D'Elias on Wood Rd is always a welcoming experience. So quick and easy to call in an order, and the food is prepared on time. I ordered fries this last trip, and the considerate clerks made sure that they cooked the fries fresh for me when I arrived. I really want to like this place but the employees just won't let me. I spent $41 on 3 large sandwiches, a small side of macaroni and 2 drinks. The Philly cheesesteak Sammie's were just okay and only needed a little salt. The macaroni has a lot of mustard but some people like it that way. My ham sandwich was just lacking.....lacking ham 2 thin slices, lacking a decent piece of tomato and lacking fresh bread! I mean, really, stale bread?!?! See photo! To make matters worse, a customer told me that they were ready and had been for quite a while. Why didn't they call my number??? I never did get an answer to that one. Prices have gone thru the roof!!! They are not the only sandwich in town. My god all i wanted was to have a tasty lunch. But not for 20bucks. I ordered the 6" hot pastrami fries and fountain drink. I was shocked when the total was 19dollars plus.. ihad to put the brakes on and walk out. I went down the street to something more affordable....What gets me i had points accumulated and the cashier didnt know how to redeem them on my bill. So what good are they? Theres a fine line on what is acceptable to pay for lunch...Its only a sandwich not even laced with Gold dust!!!..i dont forsee d's being in business much longer. I have always wanted to try this place and for the price I was hoping to be satisfied with my sandwich. I ordered a 2 meat sandwich and got 1 piece of each meat in a huge loaf of bread. if you have lived in Riverside for any length of time...more then likely you have tried D'Elias if not...please do yourself a solid and check it out.. our office started to celebrate with a good closing month about 40 years ago....the staff would get so so stoked when the orders were taken....then as we all grabbed these delicious sandwiches....all trying to talk or laugh as amazing crumbs would fall off our lips...... fast forward 40 years later....menu has grown a bit....I go for my now usual of Steak and Cheese sandwich.....the crunch and yet softness of the bread...the way the steak and cheese and peppers all marry as one.....I am taken back to another time....where quality was king and a sandwich....was this amazing event...... one thing that has not changed was the service and care....jeremy a kid who I have no clue who taught him about class.......did a pro move....took a seperate bag for the potatoe salad (amazing by the way) to make sure the heat from the sandwich did not effect it......only a master would know that hack.... Really enjoyed my Capicola grinder with extra meat. The meat was extra lean. The bread was fresh with a crispy crust. The drink choices are many, I had a grape Fanta which reminds me of my child days. Have been a customer for over 40 years. My only suggestion would be to offer a vinegar as an option. read more

Delia's Grider Riverside has been a favorite restaurant of mine since I was a child they've been in business for 66 years. I've been going to them for 63 years. Never had a bad meal there. Every meal is always been excellent. The grinders are excellent they're tasty. Yes, their prices have gone up But that's because of inflation and competition and the price of minimum wage they make a tremendous sandwich grinder all kinds I recommend this restaurant to anybody that wants to try a good grinder around the riverside area.
