[[HIGHLIGHT]]Da Claudio is a welcoming Italian restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] What I really liked that the owner was there and greeted us. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It has a neighborhood feel even for being downtown.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The lasagne offered very tender noodles and tasted like it was just made. It had Waygu beef but I am not sure I could tell the difference. Server staff were attentive and there were some fun Italian wines with the meal. Bread comes with olive oil. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place just had a great vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Come here from time to time since the restaurant is very close by to where I live. Food I'd good but nothing outstanding and service is quite good.

I tried out Da Claudio for the first time and I loved it! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The dim lighting to the light jazz go the tasty food, the vibes were high![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Also, we had amazing service from Samira! She recommended the blood orange and strawberry sorbet for dessert!!

Great neighborhood Italian spot. Perfect for hosting larger / more important events. Place is upscale, wide and spacious with attentive service and large tables for bigger groups. Staff was helpful and always kept waters refilled. I got the lasagna which had generous portions of meat and was very tasty. My friends got the wagyu spaghetti, pesto, etc. and all also loved their dishes. Espresso martini was also solid!

I've been coming here for a decade. The menu hasn't really changed but it has stayed consistently good. Solid Italian but definitely not a red sauce place. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a huge dining room and are very accommodating of walk-ins and large groups.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]In recent years I've taken to going in a sitting at the bar for their happy hour.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'll order a plate of the absolutely most delicious fried baby artichokes I've ever had and a drink and just enjoy the sensory experience of the nice marble bar-top and hand crafted cocktails. The last time we went the bartender even branded the orange peel in my partner's old fashioned with the bar's logo. It was such a cool touch.

It was after 10pm on Saturday night and my friends and I were in the mood for Italian. We called Da Claudio to see if they could accommodate our party of 3 and were told to come on in... Ten minutes later, we arrived and were seated quickly. Flor was our server and she took good care of us. We started with an order of Fritto Misto and and a Caesar Salad to share, along with a few glasses of wine. For our entrees, I went with the Black Linguine (Squid ink pasta, head-on prawns, spicy tomato sauce) and it was perfection. My friends both had the Garganelli (wagyu bolognese, parmigiano) and were also very pleased. We finished the meal with an order of chocolate gelato to share, which was the perfect sweet ending to our meal, and very timely as we got it in just as the kitchen was closing! According to their website, Da Claudio sources fresh ingredients local producers and sustainable seafood as well... and it's also worth noting that we found the prices reasonable and portions large. If you find yourself in the area, check this place out!

It delivered on both fronts, but I really was blown away by the wine. The sheer quantity of available wines is really impressive, and the sommelier was able to recommend a rare wine that fit our interests (a fantastic, effervescent, creamy Txakoli that had lovely fruit and minerals). Later, I tried amazing ice cider. The food rundown: -Sesame pizza Bianca: complimentary bread! This was very good and quite sizable. The bottom is entirely encrusted with sesame. -Scallop crudo (rhubarb, shiso): very good and the plating was gorgeous. Meaty scallops with tangy and pungent flavors. -Snowdance chicken (spinach, sherry, thyme): Super tender, crispy-skinned chicken in a savory sherry sauce. -Sea bass (asparagus, hollandaise): I was surprised at how remarkably well this dish worked. The asparagus was so good with the rich, buttery sauce. Definitely a smaller portion, but the chicken was huge so it balanced out. -Potatoes with ramps: Yum. Served hashbrown-style and the ramps were added as little sauce dollops. I loved the space, and by that I mean the ambience and also the literal amount of space we had to ourselves. We got to stretch out in a roomy corner booth. The room featured a lot of exposed brick and grey and utilitarian ceilings, but it manages to be cozy all the same.

We came in on a Friday evening and it was pretty quiet inside. After we were sat down upstairs, it took a long time for our waitress to come to take our order. We got the Butterscotch flip, Getaway driver, and Big trouble. These drinks were not it. Although the prices are okay($19 each), they definitely need some improvement. All three had very strong flavors that were not balanced with the rest of the drink. After we finished our drinks, we waited an especially long time for the waitress to come back, check on us, and give us our bill. It was especially frustrating because we were the only ones in the bar at this point and we could hear them chatting downstairs. Overall, both service and the drinks need improvement. David made our night. The only reason I would ever walk back into this place is to sit at the bar and let David mesmerize me. FOOD: Broccoli rabe was fresh, but I needed a steak knife to cut through it. It was very al dente. Not cut properly, which is to cut crosses in the stems. Salad was fresh and crisp, high quality fennel and greens. Lovely. Agnoletti was divine. Home made. Focaccia very good with subtle flavors and just the right crust. Olive oil, good. The front of house staff was lovely, two ladies, and a friendly guy. Super lovely. Treated us like friends. Also the busboys were all gentlemen. I loved them.
