    Sitting, waiting for my order

I enjoyed my sandwich from here. I never had bread that fantastic! It was crispy on the outside and oh-so-soft inside! Only thing I wish I added was like oil/vinegar/ oregano combo. Other than that, this place is great! I think I got like a turkey bacon sandwich.

Wow...worst bread. Stale bread even though it says the bread is soft. I can't see past that. Manager said that's how they make it. But after taking half bread off the sandwich was very plain. Won't b coming back :/

Whole d'loaded vegetarian with turkey pastrami, no olives, extra mayo. It's ok. Nothing special
    Kristine J.

Tried the whole D'loaded Vegetarian sub with turkey pastrami and thought it was just okay. No olives, extra mayo. I almost thought that they forgot to put the turkey pastrami in there since there was only 2 thin layers of it. Tastes fine, but overall, the sandwich didn't wow me or taste any more interesting than a Subway sandwich. It was like $16 on Ubereats (extra $2.50 for the turkey pastrami). It had some oil too.

Didn't even know they opened a 2nd location! Love this place! Sandwiches are so delicious.. also love their Mac salad.. always order a whole ham so I can half of it there and half later lol :) IMO one of the best things in Riverside!

Best Grinders ever. Service is always excellent. I was born and raised in Riverside California. My family and neighborhood grew up eating Grinders. They weren't as expensive as they are today. I am 72 and still enjoying D' Ella's Grinders.

Loaded Vegetarian. As soon as I got in the car, I unwrapped it and took a bite. So great!!

Went in to Riverside today and got a loaded vegetarian on the way home. So good!! Ordered on the Toast app and it was ready for me when I got there. So happy with this great sandwich. It's perfect. Every time! Good news tho... I'll be working in the area for the next few weeks so at least once a week, I'm getting D'Elia's!!!

Delia's Van Buren Team, you out did yourself, Thank you for the amazing salad. Love the presentation

Meagan you are great, your Customer Service is on point. Thank you for the friendly and helpful service.

    Awesome Grinder Sandwiches.
    Ken J.

Once again D'elia's is never disappointing with the best subs in the IE. Please try to stop by at either of their locations in Downtown Riverside or Woodcrest Riverside. The turkey pastrami's is one of there best sellers that's my opinion, stop by and let me know what you think .

Is there a new password for the wifi?

Any longtime Riversiders recall D'Elias located on Arlington avenue near Vanburen?

Absolutely! That was actually (when it was built around 1960) the third D’Elia’s Grinders. It was actually called “D’Elia’s Grinder Sandwich,” to differentiate it from the original University Ave location. It was also separately owned and operated.

Is there a password for your wifi? Employees answer was "I don't know!?!?"

We first visited on Valentine's Day in February and had an excellent experience. The pizzas were delicious, we were seated without a reservation, and we left excited to come back. Yesterday, we decided to bring a few friends with us because we had spoken so highly of the restaurant. We arrived a little after 1:00 p.m. on a Sunday, and the restaurant was fairly empty with only a handful of tables occupied. We were seated immediately, and our waitress was friendly throughout the meal. Each couple ordered pizzas along with appetizers and drinks. We ordered the Italian salad but were accidentally brought the Green Goddess instead. It was a harmless mistake, and since we had enjoyed that salad during our previous visit, we happily kept it. Our friends received their pizzas, and we assumed ours would follow shortly. Thirty minutes passed, and by then our friends were nearly finished eating. Meanwhile, we noticed several tables that had arrived after us receiving their food before we did. We asked our waitress to check on our order. She went back to the kitchen and returned, explaining that our pizza had apparently been forgotten and was only then being made. She assured us it would take no more than 10 minutes. Fifteen more minutes passed, and our pizza still hadn't arrived. Since we had a clear view of the kitchen, it didn't appear there was any urgency to get our order out. At that point, after waiting nearly an hour since placing our order, we had to cancel it because we had other plans and couldn't stay any longer. Our waitress apologized and removed the pizza from our bill, but that was the only resolution offered. While we appreciated her kindness, we left the restaurant disappointed and still hungry. Mistakes happen, and forgetting an order is understandable from time to time. What was most disappointing was how the situation was handled. After waiting an hour for a forgotten order, we had hoped for a more meaningful effort to make things right beyond simply removing the item we never received. It's unfortunate because we genuinely loved this restaurant after our first visit and were excited to introduce it to our friends. Thankfully, our friends enjoyed their meals, but this experience left us hesitant to return. Great pizza is important, but great service and how a restaurant responds when things go wrong are what keep customers coming back.

We walked in at 7:37 p.m., and as we were placing our order, we were told they were only accepting takeout orders. This was disappointing since the restaurant didn't close until 8:00 p.m. We easily would have finished our meal before closing. If there's a dine-in cutoff time, it would be helpful to communicate that clearly so customers know before even coming into the restaurant. The poke itself tasted average. My biggest disappointment was the protein portion, which was much smaller than I expected for the price. Overall, the staff was kind and the restaurant was clean, but the dine-in policy and portion size left me feeling underwhelmed. Everything in me desires to leave a two star yet I'd say 3 is fair because of the service. Bianca for the win.

The bowl was really good using fries instead of rice honestly made it hit way harder. The chicken was tender, the beef had a nice char and flavor, and both tasted fresh. Portions were generous too--definitely didn't feel like they were skimping. Everything tasted authentic and well-made, not dry or bland like some Mediterranean spots can be. Sauces brought it all together without overpowering the meat. The food arrived on time, the order was correct, and it came all the way from Riverside. I'm not sure on the ambiance because I had the food delivered. As for the food, i opted for the combo plate. It came with 3 pieces of steak, chicken, and 1 Kefta kabob, rice, 2 sides, and pita bread. They have a lot of sides to choose from but I don't like that there's an up charge to substitute salad for rice so I got the rice. I love that they allow you to select how you want your beef cooked. I ordered Medium and it was cooked perfectly. The kefta kabob was well seasoned and packed full of Mediterranean spices (delicious). The chicken was full of flavor, cooked all the way through and tender. The rice was full of flavor. I've never had Mediterranean food with rice like this. You may or may not like it. I enjoyed the extra flavor than just having white rice. The tabbouleh was fresh and gave my meal some brightness. The pita bread was a disappointment for me. You could tell it's store bought or not freshly made. You can taste the flour or starch on it. It was dry and not good. It reminded me of the Pita bread in the bakery section of food4less. The other disappointing element to my meal was the cucumber yogurt (tzatziki) I don't like that the cucumber was cubed and it was watery. It lacked that cucumber flavor and it appeared to be prepared watered down intentionally. It was even lacking that tart yogurt taste because it was so thinned out. Overall, it was still a fairly good meal. I would suggest making or buying better pita bread. I would be willing to try it again because the meat was delicious and I'd get hummus instead of the cucumber yogurt.
