I've been going to this place for years , usually they have great staff and service . I came in right after they open today( about 10 minutes after) , and saw they had chicken rolls that were clearly left over from the day before . I asked the guy at the counter if they could make me a fresh chicken roll which has never been an issue in the past . He said he needed to check with the other guy who was making food at the time ( balding man didn't catch his name ) The other guy says it's going to have to be 30 minutes because he's making specials and He considers me his last priority( I am the only customer in the store) . I told him okay that's fine I'll come back in thirty to which he reply's (annoyed) "well no I can't even guarantee it'll be 30 minutes it might be an hour or maybe two hours" . He then again repeated "you would be my last priority" . I'm not sure if he was just having a bad day , or if he just really didn't want to time out of his day to make me a chicken roll but it was definitely an odd and off putting experience . I told him I couldn't wait uo to two hours for one chicken roll and he just shrugged . I guess I'm getting lunch somewhere else since unfortunately he went out of his way to not take my business . The food is actually great but if they aren't willing to make it for you you won't ever get to find out . This was my first bad experience there, so I'll try again another day and hopefully they are willing to make me a chicken roll with less than a two hour wait next time . read more

It was nice, but when we walked in and went to the booth, a lady at the front snapped at us and it was rude. The people next to us did the same thing, and she didn't say a thing. Almost none of the workers wore masks, and with a spike and unvaccinated children in the restaurant, it wasn't the best. Overall, service was pretty fast and they have big serving sizes. The waitress that ended up serving us was nice and the pasta we ate was tasty. However, the tortellini tasted like breakfast (specifically waffles and bacon with butter). We'd been here a few times and their pizzas are really good, but this was our first bad experience with sitting down and ordering pasta. read more

Ordered via Seamless which had a 35 minute estimated delivery time. That's why I chose D'Cocco's and paid the ridiculous $2 "delivery fee." My pizza finally arrived after 75 minutes with no apology and it was GROSS. Ordered a grandmas pizza but it was thick like Sicilian. Stopped by with some co-workers on a Saturday afternoon after dropping off some furniture to a satellite office nearby. I had the bbq chicken slice and grandma slice. Excellent!! The place wasn't crowded but had a steady stream of customers. The guys behind the counter were jovial and understanding (when I made a mistake ordering). Great Pizza for a good price. Had their cheese and peperoni, also had a Cesar salad which I would not recommend, overdressed, and not the best flavor of dressing, but seemed homemade, so that's a plus. Excellent standard NY style pie. read more

This is somewhat of a limited review, since I only tasted the chicken marsala while I was here. I came here on a Thursday evening with a buddy, who was raving about their food, so I was pretty stoked. I left somewhat unfulfilled. In my quest for finding the perfect chicken marsala on Long Island, I did not find it here. D'Cocco's pales in comparison to Mama Theresa's but is definitely better than Mother Kelly's. The chicken was cooked fine - it was not deep fried like my recent experience at MK's. The sauce was not really creamy but had an unappealing viscosity to it. It seemed as if they added corn starch to thicken it, making the sauce slightly gelatinous - like you'd find at your local chinese takeout. The mushrooms tasted canned and the marsala was definitely "cooking wine." Overall - not my favorite. read more

Was in the area on business and looking for a Long Island type pizzeria/Italian restaurant. Found one in the TJ Maxx plaza up the street but the line was out the door. Came in here and saw it next to the Stop and Shop. Went in, was greeted by what seemed to be the owner and was given choice of tables. Given a breadbasket full of piping hot garlic knots and a baguette or sub roll warmed and sliced. Garlic knots were great. Bread was decent Got baked clams for a starter. Very tasty. Ordered Ziti a la Vodka with chicken for a main. Large bowl with lots of chicken. Delicious Service was prompt and friendly On way out, owner went out of his way to say thanks. Not a good experience at all. Guy behind counter was rude and unprofessional. Pizza was ok, but the guy behind the counter kept walking away from me as I was ordering. Then he was yelling and cursing and acting hyped up. He threw a rag at a worker to clean up. It landed on the floor. She then proceeded to wipe our table with it. Won't be back. read more

Very popular local Pizzeria & Restaurant that's crowded even on a Thursday night has wonderful lunch specials and generally a lot of room during lunch time evening times try to get here after the school crowd so generally 7:30 on your much more likely to have a nice quiet dinner who does good waiters are very responsive and the owner always comes by and checks on you read more

Really good regular slice here. One of the best when it's fresh out of the oven. That's probably my only beef with this place. Specialty slices aren't going to be super fresh. I'm just a pizza snob and spoiled but there's nothing like a fresh slice of pizza. read more

Terrible pizza and person on the phone are incompetent. I order a pie and got half pie. Never have I ever receive half a pie and paid 15.00$. They weren't even busy as an excuse. Front desk was baffled by any questions and demand I made. Completely unqualified and customer service severely lacking. Cashier did not ask me if I wanted a refund, a change of order just a dumb lost face as to how he gave me a half of pie. Don't eat here not worth it. I did eat half the pie that I got and I wasn't impressed either. We shared a thin crust pizza with half onions and half green peppers. It was pretty good. The staff was nice. Some of he top tables were rocky to sit at. They could be moved but it looked like the high top chairs could not be moved - which was odd. read more

I introduced D'Coccos to my son and we have never looked back. The pizza is always fresh, and the people are always nice. If you like a nice regular slice that crunches with every bite go here. I thank GOD for D'coco's! First, I grew up in Queens. We have great pizza. But the guys who make it, not so much. These guys at D'coco's are really nice. They seem happy to see you and aren't pissed that you came in. Their salad house salad is fresh and dependable. The dressing is simple, but very good. I used to eat here. The food was ok, nothing special about it. I could take it or leave it. My beef is with the owner. I'll never forget, it was right after Hurricane Sandy hit. We were all trying to clean up our homes. We spent hours ripping up wet carpets and cleaning etc. No Food, anywhere. Was surprised to see D'Coccos open. I went in with my father and my girlfriend after a long day of cleaning out. They were selling these personal pan-type pizzas only. Totally understandable. However, those small round pizzas were PAPER THIN, I mean so thin folks, that the sauce in the middle was seeping through the dough to the paper plate below...of the same width. I am not exaggerating. He had the nerve to charge desperate locals $8 each. As hungry as I was, I looked at it and looked at him and said "no way" and walked out and took my father and girlfriend with me. We stood outside thinking of where else we can go eat. The owner (I don't know his name, some salt and pepper haired big middle-aged pisan), walks out, gets in my face and says "I'm not price gouging! This is what I normally charge for that!" I looked at him and told him "well then, if THAT'S what you've been selling for $8 each all along...you've been ripping people off for years". He got so pissed and just went inside. I don't care how "ok" that food was, the owner did a great job of leaving a bad taste in my mouth to the point that I'll never give him business there again. read more

Still love this place. Amazingly addictive garlic knots. They treat my friends and I like royalty, wait staff "recognize" us and hook us up with plenty of free refills of soda and dinners were HUGE-GINORMOUS portions. My Linguine and Red Clam Sauce was delicious. I could not find a fault, it was so garlicky it would keep the vampires away for months (the way I like it). My wife's Flounder Oregenata was cooked perfectly and had such an amazing flavor to it. I could have picked her plate up and licked the sauce clean off it! Yeah, that good. I really enjoy there pizza here and usually will have it delivered some days it's arrives super fast. The only thing I do not like is when I order my knots and specifically ask for some sauce I never get it so I had to stop ordering it. Also with spices I asked for Parmesan cheese and never came!
