Genuinely can't remember if DP Dough was around when I was a student but I never had it if so. I have had calzones from other college locations but this would have been nearly a decade ago and I don't remember if I liked it or not. I got the bbq chicken zone for around $11. It was a decent size for the price and was fairly filling. It just tasted like it was cooked ages ago and reheated poorly (which is probably accurate realistically). It was definitely mostly bread (not fillings) and what was inside didn't seem high quality. It's a late night spot in a college town so I didn't expect much. And they are open until 4 which is pretty clutch. I'd probably rather grab something from 7-11 for cheaper though. Wouldn't return unless desperate.

I wasn't worried about the bad reviews and you shouldn't either. Any and everyone expectation I had was met. Great menu options, clean, friendly staff and milkshakes in the winter! This place is an absolute must but mind the hours since they do cater to the location (college town). I chose the make your own calzone. It was ready quickly and served very hot in it's own little cardboard box. The dough was perfectly cooked and the ingredients were fresh. There are no fountain drinks but a large selection of bottled drinks is found in a cooler behind the counter. The milkshake....wonderful. I had chocolate but one of the employees said I had to try the banana on my next visit. When in downtown, DP Dough is a must try. Might be busier at bar closing time but on a Thursday at 2pm you will be the only one in the place.

Very disappointed how these came out. Taste is ok, but not really tossed in the sauce at all. I suppose I can't really argue with the only restaurant open at 3am

I enjoyed my calzone a lot! My friend got the mac and cheese one and she enjoyed it too. Fast service and casual atmosphere

I traveled almost one hour to get to this place because my fiancé was raving about it and was sooo upset when he found out they closed the Amherst location (we live in MA). He had such fond memories of drunken calzone calls at 1am, apparently, lol. So. I broke my diet and we went. Let me tell you- it was HANDS DOWN the best calzone in my life. Ps... my parents owned a pizza restaurant (so shhh...don't tell them I said DP Dough had the best). Anyway, we paid about $10 for a huge, super crusty and over stuffed calzone. Amazing. It's probably best they got rid of the Amherst location because I would probably weigh 300 lbs. I had to take a star off because the lady behind the counter just had this look like she hated life. No customer service. No smile. Nothing. Also, we loved it so much we went back two days later. An hour we traveled only to find a sign of the door that read "back in 10-15 mins". Sooo we waited about a half hour when he finally showed up. My second calzone wasn't made right and also had much less filling. All in all I would definitely be back! It's just too bad that customer care is lacking

Delicious hand made calzones! A bit divey and located in a shady alley way, but it was delicious! I had the BBQ Chicken Calzone. Awesome.

It is what it is. Dive-y little back-alley shack that serves up yummy, endlessly greasy calzones!

It's like the only pace in collegetown open late. Plus the food is amazing. a little pricey but well worth it.

Ugh, I just think DP Dough is gross. Unless you're drunk and its 2 am, NO. Even then, just go to hot truck, you could use the walk.

pricey for what you get, but they're open wicked late, which is a huge advantage in a "college" town

Over priced! This should be like a $5 snack not an under filled $8 plus delivery fee joke!

The loaded tots are great and my favorite calzone is a tie between the potato and black and Bleu.

We sat in an inside booth but it was very sunny and there were no shades on the window so our friend had to wear his sunglasses at the table. Huckleberry is a more-tart relative of the blueberry, and is notoriously difficult to farm. There was so much fruit here that we couldn't really say it was the dominant flavor. Quite nice. Nice red hue, too. Wait ... "Berry Man"-ilow? Not sure of the intended implications. It seems to get sweeter as it warms up. I still don't get the name. Wachusett Blueberry Ale was a less-tart and more malty brew. This to us was more beer that fruit-punch. So one of liked the first, and the other liked this. There were maybe a dozen more drafts to choose from. The bar was pleasant, bright, and relaxing.
