sauce 3.5 out of 5. Mussels app - 5 out of 5 home run. Seafood scampi pasta dish, rates 4 out of 5 could have been a little more garlicky but that's personal taste. Seafood cooked perfectly! Pork chop - 4.5 out of 5 - cooked perfectly - tasty hot chili Demi glacé was very nice. Green beans a little under for my taste and the fingerling potatoes were cooked perfectly. If this is what they call fine dining, I'm scared. I don't think they understand what that means. Is it a nicer restaurant? Sure. Fine dining? Absolutely not. But hey, it's the suburbs of Buffalo, so the standards may be different. The nearly 30 min wait when we had reservations -- not off to a good start. Immediately I knew it was not "fine dining". Then, the salad. It was a crime. Almost half of the salad was the white stem part of the lettuce. Fine dining establishments ensure that every single bite is perfect and of the highest quality. This was not that at all. It was giving olive garden level quality of care and attention to the food. And when I gave the server the feedback saying the salad was just okay because it was all stems, all she said was okay. Why even bother asking me how the food is, if you don't actually care? Absolutely the place to be, if your looking for a great dining experience. This small restaurant can get pretty crowded fast, and they do not take reservations (update they accept reservations now). So I strongly suggest coming as early as possible. The decor is beautiful, and elegant. Our server John was really good. He took the time to answer all our questions. He also gave some really good recommendations. He was very professional and very courteous. Siena is well worth the visit, plan to come gain very soon. Antipasti- Loved the meat and cheese choices of this board. Everything on this board, was made of high quality meats and cheeses. You can come here just for the antipasti, and will have a wonderful meal. Just don't forget to have some wine to complete this meal. Frutti Di Mare- what a amazing entree.. spaghetti noodles, with a wonderful creamy white sauce. That's pretty good in itself, but there's also shrimp, scallops, and crab meat also added. Now this takes the entree on a whole new level. Braised short ribs- Looking for a hearty meal? Then this is it. A wonderful piece of braised beef rib, in a Marsala mushroom sauce. For food I got a pizza and my goodness that pizza was so good. Also had goat cheese, it was the best piece I EVER had, because it was the first piece I ever had. The lobster was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Perfecto. The wine selection was great and I loved seeing Cynar behind the bar (I rarely if ever see that outside of Italy). My experience here... abysmal. For a restaurant that claims to be fine dining, it left something to be desired. Wait was quite long despite a reservation and had to stand in quite an awkwardly small area trying to get out of everyone's way. I felt like an inconvenience just being there. Now, when we sat down, the table wasn't even set for us. Furthermore, the utensils were dirty and needed to be replaced. We were also sat next to a whole pile of cardboard boxes. Really didn't give the impression of fine dining. We started with the Cesar salad and the burrata. The burrata was really good with the combination of the squash. HOWEVER. The Cesar salad was very disappointing. It was all of the white part of the lettuce and absolutely no greens. Additionally, we couldn't taste any of the dressing because all we tasted was the water of the stem. It's quite a mid salad. Don't recommend the Cesar salad. I personally had the rigatoni bolognese. This was quite delicious and I thought it was a great entree! The service was friendly so no complaints about the staff. But it really was not a great experience for a place that claims to be fine dining. There's definitely things that could be improved upon. read more

Siena is an Italian restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating, and features a brick oven for pizzas. We came here for dinner and had a good experience. We didn't have a reservation so they asked if we would want to dine at the bar and we agreed. The downside of that, is that the waiters are constantly coming up to the bar for drink orders, and I was bumped into and brushed against repeatedly. The bar service was fantastic though. The bartenders were friendly, fast, and polite. Everything we had food wise was excellent as well! To start, we were brought a plate of bread, seasoned crackers, marinated olives, and hard cheese, with olive oil and balsamic... yum! Then for an appetizer we split the fried squash blossoms appetizer, which had a subtle note of zucchini but complimented the filling and sauce. For my entree I ordered the Salsiccia pizza which wasn't what I was expecting, but delicious. Overall great atmosphere, excellent flavors, and tasty food. My daughter and future son in law took "the moms" out for a special dinner and Sienna has now become my new favorite restaurant. What a wonderful place to spend with family and friends. We had reservations and there was no wait like some places. We were seated immediately. The lights were dimmed enough to allow a relaxing atmosphere, yet lighted enough to see the menu and it made you forget everyone around you. I absolutely loved it. Our waiter Joey was just fantastic, you could tell he was really into his job and enjoyed being there. We shared several appetizers from artichokes to mussels. The wine list was fabulous and had some great mixed drinks. I ended up having the Risotto with cold water lobster and all I can say is that this risotto was amazing, But I expected that! Sienna's dress code, well.... You don't have to wear a suit or a dress, just dress nicely because it's not a casual joint like some chain restaurants. The prices are up there, so you know the old saying you get what you pay for, you get what you pay for. Great atmosphere, great food, great service. Siena lives up to its reputation and it was hopping on an otherwise quiet Wednesday night. It does seem the restaurant is the dining spot to see and be seen. There were a few power brokers dining that evening and they were greeted as regulars. Siena has a warm, romantic look and the decor is well balanced: A rich, sleek design with lowered lighting on one side and a wall of windows, lighter and brighter, on the other. Siena features a mostly Mediterranean menu whose specialty is pasta, fish and their thin-crust pizzas. I had the tuna tartare ($18) that was beautifully plated with glistening, finely diced albacore. It was delicious. For the main, I had the orecchiette pasta verde that was overly salted - and also swimming in olive oil. It also had big pieces of bitingly bitter raw garlic which made the dish unpalatable. Siena's kitchen ruined the dish: I ate the shrimp that the server suggested I add to the main and except for three small bites, I ignored the pasta. The dish went back to the kitchen mostly untouched. [Side note: No server asked if there was a problem with my main although they delivered it to the kitchen, nearly uneaten.] My (Italian) boyfriend said the rigatoni arrabbiata ($28) was good. It did look like perfection on a plate. The salted caramel gelato was luxurious and delicious. Service had some glitches forgetting small things and I felt we were being rushed but it was mostly on point. Siena is one of the better dining destinations in Buffalo. They've been in business for over 25 years and aren't resting on their laurels. read more

I love this place. It is my go to when I'm in Williamsville/Buffalo area. The food is incredible whether it's a wood fired pizza, the special or something from the menu. Pastas are great, fresh seafood (I prefer the halibut) or a steak or braised rib. The staff could not be more wonderful. Welcoming and friendly.
