That was certainly my experience as well. D Hou has earned its reputation for freshly prepared food made with high-quality vegetables and proteins. The Mongolian beef was excellent. I swear I haven't been this excited about Chinese food in AWHILE.. my family and I were looking for another go-to spot because our usual place we liked to go to (Ding Ho) just wasn't coming up to snuff. However the pot stickers are honestly the best I've ever had! Reminded me of my trip to China. I think I found my "go to" Chinese restaurant across the street from my go to Mexican restaurant. Lynn, the hostess, waitress and server was helpful with explaining some of the dishes to us. She remembered my other family members coming in a few months ago, this was my first venture here, but definitely will not be the last. The hot tea was her special blend and was quite good. We've been here maybe 3 times in the last 15 years (the last time was very recently) and each time, I say "Never again" -- so why do we keep ending up back here? I guess it seemed convenient at the time. This time, I'm really going to remember that it's not worth going back there. Food is almost flavorless. Most recently, tasted "old" or slightly off. The times we've been here, service has been slow, and often annoying in some way. For example, the one person serving the dining room, when we were there most recently, had a very long, loud, and unhappy conversation on the phone while we just sat there (and had already sat there quite a long time) just waiting to order what we thought would be a fast lunch. read more
