Fast forward to yesterday I was craving Chinese food for dinner and I had ordered online through the MealKeyWay website and had my husband pick up our order. My order: house chow mein, orange chicken,half duck order, and broccoli beef. He arrived about 15mins early than our scheduled time and it was ready. Another visit to Good Eats! So glad we went today, they baked their yummy custard pies! Thank you Jade, so good. I also decided to try something new every time we go, so today I got L20 on the menu it is a two item combo with a twist. Chow mien (house special chow mien ) and sweet and sour chicken it is so good enough to take home fore another meal. Then we ordered a big bowl of egg drop soup, so we would enough to take home. My friend invited me here because she visits almost weekly. Although I had little conversation with the staff, because my friend and the ladies spoke in their native tongue, they were so kind and welcoming. My friend and I opted to try something she hadn't tried here before, which was something I had never had anywhere, the dried scallop & egg fried rice. After an evening of some much needed pampering, I decided to make it a Full-On Asian night & have some Chinese food next to the hair spa shop. There are so many options to choose from that I went with something basic during its last hour of service. Mind you, no one was inside when I placed my order. Next thing you know four customers come in. Two to-go and two couples to dine inside. I went with Mushroom Chicken & a Kung Pao chicken with half chow mein & fried rice. Something tasted different on that Fried Rice. My food was served piping hot that I burned the roof of my mouth. Pepsi products served but I chose a pink Lemonade. I was stuffed halfway through my meal. The mushroom chicken had great flavor & a flavorful broth. The chow mein was good a little on the greasy side. I asked my server for a to-go container. I gave her time since I saw she was busy. I got tired of waiting and left half my plate on the table. On second thought, it wasn't that good to take with me. As I was going out the door, the lady said, "I get that box for you.' Me: ' Nah, I'm good. Keep it.' And I bounced out the door. It's A'ight. I've had better. Last week was our first time trying Good Eats Chinese Food in North Fresno, and it was such a great find. We went for lunch and dined in, but they also do take out orders and catering. The food was excellent and everything tasted incredibly fresh and made to order, and not at all like the typical Chinese food you get everywhere else. There was something genuinely unique about the flavors, and the menu had so much more variety than what I'm used to seeing at most local spots. My favorite here would have to be their combo plates. My go-to items are their chow mein, Mongolian beef, and mushroom chicken. I also really like their mixed vegetables, broccoli beef, dim sum, and won ton noodle soup. The more items in your combo plate, the pricier it gets. However, portions are generous, and depending on my appetite, the food can last a week. Service is friendly - I enjoy seeing the woman at the front when I come in. The only misses for me would be their orange chicken and sweet and sour chicken. I also wish they had prawns with mixed vegetable on the menu. However, since the new management, this is the restaurant I choose to go to, especially since it's right down the street from my place. When I go in for takeout, it's always very clean and welcoming. Yuki and the others are so nice and very attentive. Roast duck, pork belly, and barbecue pork are my favorites, but since my venture into veganism, I've veered more towards soups, fish, and tofu. The chicken was so good like it is all I can think of. I had so many leftovers that I was able to eat it for dinner. They serve very large portions and mind you we went during the lunchtime, which we would assume that it was going to be smaller, but it was actually large. One of the better place for delicious Chinese food. It's pretty underrated in my opinion. I really liked their wasabi shredded chicken, soy sauce chicken, roasted duck, and the beef chow fun. Those dishes are what we normally ordered. Their roasted duck is closest to what you can buy in Southern California. I have tried it at other restaurants in town but none is comparable. The beef chow fun is on par all the time. Flavors are there as compared to imperial garden. For the shredded chicken, make sure pour a little bit of wasabi sauce at a time until to your liking. If you put all in, you will feel it in your nose when you eat it. The lady at the counter is always nice and friendly. She always smiling whenever we come to pick up our food.
